~ Another Concerned CitizenYou Were Warned! There … Are you satisfied now? You made Jen cancel the podcast. Jen begged, pleaded, threatened, got annoyed, got angry, and finally she rose above it all and wished you all well. Did you become a sustaining subscriber on Patreon? No! She announced goals. She paid for help. She gave you a 7-day free trial. She gave away tote bags. Did any of that eke out 1 measly dollar from you, Tightwad Tanya? No! Oh, you did use that 7-day free trial. However, you canceled right away leaving a tidy sum of $0.00 on the table. You sure know how to put yourself out there, don’t you? When it comes time to supporting Jen, all of a sudden you “need to cutback because you already have too many subscriptions.” Horse Kidneys! This isn’t the first time Jen needed your help and you stood there with a dumb blank expression on your face. She could have been touring on a private jet to big theaters across the nation having the time of her life if you had bought tickets to her appearances. Instead, you said you would “Watch her special on Netflix” … and then … not even do that. What’s it going to take??? Huh? How about buying cleverly crafted merchandise that has cute/witty/interesting sayings? Again, No! You’ll just listen to the free version of the podcast and complain about the amount of annoying commercials. How are we going to get it through your thick skull that it all costs money? … including Patreon carving out a nice healthy slice of the pie for themselves. Now, Jen can count on you to do 1 thing: lament that the podcast is going away. She deserves a lot better than your sorry existence. Jen is being forced, by your hand, to justify to herself that she doesn’t want to tour or talk about her life anymore and that she is thrilled about writing for someone else at an office job. Do you know why that’s so? She traveled to your town, arranged for the theater, did morning radio with the grossest people on God’s green earth and then she comes out on stage to CRICKETS. How infuriating! Her return on all this effort: bupkis … sometimes even less than diddly squat. Others are rewarded with millions every month doing that. Instead, her fan base is a bunch of Cheapskate Charlenes who won’t pony up even if a gun is pointed to their head. It’s too late now! This ship has sailed.

AWellhamJen! Excellent and funny! 😎I would have never found Jen without Stephanie Miller! She’s a comedy writer! She’s so exceptional, funny and so witty! Listen if you can- I love her. I forget and laugh each episode! Jen also should be seen more she’s beautiful with a great smile- her face crinkles into her own bright fun of story-sharing. 🙏🏻🇺🇸💙

Laura C LindsayFun, chatty, great for long ridesDiscovered this podcast on a long solo drive visiting friends all over Florida. I had heard and appreciated her stand up and found her podcast to be great company for the drive. She’s like a great witty friend that’s fun to talk to. Not surprised that when I first watched “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and wondered where they got their stand up copy and techniques that it was no other than Jen!
-
GenaTheJollyGreenGiantNo Fun is so fun!I love Jen’s stand up specials on Netflix and wanted to hear more from this smart, funny lady so I was thrilled when I found this podcast! I joined her patreon to hear even more content from Jen and I honestly enjoy every minute. The recent addition of her recap episodes of season 2 of “And Just Like That” has been the cherry on top of the sundae. Excellent podcast! I highly recommend it! 🍒 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Surfrich3Sanity hereJen provides unbridled intelligence, humor, and sanity to her listeners. Every week I enjoy Jen’s take on news, pop culture, and all the thoughts (as well as any ideas) that come into her mind. I hope Jen keeps doing this podcast for another decade or two. It is gratifying to know that Jen is out there sharing her voice with us. :)

PS-readerHow can people sleep??I'm a fan of Jen's standup and other podcast appearances, and I was intrigued by the reviews saying they listen to this to get to sleep. So I joined the Patreon. There's no way I'm getting any shuteye - I'm giggling way too much! But I'm grateful for the sleepers esp if their support keeps Jen creating funny stuff.
-

