Listening to these dorks fumble the concept of Ordo Amoris, a concept laid out first by Augustine and then by Thomas Aquinas, who is a pillar of current Catholic teaching, was super cringe. Calling it a straw-man doesn’t even fit because you were just blatantly ignorant. Well done, bros.

I’ve read reviews saying this podcast is unbiased….maybe people need to look up what that words means. This is a one side view of the news. Plenty of ‘pot calling the kettle black’ in every podcast. It’s a place for these hosts to freak out, as they are no longer in control at the White House. Keep freaking out….it keeps me centered as to all the issues the left leaning news brings that are blown way out of proportion.

I was on the fence about this podcast but now I’ve decided. Regarding the January 9 episode, “can I get away with saying that”? Nope, no you can’t, not with me. Update May 2025 I started listening again despite thinking it was just “meh” much of the time. But today’s remark about Ashley Babbitt lost me. I understand the point you were trying to make, but it failed badly.

This is my go-to podcast to stay informed in these difficult times. It’s informative while still being funny. This is the independent and reliable news media worth listening to and supporting.

I hear Dems, Dem consultants and Podcasts rattle on endlessly as to the shortcomings of the Dem brand and why they got smoke checked in 2016, almost lost 2020 and prison rape in 2024, or why their base left them for a conman. They have all sorts of theorems to describe their catastrophe. There is but one theorem that never crosses their mind or comes out of their mouth: Maybe there are just more MAGAs than Dems. 2 of the last 3 elections would seem to point to this possibility. The fact that our World, via nature, produces more Deplorables than halfway decent people should surprise nobody that's spent more than 15-minutes out in that World, yet my theorem remains unspoken. You'll find a Dem using the "N" word before you ever find one spouting my theorem. This seems a reasonable theorem in need of further analysis. I think MAGA will do much better in the mid-terms than the Dems think possible; besides Trump will never allow the election to go forward if polls show the MAGAs losing the House. All is lost. Get out while you can.

I love this show and I’m so glad to have you guys to help keep me informed and not wallowing in misery. However, can you please please work on introducing the guests better? Just saying their name is not helpful to me and I can’t Google someone while listening driving into work. If you could give a short introduction and background into guest credentials it would greatly help with providing context while I’m listening in the car.

It was excellent. She understands our present moment, with this new President and his toadies, through a perspective that can give us hope, and courage.

I’m a devoted fan of Pod Save America, but I must give enthusiastic praise to this particular episode. At a time when few things in politics bring anything close to hope—this stands out as exceptional! Thanks so much to all of you and three sheers for Sarah!

Sarah McBride is an up and coming politician for good reason. However, her views on the anti-trans movement being misogynistic is misguided. Has Ms. McBride talked to non-trans women about how they feel about this movement pushing trans people in to womens’ spaces? Not once did the conversation recognize the discomfort with this trend. Until that gets recognized and respected, the progress will stall.

Let’s be for real! The catalyst for progress in the U.S has never been started from the top down by elected officials. It starts with us…the voters. So, can we have more insight about what we can do?

At the end of every show, I would like to hear action items not just places I can sign up for email not just other sub stack so I can read. I have plenty of that but real world action items. That’s what we all need now.

The world is a dark and scary place right now and even though sometimes I feel like hearing what’s happening just makes it feel worse it’s important none the less. We should feel afraid of what is going on, we should feel outraged by the blatant attack on civil liberties, freedoms and the very constitution politicians swore to uphold. Knowing about what the right is trying to do and what they are lying about it what will give us the fire to stand up for American values! I appreciate that these guys all have real life political experience and are just some click baiting Gen Z tiktoker trying to get rich quick off of riling people up. There is humor as well as updates on the stark reality we’re living in right now. Interesting interviews with a variety of experts and people with first hand knowledge of what happening. Yes it’s left leaning but they have strong words for democrats too, unlike the right who just seems to be convinced hero worshiping the Don is the only way to survive right now. This is now my favorite podcast and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in getting a view point that is less biased that most political podcasts and also has people who know what they are talking about.

Hey guys, this is Gavin. I get annoyed when I hear the words school shootings. Yet again we had another one today. These red states man are hurting themselves with these gun laws. They are the ones that like to play politics. Desantis has to do better on this. I do not see him being the future face of the GOP or being the President after Trump leaves. He would not do well with national issues. He’s not even a good Governor. I think he is the worst Governor in the country. Time for us to do more on guns! These ridiculous gun laws are going to back fire on the GOP at some point.

I’ve been an avid listener since 2017, really enjoy the work you all do on the pod. Recently, I feel like the pod has become a rage against the Trump machine. It’s honestly just hard to digest anymore. I know things aren’t great right now but I really liked the approach you all took in 2017/2018 on focusing on local elections, house members and dem organizing. Also, I can’t stand the cover images - I hate having photos of Trump on my screen. I would love if you could have more sections that focuses on what we can do / how we can move forward instead of just being an hour long rage rant. I’ve unsubscribed - which I never thought I would do, but I just need to focus on more constructive outlets on fighting back. We could all use your guidance and focus on things we can actually do.

I appreciate this pod for the consolidated news recaps and general POVs, but the takes are so deeply upper-middle class cis white that sometimes the meat of the issue is lost. I hope you consider bringing in more diverse voices to round out the conversation. Further, it’s rough to hear ads for Amazon and Walmart propping up a progressive leaning podcast.

Could not be more shocked and disappointed that Pod Save is now sponsored by Walmart?! What a joke! They are one of the most evil corporations and abusive employers of working class people in the country. If this is a voice of the “resistance” we are truly cooked.
