    Life changing
This podcast has changed my life and helped me to feel truly seen and validated in the isolation of my PTSD and childhood trauma healing journey. So grateful every day for the tools, knowledge, open mind, open heart, and compassion this podcast has given me!!!! 10 stars!

    Love her but????
Unstable. It’s like she’s replaced drugs with people/relationships. Narcissist —anyone someone talks ab their experiences she ALWAYS shares her (I.e. someone talking ab their sx assault and she jumps in ab her own —just RUDE) WANNABE THERAPIST WITH NO QUALIFICATIONS…..is in love with being wanted and lusted after THE ULTIMATE beneficiary of white privilege

Love this pod and her honesty and vulnerability
I recently discovered this podcast. I have been listening nonstop for the past couple of days and I really appreciate the vulnerability and honesty. I think it’s great that she honors her needs as a woman, outside of her role as a mom. There is so much societal pressure as a mom to just let that role consume you and to put your own needs and desires aside- so I really appreciate that she is visibly being open and honest about her recovery, her poly lifestyle, her body image stuff, etc. I get the impression that she is a really loving and honest mom and I think that her kids will grow up unafraid to be themselves and honor their own needs, and that is so beautiful.

Bright Shining Light Out of the Interwebs
First and foremost, Alexis has one of the most soothing voices in the podcast space. Next, she courageously approaches topics in every corner of life—this is a podcast for anyone who cares about others in this world; healthcare workers, parents, partners, people in recovery. Her energy is so refreshing. Alexis is a bright shining light in this world. I know this podcast is work and thank you for being here.

    I love her
I absolutely love Alexis! She’s so raw and honest and shares her life. It takes a lot to do that!! People say she’s everywhere but I appreciate the honesty from her. I love listening!!

    Entertaining but highly unstable
I honestly love listening to this podcast because I’m obsessed with her voice. She could talk about anything and it’s so soothing lol. BUT I’ve been listening for years and in the last year she has just seemed incredibly unstable with all of these relationships that she claims are soul connections and then moved on the the next in a few months so quickly. Not sure what kind of crisis she is going through but I wish her to find clarity and to get grounded

    Wise and relatable. Vulnerable.
Thank you, Alexis, for sharing your life and struggles. Your authenticity and truth helps us be brave. Your podcast and your words help me through my path of healing so much. You are an open book and share not only the beauty but the ugly parts of your life. Because of this.. I feel I’m not alone, I gain strength and courage because of your brave choice to share. I am reminded the only way to live as the best version of me is to walk straight through the storm. We’ve got this. Thank you, Alexis.

    Simply amazing
This podcast has changed my life. I was on a path of growth and spiritual work before I came across this podcast, but this changed the freaking game. Recovering from Reality provides a community, it makes you feel understood, like you aren’t alone in your thinking, even if it feels like it. Not only that, but Alexis is the sweetest!!! She truly cares about her listeners and their well being. She truly wants everyone to live their best life as their authentic selves and given wonderful support and advice. Alexis is proof that we can all overcome our past, our trauma and our family disfunction and make a difference and live this life better. If I could recommend one thing to someone struggling, it would be this podcast. I am the wife of someone who struggles with mental illness and even though I only struggle with anxiety, it helps me grow as a wife and a support system. THANK YOU ALEXIS

    Deep messages delivered softly
This podcast is so evolved- a direct reflection of the work Alexis has committed to doing on herself. Always introspective- I come away feeling more enlightened and informed yet never heavy. Love her!
  • yvo_44
    Seriously?
I would never, ever take what Alexis says to heart. Her “insights” are narcissistic rambles that conveniently fall in line with her personal desires.
  • Nickah891
    Realistic yet refreshing
Alexis brings a variety of guests onto her platform and with each episode continues to inspire by offering a realistic yet refreshingly optimistic take on all things in society! To be aware and informed is always a must and this podcast provides that for sure! You feel like she is personally speaking to you and giving advice and insight by also showing an empathetic listening ear to so many situations!

Run-don’t walk away from this confused, insecure, wanna be therapist before she screws you up as bad as she is. Who believes this crap she spews anyway?
  • AmandaCeee
    A Gem
I absolutely adore and admire Alexis. One of the most profound things she has said that has always stuck with me was when she challenged us, as women, to not be afraid to take up more space. Be vocal about your needs, wants, and desires. Is her marriage or lifestyle traditional? Absolutely not. However, that is the beauty of it. It challenges us to question the status quo, marriage roles, and everything else society tells us is “correct”…who are we to question someone’s life when they are happy and nobody else is in harms way? To all the people who vehemently criticize her - I ask you, have you done the extensive self reflection and internal work Alexis details in all of her podcasts and social media? This woman has take the time, done the work, and is gracious enough to open her heart and share that with us.