Matthew E. P.I’m Addicted, But In a Good WayJen is my hero. It is my firm belief that over the past 25 years, she has become one of the most important voices in comedy. She is easily one of my favorite comedians and writers. This podcast, however, is different from her many comedy albums, Netflix specials, and best-selling books, in that it is simply Jen providing us with a window into how she thinks and what makes her tick. Jen is a wonderful extemporaneous speaker and is totally at home when talking about herself, no matter whether she's sharing meaningful details of her personal life, or hilarious stories of her career on stage and in television. Whether she’s venting, giving advice, or doing a deep dive into pop culture or politics, she’s always fun and honest. If you love talking to people who are bright, edgy, and introspective, then you owe it to yourself to listen to a few episodes. There are literally hundreds at this point, so find one that interests you, pour the wine, and relax, knowing that one of the most gifted conversationalists is about to entertain you, and all you have to do is put your feet up and kick back. I guarantee you will laugh, and if you listen closely, you might just learn to be more thoughtful and kinder to yourself and to others.
-
Solange777she’s smarter and funnier than youand i always learn something i had literally never heard of before. where would my mind be without Jen in my brain!! her patreon is great too!
-
PeeWeeCGAll about that Fringe and no trouble! Please complain more! Run that dryer and drink or eat if it feels right! Great podcast! Funny, smart, and nuanced. Something most people can’t seem to wrap their noodles around. It is the highlight of my week and so many times I talk at the podcast as if Jen can hear me because it’s so gosh darn relatable! I always try to tell her the word she’s trying to think of. If you love it leave a 5 star review, pay her ON PATREON, buy her a cup of coffee, or purchase her books and merch. If you half listen and assume please refer to the colloquial saying that covers how that turns out.

NatalieAnnePhillipsLove it!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
-
Clay CarsonMehLots of whining about her career while not being particularly funny about it. Probably won’t continue listening.
-
Jrtaylor079Like chillin with a homesliceI’ve been listening to Jen for years. Not to get all schmaltzy but this is a show that I can count on to make me laugh and not feel so crazy about what’s going on in the world. It’s nice to commiserate, even if only in spirit. It’s like locker room talk for women, if it took place in the candle aisle of Target.
-
AirbudzzAptly namedNegative and boring - tried for years to make it happen and just can’t. So negative. Yuck.
-
Shian001I love this podcastI love Jen’s take on anything and everything. I highly suggest giving her Patreon a try.

IrishMusicianThis Is A ReviewThis podcast cleanses my soul Better than Lena Dunham’s podcast

alimary80My favorite podcastI love Jen! I look forward to her podcast every week. She opens up on personal topics like her relationship to her aging parents, her past life as a stand up comedian, her choice to not have children, etc. She also shares her take on pop culture, current events, politics, and more through an unfiltered Jen X lens. (See what I did there?) Seriously, she is all about Gen X and I really appreciate the references and viewpoint from my generation. I love her Netflix comedy specials and supporting her Patreon.
-
NJRockerLike Listening to a FunI discovered Jen through listening to Stephanie Miller (stephaniemiller.com - highly recommend also). Listening to Jen talk about her life, is like hanging with a good friend whose company you always enjoy. She is a great story teller, can be very funny and often has me laughing out loud. However, she also deals with more serious topics, and she has thoughtful comments on a variety of subjects. Her perspective as a woman who has dealt with massive misogyny in comedy is a rarely heard take, and there is a need for more voices like hers. Like any good podcast, Jen makes you laugh, think, and provides some thoughtful reflection and education. What more could you want1

BCMusicLoverLove ItI love Jen Kirkman and am very happy to have this podcast. She is sensible, intelligent, authentic, and funny. This is a special podcast listening experience for me. I am thinking about signing up for her Patreon, I just wish it was an app because I don’t like sitting at a computer but my appreciation of Jen has me almost there.
-
fake shempWe love JenFunny, insightful, smart, entertaining. Thanks, Jen.
-
Lisa46227I would pay more for thisI love this podcast! It’s like having a conversation with your best friend, but you don’t have to respond. Jen accompanies me while I’m doing various chores and the time just flies by. You definitely need the Patreon version for the full effect! Highly recommend!!
-
summahvilleJen Kirkman’s podcast. The best. It’s worth subscribing for the episodes where she does her mom’s voice. As a Boston resident I love hearing a legitimate accent from a native . Many other reasons to love it as well. Her video walk and talks on Patreon are genius. She can walk in NYC while drinking coffee and recording, all the while presenting a solid thread of logic.

