CTownieSo Much WrongIt’s crazy how much these guys got wrong in just a few minutes in the LSH episode: don’t know when the Silver Age began, think Star Trek started in the 1970s, called Pee-Wee’s Playhouse “Pee-Wee’s Clubhouse,” etc. Distracting when they just lack general knowledge.

VayStillTrippinSneaky comeback?Hate how Kris’s had to come back but since we’re here……..

RobJay_Great podcast.Love the pod. I found you guys when I was looking for a podcast that covered Hickman’s legendary Fantastic Four run and i’ve been hooked ever since. This pod makes work go by much faster and the intro makes me wanna Crip walk. Salute.

racer2x1Fun fun funWhen I listen to the character corner it’s the type of conversation I wish I could have with a group of friends and this is the next best thing like any podcast I listen to on the regular.

Adolfo JrWarning Addictive show!!I found your show and it’s really addictive, really forgot I had other podcasts to listen. I love D’palms sighs because I’m about to hear the best rant ever, don’t @me lol. Y’all really remind me why I love these characters so much. Could y’all do vertigo characters, also I need to know why y’all don’t like Old man Logan. But I’m lucky to listen to y’all at work because lately it’s the show that calms me down during the CCOVID days here at work. Keep it up y’all!!!

King PhocksHistoryI’ve been listening to this podcast for about a year now and have learned so much from it(and spent a lot of money because of it) I love learning about the history of certain characters/groups and looking out for more writer/artist names on books. I do have a request. Can you please help me with a Jaime Reyes reading order? He’s been around since 2006 and hasn’t had much success since his first series, but he’s been in so many books!! I tried doing the research myself, but I don’t know how important some of his appearances are versus others.

jackblenderPure passionAs a 50 something year old , old school comic book aficionados, I have enjoyed living the Covid with you. As a person that has the luxury of doing what I’m passionate about everyday I recognize that same enthusiasm in the 2 of you. Refreshing my knowledge of Claremont, an era I experienced first hand, or introducing someone that has been out of the scene to Miles Morales, you have helped me escape to a forgot and much missed time. Keep on being you because you guys rock Be safe Be you

peptobsmolPerfect Comic Book PodcastBefore listening to Character Corner, I never bought a comic in my life, but always wanted to get into them. A year later and comics are one of the top things taking my money every month. Kriss and Dpalm give so much info that's easy to listen to and take in about characters they love. Couldnt recommend enough
-
ArconnaAn Excellent Comics ShowDpalm and Kriss are fantastic hosts, not just because they know what they're talking about when it comes to comic book characters, but also because they're just a lot of fun to listen to. This is the kind of show you stumble upon and then binge from start to finish because you learn so much. Plus, it's a lot of fun! Comics fans will adore this show. People who just want to know who Captain America is will also get a whole lot out of it. Subscribe!

AbeFroman21In depth comic book reviewsKriss and DPalm are the best duo for comic book reviews. The duo not only provide the history behind each character, they also provide the writers and artists’ history as well. If the artist can’t draw feet, Kriss and DPalm will tell you. Hit Subscribe and let’s ride.

Magic JMSA dream come trueI've started from the beginning and have now listened to all of 2015. At this point I know enough to give a 5-star review. I've been buying and reading comic books since the 1970s. This is my absolute favorite format of any podcast; the idea of a deep-dive comics character by true comics enthusiasts, spanning the full arc of the character in all its incarnations, is a dream come true. I love the idea and so far the episodes have lived up to the idea. Each time I learn something, and each time I want to go out and read comics. In fact, I try not to listen to two episodes in a day because I'm trying savor each one. Is it perfect? At least back in 2015, no. I desperately hope they improve their audio quality, which is my biggest gripe. And at least so far it seems like the fellas can't decide if this is for hardcore comics fans or newcomers, because they're inconsistent with how much they explain or expect you to know. But I'll live with these complaints, because it's just a fantastic podcast. I'm thrilled that I have so many episodes left to explore!
-
bigdick ickWell-deservedI wanna thank you guys for a few things, first and foremost, reigniting a long lost love for DC Comics and characters. I’ve been on the Marvel side for so long that I forgot about DC’s solid history and fantastic arcs and storytelling. Secondly, as a former Marine, I cannot stress to you how much it means to me that you guys actually said John Stewart was a former Marine. It’s a small distinction but an important one. Lastly, your three part episode on Doctor Doom. Homie is crazy and I’m much more afraid of him than I used to be. Keep up the good work
-
noname50005Amazing Stuff!Literally have been bingeing all of these episodes in the last couple of weeks. I thought I was a hardcore comic nerd, then the crowd in the arena broke out the Den-den daiko’s, started drumming, and I realized this is going to be a long night. Bravo Gentlemen. Bravo.
-
HollypoppppThanks for making work less boringHello! I got into comics recently because I got curious about what comic they animated first. Pretty random, I know. Then I slipped into collecting comics. Random ones. I ended up with things I didn’t know existed. My favorite that I’ve found is Amethyst of Gem World. I found it so interesting. I wanted to know more characters stories. I didn’t have enough to know full stories so I was looking for a comic character podcast. Y’all were exactly what I was looking for. I binge listed while doing books at work and it’s great. Thank you so much for putting your time into this, because it shows.

