Long time listener here and truly enjoy the podcast! But please, please, please kill the background music, beat and let’s just hear the people talk. The background sounds/music is super distracting, I also find myself struggling to hear what people are saying. Thank you!

I can’t stand the distracting music. Great stories ruined by background music. Update: The music is way too loud and distracting. Still. Ridiculous. I guess you think the stories can’t stand on their own.

Okay podcast/story, but be sure to fast forward through the ads. Early in the episode "Follow the Fingerprints", they ran an ad from another true crime podcast which gave away the ending of the story. Yes, he WAS falsely convicted, and yes, he DID get out of prison. The sponsoring podcaster DID indicate that ABC did a great job covering the story. However, they didn't do a good job of reviewing the ad copy. Well, it saved me about an hour of my life, because what's the point of listening to the rest of the podcast?

One of the best true crime/first hand account of true stories. I have been watching this show weekly for years!!!

Podcast is ok, but please identify who is speaking. It’s an audio medium. You can’t just take the tv broadcast and make it a pod.

Correction: Chris Tapp did not die from just a head injury in Vegas. He died from blunt force trauma and his death has been ruled a homicide. WHO fact checks you all?!?!

Every single person narrating sounds like it’s their first time doing so. Also why do you guys love to repeat the same stuff over and over. The show is 120 min but you tell every single bit of the story on the “previews” or “coming up next” please stop.

Love your podcasts but your propaganda in the ads are ridiculous.

Good stories horrible editing. All the spoilers kill the narrative tension. All the interviews cause the pacing drag.

They’re just stitching audio clips together, audio clips that are meant to be accompanied by video. So it all sounds like you have the tv on while you are doing some in another room. It’s not very engaging compared to a real podcast which is recorded specifically to appeal to an audio only user

Me and my mom watch the TV show but I just found this podcast and it’s amazing! I’m sure my family thinks I’m crazy bc I keep talking abt serial killers and stuff 😂 but I have no intention of becoming a serial killer tho. But anyway , this is such a great podcast ! Will definitely be listening again !

The episode “Into the Dark,” wow! Another well-known network podcast covered this case and I thought they did a good job, but 20/20 has blown them away. The level of detail and emotional resonance of this production was superb. I will keep listening.

I just listened to episode ‘Since The Day I Was Born’ and I found it one of the best I’ve heard. The story was compelling but how the story was crafted and told was so good. The narrative was heartbreaking, and left me thinking about the people involved in the story.

It’s great podcast it’s excellent but man I just cannot hear the adds. How can you guys pay the bills if I can’t hear what they’re selling?

I love true crime podcasts. I assumed I would love this- after all it’s 20/20, but the pace and presentation is incredibly boring! I tried 3 episodes snd could not make it all the way through any of them because they were so slow and boring. Not for me.

Show has gotten a lot better since 2022. Remember Whoopi Goldberg narrated an episode?? Wow that was bad. Could only go up from there and the true crime vault is top notch.

Look, I enjoy the podcast. What I hate is the excruciating volume when the adds play! How many people need to ask and complain before you actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT???? You’re going to lose listeners…*more listeners*…if you don’t control the sounds! You CAN do it, so DO IT already!!!!

There is never a consistent volume! I couldn’t even listen to the April 18th episode because with the volume all the way up it was still too low! Then the commercials come in and blow my eardrums out! C’mon, you’re ABC, you know how to do this!

About to lose a listener along with my hearing with the sudden volume switch when an ad plays. Sort it out, people.

Commercials are way to loud. Had to stop listening to the episode because I was too afraid of damaging my hearing. Reported to Apple Podcast as well. Very concerning.

The show is good but the LOUD, Abrupt commercials are disconcerting.

This is one of my favorite crime podcast. I love both the hosts and I love the fact that they add the families voices !!

And now you continue to interview murderers and their stupid families and allow them to lie on your ignorant show without dispelling their untruths. I stopped watching or listening to your show because whomever is mixing the music over conversations isn’t doing a very good job. Nobody wants to hear loud background music during dialogue.

Why does he speak with that ridiculous, affected way? He sounds like he’s in an SNL skit.

The background music is so loud! It is supposed to be in the back but makes it heard to hear the person speaking.

As a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I can assure you that we are in no way asked to “not wear makeup, drink caffeine, or go out.” It would be awesome if you got facts from people other than just those who have left the church.

What the heck is wrong with you people, asking the grieving father of his murdered daughter what it feels like to think about her possibly being alive somewhere and crying?? Obviously you’re trying to get him to become emotional so you can get better ratings, and the thing is, you don’t need to do that. You provide what I consider to be the best newscast with David Muir, then you lower your standards to that. Yes, shame on you.

The background music is to loud and some of it is annoying.

I always feel like I’m getting the Readers Digest of stories when listening. As if they know their audience can’t be bothered to pay attention to something longer than a goldfish’s memory. The end story being that everything presented is just as deep. It’s not that they get the story wrong but sometimes I feel myself misled when I actually know a little more about the events presented. And by more, I mean what a Wikipedia page could tell you. That’s how much they sometimes leave out. I wouldn’t necessarily hold it against them except there are other news formats that can give the same story in the same time and still give me better information. Just not for me.

Adverts blast at high volume.

Annoying that we have to put up with so many commercials already, now we have to have a clip of some podcast of toddler mom’s that went to high school together? I don’t think so. Especially when you think it’s a new 20/20 and it’s just a silly clip of another show

It is very difficult to hear the secondary recordings (ie confessions) In a minute the host summarizes what was said, but I wonder if it wouldn’t be better to leave off the portions with awful audible and proceed with a good summary.

The show is great, but the ads are so loud that they’re actually startling. I finally just turned it off.
