Road Stories from and FOR the road!
This is such a great podcast to listen to on the road. Murray's voice is the nice familiar friend you can't wait to hear from. And then he packs the show with a wide array of comedians & entertainers I end up tracking down afterward and following. Great after a long day of work to sit back and laugh with Murray and his gang--I've even sat in my driveway to hear the end of a story after sitting in traffic for an hour. That's the sign of a good and fun podcast. Keep up the great work...and great stories.

    Phenomenal listen
Whether you're a comic or just have a sense of humor and curiosity about "the road", this podcast is so fun. Stories of the road are wild and wildly different from comic to comic. Check this out!

    Funny even to non-comedy nerds
Awesome podcast. Always entertaining. Great groupings of the guests! #kooks4life

    Murray is great
The majority of the podcast episodes are Murray having conversations with a couple of comics about their adventures on the road. Every so often he records an episode going to and from a gig with another comic, I also enjoy those. Because life sometimes intervenes there is a very occasional repeat of an older episode, but I even appreciate those because I've been able to put stories to the theme song. What I thought were mis-heard lyrics were in fact actual lyrics.

    Fun stories
And it has helped me found new comics

This is the first podcast I downloaded to try something new and definitely picked a good one! I didn't know what to expect but it has set the bar high for what I want to listen to at work. It's not jokes or stand up, it's stories that can't be made up. Highly recommend subscribing!

Better wear knee pads because you's gonna slap 'em a lot!
I hain't got much goings on in my life here in the cornfields of Ohio. Welp, all that changed years ago when one day i heard my sister listening to this here ipodcast one night. I rolled over and grabbed her phone to see what this fellers name was. After some rasslin' and ticklin' she gave it up, afterwards I looked at her phone and fount this here ipodcast. We doggies is it a hoot! I mean a real knee slapping hoot-a-roo! Hain't been this happy since my cute lil' 12 toed nephew son was born. Him's named Murray.

    Hilarious!
Great stories about comics life at home and on the road. Murray shares his stories as well as having one or two comics on each episode. The ultimate "you can't make this stuff up" crazy stories.

    Favorite podcast
Discovered this podcast when Murray co-hosted Off The Cuff with Bill Engvall and Gary Brightwell. Listened to every episode. The stories are entertaining and exactly what you expect with Comedians on the road.

    Life on the road
I love hearing the stories the comics tell about where they have had to preform. It's almost unbelievable some of the things that go on: fights, terrible crowds at gigs, more terrible crowds, and preforming to an empty room. Hilarious.

One of my most favorite podcasts!
Always hilarious! Murray and his guests' stories give a perspective of being a road comedian I'd never know without this podcast.

Week in and week out Murray serves up hot and tasty road stories. Well, it's not as creepy as that sounds but Roadstories is in my "best of the best" playlist

    Fun and completely relatable
I have become a big fan of this podcast, because so much of it just hits the right notes. Murray Valeriano is excellent as host/moderator - good at being funny and also not stepping all over his guests - and at pairing his guests. He has created an environment/format that is relaxed and so the humor doesn’t feel forced or part of their rehearsed set (a huge pet peeve of talk with comedians on other media platforms). Even if I’m not familiar with his guests - or if I know them but aren’t particularly fans of their routines - they almost always come off as much more likable, relatable, and funny here. On top of it all, as one who also spends a lot of time working on the road, I can relate to some of the stories they tell and find it tremendously entertaining. I always listen to the new podcasts right away, and even repeat-listen to the archived episodes. “Roadstories” is a gem in the sea of podcasts…give it a listen.

    Like a great talk show
This podcast is always enjoyable, interesting and hilarious. It’s not that the comedians Murray Valeriano interviews are doing jokes or their acts. They’re just telling interesting and funny stories from their careers, usually when things went disastrously wrong. But Murray is a great interviewer. He gets people to open up, whether it’s about their lives in comedy, or life in general.

    LOVE this show
Huge fan n follower of stand up n comedians for years. These r the stories that I REALLY LOVE TO HEAR..Was sitting in a waffle house with these 5 guys (not the blue collar guys) but they were comedians on the road heading out of Tunica at 2 in the morning and I have never laughed so hard in my life.

    A Fab Podcast
Murray is a great host and every episode is fantastic. I’ve been listening to this podcast for a few years and I’m not sure why it took me so long to post a review. I look forward to seeing new episodes in my feed and being introduced to new comics. Subscribe and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

    Really love this Podcast
Not as good as The Crabfeast but f#+k The Crabfeast. They don't give away t-shirts.

    One of my favorites
I don’t always write reviews, but after listening to 3 episodes back to back to back I feel like I should give Roadstories its props. I listen to a lot of comedy podcasts and this is one of the best. Consistently funny. Murray is awesome week in and week out. He does what a great host should do. He lets his guests get the spotlight, but always manages to leave his own imprint on each show. The best part is that the guests always vary. You’ll get different comics at different points in their careers every week so it keeps the show fresh. The stories they share are hilarious and they'll often make you LOL. Ive become fans of many of the guests who have been on, and i never would’ve heard of them, if it weren’t for this podcast. A great listen to comedy nerds or for anyone who loves a great story.