JaygravyPay These MenI've been listening to the Character Corner for years. It's insight, fun, entertaining. It's not only helped me get back into comics but it's also given me a deeper appreciation for some of the characters I've grown up loving, hating or have previously ignored. If you aren't subscribed to this podcast, you should change that immediately. And if anyone from Marvel or DC is reading this, you really need to pay these men. A lot of your sales in the last few years have been because of them.
-
JasonHarrisPerfect PodcastHeyoo, I'm a fairly new listener I guess. I only started when you released your Iron Man episodes but I have to say, I've nearly listened to all your episodes and this is by far one of the best podcasts I listen to! I deliver pizza part time and always wanted to find a podcast for comics that would help me fill all that time I can't read them and you two do it perfectly! You have poisoned me with Hickman, Doom, and Magneto enough that I can't put any books with them down. Thank you for your consistency in both quailty and quantity and I can't wait for you two to delve in the Hickman X-Men run. All hope lies in Doom.
-
PaintimentiFun, Easygoing, and Informative!I started listening to these two on Spotify earlier this year in March and I have not regretted a single episode! I started off with the Batgirl and Robin episodes they've done and have learned so much cool trivia from the Wolverine Enemies and Doctor Doom episodes. They have awesome and thought-provoking opinions on the comic runs and authors. Thanks for being awesome guys and I hope to hear many more!
-
DarthAndy86Love these guys' perspectives, opinions, and LOVE of comics!I will be forever grateful to Kriss and Dpalm for Character Corner. This podcast help get me into reading comics. Not only are these guys knowledgeable about comics, their passion is unparalleled. After listening to episode 75, I had to write a review. As a straight, white male they have given me a perspective on minority character that I could never understand on my own. I have always been a fan of the X-Men but I never understood just how important they are in giving everyone a voice.

DR5S3The Captain Mar-vell and Captain Marvel character corner 👏👏👏This is long so sorry. Hey guys, love the deep dive into the charter history of Captain Marvel before the movie. I had no idea how fascinating the story was. It really made the movie so much better wondering what story they were going to tell. I also have to complain that you cost me some money buying some comics on Carol and Monica. Shout out to the movie reviews and The Palms rewatching of the movies. The content means a lot because I work late night shifts and it really keeps me up doing my job and getting me home. Appreciate it.
-
Joe LJPerfectI just love this show. The breakdown of the characters is expert level. The enthusiasm is contagious. The hosts are funny and super knowledgeable. Keep up the greatness!
-
Tumbleweed ShepardYou guys are awesome. Thanks for bringing comics to the comics fans in a way knowledgeable and relatable way. My only criticism is someone buy Dpalm a better microphone! Keep it up guys.
-
Mr. Charlie BluegrassGreat Podcast! This podcast is awesome! Kriss and DPalm are super funny and really thorough. I also appreciate the progressive lens they use to talk about comics history, and it’s refreshing to hear two black men nerd out about comics - this is not a voice I’ve run into much, and I guess they just made their own space. Comics fandom is enriched by them! I'm mostly a 90s X-Men kid, and I really just haven't kept up with anything very well. I've really enjoyed listening to the X-Men episodes to catch up on all the crazy things that have happened since I last read. These eps were so great that I started listening to the others, and they manage to make everything interesting!

