MeNotYou2251Stop trying so hardGreat story, well produced. Host tries too hard to insert humor or has too many corny interjections to story. His attempts to be dramatic fall flat.
-
ppleejktLate joiner, glad to have found itSeason 1 episode 6 made me want to sit in a vat of Purell from the utter grossness of the lawyer. Great investigative reporting.
-
EskerChanceThis is among the best. Like Bear Brook in terms of appeal and quality.Well told. Gripping. Not offensive. Not repetitive. Unbelievable story.
-
FanodthepodSea of lies fanGreat story, well told and well researched!
-
SGBeaverRiveting!Wow! This story is nearly incredible with all of the twists and turns, all the victims, all the lies. Con upon brazen con. What’s truly remarkable about this podcast however is the storytelling. So very well done! A++ work!
-
ZeffydudduduI love it!This is amazing. The way the story was told is just incredible!!!!!!!!!!

-
WonderWoman303OutstandingI had a hard time listening to the Band episodes. But they are all just outstanding. Touching, informative.
-
No ads. Real moneySeason 23 the pitThis guy has zero accountability and how convenient he remembers nothing. Because he hit his head. He takes no responsibility, even for things he was charged with. So irritating hearing his voice
-
Nilu r.The perfect story tellingI lost a whole night of sleep because I could not turn it off.
-
CcLahrstoImpeccable. The most well done true crime podcast I’ve listened to. Respectful to victims, thorough, intelligently lighthearted when warranted and SO well produced. Great audio. Great tonality. The story was fascinating and the telling of it was flawless. Binged the entire thing!
-
Binski_1Could not stop listening!Totally binged this! The narrator and writing are outstanding. I just found this podcast and I am so happy there are so many seasons!

MaineAh207Sam Mullins - Podcaster ExtraordinaireThis host (with 32 seasons alone for Sea of Lies thus far - there are many hosts in this series alone) is far and away the most compelling writer/author/host of any podcast out there. Ira Glass, PJVogt, Glynn Washington - move over. Mr. Mullin is destine for greatness, rivaling the success of the 3 of you combined!
-
banjosshadowSea of Lies reviewGreat storytelling! Sam Mullins is one of my favorites. Very well done.
-
Ryan DeneMust ListenWhat a story. It dives into the depths one man will go to keep his charade continuing and the peope he must crush along the way. They do an amazing job of keeping you engaged and on the hook for the next episode.
-
AveechIt’s a good oneThis is a good one! And I love Sam Mullins’ voice and storytelling. I’ve listened to his other 2 podcasts and I was pleasantly surprised when I heard his voice on this one!
-
katharinkatOne of the best (worst) True Crime StoriesThis story has it all: Boats, murder, ponzi schemes, kidnapping, grooming, intrigue. I was hooked right away. Beautiful story telling about deception, murder and greed.
-
theoriginalflymightySo GoodFirst episode captured me instantly. Had to subscribe to binge it within days. Fantastic storytelling.
-
AZshunshineEvery Ad Is For A Terrorist OrganizationI really enjoy listening to the podcast which is really interesting and well produced. What I cannot get past is that every advertisement is for a “pro-life” terrorist organization that has been tied to the horrific deaths of countless women in health crises with various normal pregnancy complications. Stop taking blood money from terrorists.

shelbyreviewinstuffInteresting but bad interviewingBecause of their relationship, the narrator is far too kind to Sarah. She really acts like a complete victim and takes so little accountability for what she put others through. She has three “slaves” and knew it was a pyramid scheme she was at the top of. She seemed to not care until she noticed initials on her body. It took damage to her body to care, not an ounce of care for the damage she caused to other people she got into this cult.

It is DebbieOne of the BestI’ve listened to podcasts every single day for about4 years now - on my drive to work, my walks, cleaning house, etc. This is the 2nd time a podcast has prompted me, a cheapskate, to subscribe. I absolutely could not wait to hear the next episode. The narrator drops little mysterious hints of what’s to come. And then when he gets there, it is even more interesting than expected. I just love everything about this podcast. Well done.