Cautionary Romanticism of life on the road
After Ronna & Beverly, this is my favorite podcast. Although not all of the comedians are interested/interesting, Murray has the insiders' ability to draw them out and get them to delve. There's at least one keeper story in each episode--Bert K showing his penis to an audience member back stage/on mike is a particularly good one. But what I love about the podcast isn't the wild stories (Allan Stephan rests in the nostalgia of his a litle too comfortably, reminding me of my dad's saying on nostalgia: You're not the man you never were). Touring as a comedian is such a specifically taxing way to live; it seems more like a calling than a choice, but when the comics relate the details about sleeping in their cars before a gig, the consequences of stealing a french fry from the headliners' plate, the petty agendas of club owners and local middlers, etc., it both dampens and illuminates the romantic idea of what it is like to make a living on the road. I guess I'd call it cautionary romanticism--poignant and funny at the same time, without trying to be either.

    A great podcast.
This is what a podcast should be. Great stories from people that know how to tell stories even if you are unfamiliar with some of the guest's work. A very enteraining, enlightening, and interesting podcast; even though the host is anti Oxford Comma.

Im happy I did, though I do feel weird walking around listening and laughing out loud cause it makes me look like a crazy person! If you want great guests having off the wall hilarious conversations, this is the podcast for you!

    Brilliant show
Just happened across this podcast and gave it a listen. Now it’s 2 weeks later, and this is all I freaking listen to. I ended up losing my job, the girlfriend left, and I just sit on the park bench listening to this podcast. It’s all I need in life.

    Great stories
I love listening to the stories while I work. I find myself laughing outloud at times. If you like a little behind the scenes look at comedy, and how the entertainer sees things this is the podcast to listen to.

    Great laughs and great stories
I look forward to this podcast every week. Can't get enough. I love hearing all the funny (and some scary) stories that these comics go through. I had no idea all this happens. Also a great way for me to learn about comics I may not have heard of before.

    required listening!
Every Sunday night I wait for this podcast to drop. There are a lot of comedy podcasts out there, but this one gives you a slice of what life on the road is like for some of the top comedians out there. Murray knows what questions to ask to either make comedians feel either comfortable or uncomfortable enough to let some of the best stories leak out. Give this one a try. It's like Marc Maron meets Risk. Put this one on subscription, you are doing yourself a favor!

A Must For Lovers Of Comedy
This podcast is a must for fans of stand-up comedy! Like the title suggests, this is a great source for hearing great comics tell some of the funniest, and sometimes horrific, stories about performing on the road. I dare you to listen to one episode and not subscribe. Except not really, because you should just subscribe.

    Hilarious and informative
This podcast has a great take on the road with some of my favorite comedic icons. A lot of insight on interesting people that you can't get from other podcasts. This is my top 5 of comedy podcasts I listen to.

Totally gets the waive over to the couch
Murray brings on great working comedians with stories that everyone from the hardened road dog to the everyday comedy fan will enjoy listening to. I always look forward to this podcast, and especially like hearing about all of the things that have been thrown at comics while onstage.

    My favorite Podcast!
I travel doing comedy shows and listen to podcast to help pass the time. I found this one a while back and I've become hooked. If you like stories about what it's like to be a comedian and the inside scoop on traveling America doing comedy, you will love this podcast. Murray (the host) is great! He interviews comedians spanning the last 40 years. You never know who you will hear! It could be a new guy telling funny things about his starting out, or one of the greats telling stories about working with Comic legends at legendary places. I really enjoy the show and I think you will to. -JM

I liked it, then I loved it
Great podcast if you like stand-up, stories, or just laughing (what, you don't like laughing?). Murray is an excellent host, choosing his guests carefully, letting them run with it, and stepping in as necessary to keep the conversation flowing. Sometimes it's raw and raunchy, sometimes lighthearted, almost always fun and funny. It has really grown on me and makes the cut among all the great podcasts out there.

    Uncut Comedy at its Best
This podcast is fantastic. Every week, a roundtable discussion about the bat-craziest stuff that could happen to standup comedians on the road takes over my car stereo while I'm off to road gigs of my own. Every comic new and old should check this out and cherish the stories told on 'cast. Listen and tell a fellow comic about it!

    Never miss an episode
Roadstories has become my hands down favorite podcast. I know that comedy is, in many ways, a thankless profession. Years of working crappy hours for little pay in lousy situations because you need to do it. It isn't because it is easy or because there is a huge payoff around the bend. Road comics are out there doing it because that is who they are, not just what they do. Roadstories lets me hear everything they go through to make my lousy life a little bit better for a few minutes. I appreciate that. When I first found Roadstories, it reminds me of the first time that I listened to Henry Rollins' "Get in the Van". People in situations they hate and would not put themselves in for any other reason than because it is the only way to do what they are doing. Keep going on with it and know that I love hearing everything you and your guests have to say. BTW- it could be really interesting to get some road musicians or touring actors on to compare stories as a special episode. I think that could be very interesting.