Npz1978This show is like a trip to your favorite comic shopThis show just makes me happy. Every time I listen I’m reminded of why I love comics. This show also is why I come back to Marvel Unlimited again and again. You guys should get royalties for the number of times you get listeners to dive back into comics. Every time I listen I’m brought back to my favorite comic shop when I was growing up. The breakdown of characters is amazing and the commentary is funny and dead-on. The MTR network is simply one of the podcast networks out there. I’m always grateful for the content. Excelsior!
-
jand@New to your podI’m new to the pod but familiar with your twitter presence. I appreciate what you guys do. The last 3 years I’ve come to love comics again after a lot of years not reading them. What you guys are doing is really important. I hope you get more exposure.
-
RxBxFx0220Fun and informativeI listen to a TON of podcasts, and these guys are up there among the best. They do a great job and going through the characters’ history and breaking down what makes them tick, and their passion for comics shines through. My ONLY qualm (and it’s a slight one) is that some episodes are really long, but hey some characters have more complex history so nothing you can do about it. Overall great show, I love it!
-
Johnathon ErvinI appreciate the educationYou and DPalm are really doing the comic book industry a great service. I’m listening to your takes on Batgirl and I’m considering purchasing Year One based on your recommendation. You guys are shining light on characters that may not have gotten much exposure otherwise. Also, your Marvel 10 year history was fire! I’ve listened to it twice and I’m as excited as you are about Infinity War and the conclusion of this phase. Keep doing what y’all are doing! Johnathon

tra yorUntil lex all 5 stars podcastsSome of us are just comic book fans and like the escape from reality of hear about politics and trump everywhere. Normally social impacts are pointed out in great fashion, but this just seemed like another great from of entertainment tainted by the creators need to bash the listeners over the head with their beliefs.

KieranMitchWant to read great comics but don't know where to start? Start hereThis podcast is a great! Comic book characters may be more popular than ever but most of them have been around for 50+ years, and I've been wanting forever a way to know what are the best runs on any character and what's the core of the character. And that's exactly what you get with Character Corner, guided by two great personalities Kris and Dpalm. They not only are true long-time fans of the characters but they offer insightful critiques and are hilarious to boot. If you want to read some great comics and don't know where to start, this is the podcast for you.
-
VayBeenTrippinComic book GodlinessFirst and foremost, let's find the a$$hole who gave a one star rating. Get him all the way out of the paint. Character corner is probably my favorite show from the MTR network. I will listen to them over and over just to make sure I haven't missed a thing (listened to each doom episode at least 4 times). They are very informative and detailed. This podcast has made me care about characters I would've never thought were cool. Right now I'm in the midst of the green lantern series and as a Marvel guy, I must say that I've come around on the lantern core! If you like anything remotely related to comics then you should be listening to this one right here!

homeundergroundCame for Tim Drake, stayed for great conversations.I've heard other podcasts but none like this! Great conversations that not only cover the history of the character but really dive into the character development which is the kinda thing I live for in comics. First heard the Tim Drake podcast and I haven't been this excited about comics in a LONG time! It's like I now have two more comic book friends (making a grand total of 3), thank you guys!
-
Randysf1971Bringing back my passion for comicsKriss and DPalm have renewed my passion for READING comics as opposed to just wantching other mediums. If I can make a suggestion, I would love to hear what they think after they've had a chance to see the materials interestped on the large and small screens. Keep up the good work.

Yosemite CamBest Comic Book PodcastBeen trying to get into comic books more lately and this podcast gives me a starting point and highlights the important issues I need to read. DC needs to listen to y'all and get an unlimited service. Thank you guys for such a top notch podcast!
-
gr8ness00I love these podcastsI follow both Kris's and DPalm on Twitter and is how I came to know about character corner. The first one I listened to was on Black Panther, and I was hooked. It's helped reignite my interest in reading comics. I really enjoy how enthusiastic they both are about the characters they're reviewing and the books in general. I figure if they're hype about, I may want to give it a read. I look forward to more episodes and learning more about the comic book world. (P.S. I've now become a huge fan of John Hickman and am currently scouring marvel unlimited for more from him. Secret Wars was fantastic and the New Avengers run leading up to secret wars was addicting as well. Also, I agree, DC suffers mightily from not having its own version of unlimited.)

rvptvrsA True Character Corner Comic Book Podcast!Hey guys, I've been slacking and haven't been able to leave a review lately and wanted to get this out. I came across your podcast 3 years ago and have been glued to the network since. All the content you all provide is great. My go to podcasts are Character Corner/Super Tuesday Recap without a doubt. I started reading comics again religiously around the same time(after taking a 12 year break). The knowledge and passion behind the shows gets me hyped. It's really cool to see a podcast that works hard and gets great opportunities to grow. Keep up the good work and thank you for the great content! P.S. Why hasn't Geoff Johns stepped in and fixed Flash's mech suit yet? Thanks, Ryan D