    Beautiful Episode with Sofia
What a thought-provoking, vulnerable, and inspiring episode you had with Sofia Franklyn. I listened because I was curious to hear how Sofia handled the situation but was BLOWN away by how you tied it in to emotional healing. Can’t wait to hear more!

    The best podcast out there!
This podcast is special. With everyone having a podcast, the space has been very much diluted of good content. Recovering from reality is more than just a good podcast, but a meaningful place to grow and learn. Thank you Alexis!

    Day One Listener
This podcast is 12/10. Alexis brings depth and humility to a world that is lacking both. I am a day one listener and I would recommend this to everyone and anyone who is on a spiritual journey within.

my must have podcast every week
Alexis brings to light so many topics that I’ve always felt weird exploring. However, she is so eloquent and intelligent that even when I don’t agree with her, I can’t help but listen and really want to understand her viewpoint. This podcast has helped me with sobriety, family addiction, my own sexuality (coming out in my early 30s after repressing for years), and has helped me become more open sexually when it comes to my partner. This podcast is raw, refreshing, real, but most importantly respectfully presented. I highly recommend this podcast if you want to experience a life change and mindset reset. Alexis is an ANGEL and so wise. You’re missing out if you don’t listen.

    My 3 C's. Clarity, connected & courage
This is my favorite podcast. It's my church. I finish feeling so much clarity, connected to myself and courage to continue being the best person I can be. Thank you for doing what you do. xo

So refreshing. So relatable. So real.
Alexis’ direct and honest approach is beyond refreshing. She is not afraid to tackle sensitive issues and she inspires you to get the most out of life. You don’t need to be a recovering addict to take something away from it. And her voice is so soothing. Highly recommended!

    YESSSSS
Alexis is so wonderful, the last time we saw her she was going through a lot that we didn’t know, but this podcast shows a side of her that is so beautiful and wise and so spiritually connected. Since becoming sober, Alexis has really thrown herself into helping other people and this podcast just helps. I don’t have issues with addiction but I still get a lot out of this, between knowledgable guests and her own wisdom, listening makes me feel like in the grander scheme, we will all be okay. I love Alexis, I hope she feels all the love as well. Thank you for this❤️

    I wish Alexis well
I have listened to every episode since the beginning. I used to love the podcast and its inspiring message. But now, the podcast content has really changed and I can no longer align with or trust the the message shared on this platform. I am sorry, but I can no longer support this show. I wish Alexis and her family well.
  • Aman Kaye
    Pure trash
This woman is delusional. Her husband is delusional. Their children are collateral damage for their narcissistic agendas. I’ve never listened to someone gaslight another quite like she did Kris. This is not a story of highly elevated beings who have found the true way to live life to the fullest. It is a story of a married couple who are bored with each other and obsessed with themselves.
  • Pimento?
    Concerning
Did I really hear this person, who is non-ironically dispensing mental health advice, actually say that she is considering adopting a child with a person who she has been dating for less than 6 months? A partner who admittedly has attachment/commitment issues and has not even told her “I love you” ? I truly hope the recent changes she’s made work out well for her and her family, but she may want to slow down.
  • HeyHeymm2478
    This podcast is everything
This podcast is seriously life changing ! I look forward to every week because I learn so much.
  • Jugy monster
    I’ve learned so much!!!
In a world that constantly tells women to play it small and live in-authentically, Alexis is showing us how to be brave, how to step out of our programming, and how to shine. Any of the recent negative reviews speaks volumes to how much programming we receive. When we see women choose themselves we automatically tend to reject that notion in the name of societal norms. I love this podcast, I’ve learned so much and fully support her living her authenticity!! Really give this podcast a try!! Xo
  • SeattleSnowing
    playing broke
She said in a live “GUYS $10 a month to a creator can change their life” while sitting in a Tesla driving to her home in Southern California. Playing poor is not a trend sis, it doesn’t look good on you to whine that your podcast doesn’t pay enough.
  • Nicole MP
    Look at you girl!
I’ll give it 2 stars for the semi-entertainment factor. Watching you repeat the cycle. A privileged, unaware, narcissistic mother leaving other ppl to watch her daughters. Gaslighting followers into feeling guilty for not agreeing with your “very Modern Family”. Good luck to your kids for ever being accepted amongst their peers with this overly sexualized life you’ve manipulated for them. Repeating generational trauma under the guise of wokeness. Meanwhile, Del Taco over there has another free place in Malibu to stay and your husband the predator is cheating in the guest room, attempting to con your whole audience. This is dry junkie behavior. Congratulations Alexis, you played yourself.