nordsegLove the sea of liesReally enjoyed this, binge worthy.
-
Engman19HonestlyThere are way too many episodes about gay people and tyranny’s. I found out that they actually have a school for tyranny’s and gay teens. Is everyone gay in canada?
-
gigi896Too many episodesGood reporting, but too stretched out in my opinion
-
PpammycakessSeason 23 - The Pit - no closureI loved this reporting and story telling until the last say, 5 episodes. Recordings were replayed way too much. And honestly not to add a final episode after his conviction and sentence was disappointing.
-
p_ jonesWell Done! This is how podcasts should be: Straight ahead, great research, get to the point with a single narrator. Best podcast I have listened to in a long time
-
Rosey Nosey POnly 4 minutes in and love what I’m hearing. As humans we know what we like and if you’re really in tune you don’t have to let time pass by to question whether or not you’re going to like it. In conclusion, within the first few spoken words from the narrator I was excited knowing I found yet another great podcast. I won’t waist more of your time explaining. If you know, you know;)
-
AlexandraUGABORINGYour next episode can be how I died of boredom listening.
-

-
K TwistExceptionally SatisfyingI enjoyed this from start to finish. I had a project that I ditched to listen to it in one day. Worth it! A gripping story, well told. Thank you.
-
daland7So Clear they don’t want to find the truth. After listening to this amazing podcast it is so very clear- they simply do not want to bring closure. After ALL OF THESE YEARS- they have nothing . And as usual these officials and enforcement agencies are obviously threatened by new ideas, new eyes and better crime Solving. And so the families suffer.

Brainerd6CBC is the best!I have been listening to podcasts for many years, starting with “What You Missed In History” and have only written a handful of reviews over the years, but I have to say that the CBC podcasts in general and Sea of Lies in particular, are some of the best I have ever heard. The narration, editing, and storytelling is amazing. I cannot wait to hear more. CBC should have as many subscribers as the top American Podcasts!
-
VislavieExcellent!Well done, NOT repetitive, great interviews. Storytelling at its best. Highly recommend!
-
Boi WillyTo the person who said check your factsIn the podcast, he clearly says that it is an urban legend which the father believed about the dead bodies
-
SchhhiejsnTop tierI did a google image search of Cliff Richard too, it’s great storytelling.
-
immigrant wimanExcellent storytellingNot drawn out, not exploitative, just really well done.
-
laurafmdSea of Lies was so well done!Sea of lies was so well done. The interviews are excellent, and the storytelling is top notch spanning two continents. Thank you so much for this adventure.

hdokayRewound to relisten multiple timesThis is an amazing podcast! Often I will listen to good stories in the background. This, I cleared my schedule for. I took walks by myself, I listened instead of watching tv. Any bit I was distracted by, I rewound again so I wouldn’t miss a detail. I love it,

A Brit in DCCheck your factsIn the UK, if you find a body and no one comes forward to claim it, the local authority is responsible for arranging the burial or cremation, meaning they will cover the costs of disposing of the body; you are not liable for the burial costs as a finder of the body. This is often referred to as a "public health funeral" where the council will make reasonable attempts to locate relatives before proceeding with the arrangements.

rmaixkepaxjnzWell madeI’m on the edge of my seat with the latest season!

-
claire mccormickSeason 29Don’t waste your time. Terrible season. If they never irresponsibly published the article five people would be alive
-
possehBest of the bestIt will be very hard to find a better more gripping raw truth of a podcast!!!
-
courtmartialThe BEST investigative reportsUnbelievable truths uncovered. Every single season is amazing!! Now CBC pods are my go to
-
KeepYourMindOpenThis is worth your time!I listen to audiobooks & podcasts every day at work. I do a lot of paperwork so I have to find something that piques my interest & doesn’t make me fall asleep! The 1st season I listened to was Hunting Warhead. It was done very well. I’m also very pleased with the way they respected the victims. 🙏 10 out of 10 recommend 😊
-
Lila GGI’ve listened to almost every season….and Uncover is amongst the best investigative journalism podcasts available. Brilliantly done, even with each season being so different. I would say that Season 26 Outlaw Ocean better win an award. It’s such an achievement. My only improvement I would request is that the CBC update the cover art. It’s really rudimentary for such a sophisticated podcast. Otherwise, everything they do is perfection.
-
NoooooochSeason 23 review onlySeason was well done, well researched. But the audio was mixed so low that I had to have it at full blast to hear it, unless I was in a totally quiet environment.
-
DM051912Season 26 Outlaw OceanReporter speaks so softly that it’s very difficult to hear to podcast. Even turning the volume up very loud doesn’t help. It’s a fascinating podcast but I strained to hear every episode.