-
sheseemsdoneJen is the best!I have been listening since 2013. 2013!!! Statistically, this show has outlasted more than 50% of all marriages, so you might as well commit to having No Fun.
-
LobbyCrushSmart. Insightful. Fun.Jen is a funny, witty, complicated woman, and her podcast is just the same. Check it out.

Dval52Bedtime ListeningI take Jen to bed with me every night and was sad after I’d listened to all available episodes, but then I found her archives going back years! Yippee! 😍
-
sharibostonLong time fanThis podcast adds joy, comfort and definitely boatloads of not fun-fun to my life. My favorite to listen to while grocery shopping, cooking and on long road trips. Happy to pay the very nominal Patreon fee for as much Jen as possible.
-
Strykah24Awesome podcast & great bonus content on Patreon!!I’ve been a fan of Jen’s for many years and I LOVE this podcast!! I am a Patreon member and the bonus content is always so great!! Being a member of her fan community is wonderful. I wish I could give her more than five stars!💜

Newyorker21**Complaining about crime victimsToday you made fun of women who were being threatened in their homes by strange men. Yet up until now you’ve complained for years that about threatening Bernie bros and successful straight male comedians. You also said people on Next Door who don’t want their doors broken down by junkies are too “white”. Are people of color never victims of property crimes? Do they need a white savior like you to protect them? If a man tried to break down your door, would you laugh about it?
-
KCBambinaYou make me laughReviewing to offset the 1 star. I’ve always enjoyed you on other pods as a guest (AIA & JS) Excited to get into your pod!!
-
babbalooooeveryday life storytelling at it’s finestJen has a knack for sharing her daily life with truthfulness and wit (in the vein of Curb, sort of). She def has a unique comedy storytelling style, and I dig it. I have been a fan and listener for about seven years, and it's still a staple in my weekly lineup. She shares thoughts on everyday life, how she navigates societal quandaries, stories of irritating people out in the wild, notes on her career adventures, medical appointments, coffee orders, and whacky neighbor interactions. We all deal with these things in our lives. And I find hearing her comedic take comforting. It's as if she takes thoughts and reflections from my head and weaves them into a hilarious story. It's SO FUN!
-
MyAlterEgoHamishConstant complainingI have enough people who complain in my life. I don’t need another one when I listen to a podcast.
-
bluebird614Love itLots of podcast flings for me over the years, been a fan of Jen’s since the beginning. If you’ve ever felt peeved by CVS asking you “how’s your day going so far?” at 7 am, this is for you. Jen’s storytelling abilities are a gift no matter what she’s talking about, and the structure is generous so each episode is unique. And yes- she’s hilarious after many years in comedy- but you’ll learn she’s so much more than that. A quick story about a Pilates class can turn into a deep dive about generational misunderstandings. Who knows?! I’m here for the ride. Also, I loved the “And Just Like That” content so much, I’m looking forward to AJLT season 2 solely for Jen’s commentary. #teamsteve #JKL

Tallyn30Edited: YikesAfter an 8 paragraph Patreon rant (swiftly since deleted) telling fans who pay her, she’s not paid enough, that they need to promote her show. (She reminded fans that others shows have fans who don’t need to be asked). I like Jen and her voice is important. I like that she goes after abusers and speaks up on it. It’s why I supported her and paid. But punching down isn’t where it’s at. After droves of people unsubscribed because of this entitlement. She relented with a “okay, I get it” and as a fan, I have faith, that hopefully, she does get it. Your fans aren’t the enemy, they are not mindless zombies, and deserve the smallest ounce of respect.