AmaniH44Always an amazing listen!Kriss and Dpalm are the Batman and Superman of the comic book world, meting out justice and hope for characters that deserve the spotlight and giving a richer appreciation of the craft. Or maybe better said Captain Marvel and Black Adam, because villains get their due just as well as heroes. It doesn't matter if you've never picked up a comic, or are a lifelong reader, you'll instantly be drawn into the energy and insight these two bring. They even go out of their way to keep you up to date on relevant characters so you're not lost when the newest movie or TV show starts up. This is the perfect podcast to listen to for all occasions, especially if you're a fan of Greg Land's art. Bravo gentleman!
-
N8BthedragonChanged my mind on MarvelYou guys are amazing, and I'm loving this podcast. I've been a die hard DC fanboy who's refused to even touch a Marvel book, and you guy's convinced me to give it a try... I fell in love. I'm currently reading Power Man and Iron Fist (classic and the new run) and loving every panel, thanks for changing my mind.

Gbenton14Dare Devil character corner reviewHello Guys. I was listening to your review of Dare Devil season 2 review and thought I send you a review. I've been listening for a few months now and love the podcast. You have given me insight into characters I once thought were minor i.e. Doctor Doom and made them compiling. Dooms a beast. You podcast is so good I'd like to start reading the comics but not sure where to start. I know DC is not your favorite but my favorite characters are from that universe. I'm think about Gotham Academy. Any recommendations for a first time comic book reader. Keep up the excellent work and looking forward to more quality podcast. I also need to give you credit for turning me on to other black podcast like The Black Guy who Tips. Love that you guys support one another. Greg B.
-
PaytonJrGreat PodcastsGreat show. These in depth discussions of comic characters are always good. I really enjoyed the Dr. Doom discussion. I honestly never took him or the Fantastic Four seriously. I've now gone back and read a lot of the Doom stories and the Hickman stories. Doom is a monster. I used to think it would be cool if he was in the MCU just so they would have a new villian to deal with. Now I don't want him in the MCU. The Avengers don't want those problems. I'm waiting on my Thor discussion. He's my favorite character. The Simonson run is too long, but the Jason Aaron God Butcher/God Bomb story rolling into Lady Thor would be cool. Keep these shows coming!
-
sabbott57HOOKEDBetween the character corners having me emailing/ tweeting Kriss like Tyrone Biggums this podcast is first in my queue of what to listen to with Bomoni Jones's work. The corners provide indepth into characters and really provide some history on characters that are 50 years old is amazing. With this and the comic book clubs you guys have single handely bankrupt me when it comes to comic book buying. Keep up the amazing work excitied for more podcast to come.
-
AphroditeBrownMust Listen FeedGreat series. I've been listening the the MTR network for some time now. This feed is becoming one of my favorites. Kriss & DPalm are fans and it shows. Their enthusiasm shines through and infects the listener with their passions. This is a great resource for back story in characters you will be seeing on the big and small screens without being obnoxious or condescending. Also for the record: whenever DC Comics comes out with an unlimited streaming service I need y'all to pay these men. They are going to be a HUGE reason why your profit margins are swollen.
-
The Grand ShuckettQuick and In Depth podcastThis is a great podcast. It's basically an audio wiki on some of your favorite and not as well known comic book characters. Check it out to learn more about characters you thought you knew and learn about new characters! - Anthony from The Grand Shuckett Podcast
-
L. BrothersKriss & D. Palm RockYo, this is Leonard from L. Brothers Media. Just chiming in to give my boys Kriss, and D. Palm some love for the great work they do on this and many other podcasts. If you’re not listening to the content produced by MTR, do yourself a favor and tune in. These brothas are cool and know their stuff.

Peoples CriticA Great Way to LearnI've learned a lot listening to Character Corner. It pepared me for Marvel's Jessica Jones series and taught me so much about Falcom, Tim Drake, and other characters. I enjoy hearing the breakdown of characters. It gives context to the cinematic world DC and Marvel are creating.
-
lashondaGreat character insightsIf you like getting an in depth analysis of some of the emerging small and big screen comic characters you like, love, and love to loathe, this is the show for you. It has been some years since I have really read and followed comic storylines but the shows have been my favorite on television. I appreciate the work Kriss and D-Palm put into sharing these backgrounds as it makes for a very enjoyable experience watching the new franchises. They've also inspired me to purchase some comics for myself and I don't regret it. Keep up the great work gentlemen!
-