Love the authentic life she’s living
I love this episode and so glad to see she’s back!! So many people are not living how they want. Life is so short and I’m so proud to see someone owning up to there life choices and embracing that new life choice and being so happy! Can’t wait to listen and learn more! 🤍

    Used to be a fan
I loved this podcast when it started. LOVED IT. Alexis seemed so humble and relatable. But man, she has changed. Begging for people to buy her clothes from the inside of her Tesla was it for me. Come on. We all know how much money rehab centers make from milking insurance companies. What a shame.
  • marissssssssssaaaaaa
    Out of touch
If anyone were to really take any advice from this podcast would be so damaging to a person. The fake wokeness is unreal. Horrible horrible and sad.
  • enlavida
    Yikes
The title of this podcast is ironic considering how unbelievably out of touch this girl is with reality. She is all over the place. First her huge news is she’s adopting, then she completely drops it. Then the next big thing is her daughter needs help so she tells a sob story and sells all of her clothes, no mention after the sale. Next the treatment center is in dire need of help, then again nothing after a few weeks. Now all of a sudden she’s a lesbian and that’s found “the one” like three times in as many months. She is so resentful of her mother but I really don’t think her mom knew any better. Alexis, however, claims to be so wise and so in-tune, yet the trauma she is causing in her children’s lives simply because she needs attention, is devastating and far more self serving than that of her own mom that she condescendingly looks down on all the time. Their treatment center must be in some serious financial trouble if she’s going to these lengths (humiliating her poor babies and family) just to sell a podcast.

    Snake oil
I thought the open marriage episode was for attention, until I heard your husband speak. Now I am 1000% sure that EVAN IS THE LEADER OF A CULT. (But also not an actual addict either.)A very charismatic man with such ideals… Jim jones would agree. After lots of listening, you don’t come off as a guide or a friend. You appear more like a rich woman who sells online life reset courses to people who consider you a celebrity and uses this podcast to validate your life. Because what meaning does it have if you’re not talking about yourself… I wish you would make it very clear to listeners that YOU ARE THE 1%. You got clean and stayed clean after your 1st rehab- that was a year long and paid for by a stranger. Therefore you don’t know the struggle of getting into rehab and the huge problem with affording it. You married a man who opened several rehabs- & we all know how much these for profit places bring in… ( I believe those facilities do not take Medicaid) plastic surgeries and expensive fashion… while your listeners are working 40 hours at min wage. Your story just isn’t relatable. You can’t even be honest about the bling ring. There are other sober podcasts that do the work.
  • Carmen1315
    ❤️❤️❤️👏🏻
This episode just spoke to me. Thank you both for taking the time yo speak on this. You both did not have to and 100% owe no one an explanation for why you live YOUR lives the way you do but I’m grateful for this. I need to revisit your older podcasts because I am hooked. I am living for the way you explained everything. So on point and so true. I would love to hear more from the both of you just about living authentically and truthfully to yourself especially with being parents. I loved this episode so much!!

    Where to begin…
Alexis, I truly have missed your podcasts and I am so happy you are back! More importantly, I commend you for taking the time you needed to step away and work on your journey. I have been an avid listener since the very beginning and I find every episode to be very therapeutic for me, in more ways than I have time to write! This last episode, what you said really stood out to me. You mentioned something along the lines of wanting to basically be a role model for your children and showing them that it’s okay to be who they are. I am about to be a first time mom, (and P.S. would literally give my left arm for you to be my doula!!) and I can only hope I have enough strength and courage to be as intentional and set as good of an example for my children as you do with yours. I want to congratulate you and Evan, and Kris on this new chapter of your lives. Sending positivity your way, always. -Gretchen

    Compassion
This podcast is not trying to push anything on anyone. We need to stop judging everyone and let people live THEIR lives. Respect and admiration for Alexis and Evan for being vulnerable and honest. Their lifestyle does not have to be for everyone and they are not trying to make it so. This podcast is about compassion, understanding, growth, community, and support. Negative and hurtful words are unnecessary. I think they are doing a wonderful job.

    Be open to different perspectives
I’m so happy your podcast is back & appreciate the vulnerability and honesty of these episodes. I listen to expand my perspectives and I explore my own ‘programmed’ thoughts. I will say sometimes I find myself getting upset at a topic then wonder why that is… keep doing you & sharing your authentic self!! xo

    Open minds people
Love this podcast and the new topics! Let’s all have an open mind and really listen to them. Such a great conversation I am in awe they are having it so openly. Love it!
