The BBQ draft was cool. Great selections by the both of you. But Michelle, it’s called corn hole. I’m from Indiana and it’s corn hole there. I’ve played in other states as well and it’s corn hole everywhere. Also, Ceruti is spot on. Never having gone to an ice cream truck is insane. Running to the truck with a bunch of kids and getting a cartoon shaped ice cream is a core memory of my childhood. Michelle you did say the funniest thing I’ve ever heard you say on the pod though, “I so appreciate that Gen Z is feeling themselves, but I also kinda need them to shut up.” 😂 same A+ content all around

Been a day one listener but got behind and starting to catch up. Listened to the Iowa trip pod and was surprised Michelle didn’t know those pong rules. All the ones she listed were common during my time at college in Rolla.

What up Small Talk pod! New to the show and love the content, but going through the archives, I gotta say I disagree with the fact that orange juice is better than orange flavor. I know I’m in the minority on this one, but orange juice is one of those things ruined for me by childhood. So much wanna be orange juice (Sunny D) that now every time I drink Orange Juice I feel that layer of sugar over my teeth...I’ll continue to drop the takes as I have them! Do you guys have those things you love as a child and now you can’t stand?

I really enjoy this pod. However this most recent episode (Burger Test) is a must listen for any College Basketball fan. I’m cackling at the Illinois and B1G takes. It goes on for no joke, 20 minutes. You keep thinking it’s going to end and then it just doesn’t. All about how Illinois is the best team and the B1G is the best conference. Listening to all this with hindsight high comedy.

The frustrating thing about the pod is that they can’t hear me when I join in the conversation. I’m constantly responding to the discussion out loud, like I’m having a beer with them while they go back and forth. I listen at work and my co-worker likes to make fun of me bc I’m constantly arguing out loud to nobody. I got fired up when they were talking about what Instagram posts are ok/not ok to “like” when you’re in a relationship. Love the pod, it genuinely is like sitting down with a couple friends and talking/discussing/debating random stuff.

I’ve been a day one Shelly! Love the show and the random conversations on topics my friends and I often deep dive on!

I began listening around episode 80 and could not get enough. I recently moved and have a longer commute, so I went back and listened from episode 1. The only way this podcast could be better is if you could crank out 2-3 episodes a week for me. The days I have to find something else to listen to are downers. Also—I think the ultimate 1v2 matchup in 10,000 frogs would be heart frog v crack frog.

Michelle and Ceruti are interesting, open minded people that host this phenomenal pod. I will continue to listen until you one day retire from the podcast game. HOWEVER, I have but one simple request, please lay off the cat people. Cats are kind and loyal animals, with an impeccable judge of character. You could additionally apply those characteristics to our pair of hosts of the small talk pod. I encourage you both to seek out a cat lover you know well and ask them why they love their cat. I am not asking either of you to take in a cat, but simply quit the constant bashing of those individuals who own cats. If we’re cool with plastic surgery, we’re cool with cats.

Day 0 Shelly - Listener since SVP & Russillo. As such, once the Shelly Swag was released I immediately fired off the link to my Mother, who had just asked me the day before for ideas of what I might like for Christmas. Unfortunately, by the time she went to buy it, all were sold out. THAT was predictable. What was not was my Mother’s solution.... she found a DIFFERENT Men’s T Shirt with sea shells on it, as I guess that’s what she thought was important 🤦. Imagine my confusion on Christmas morning lol. The Pod is A+ Content. My Fhelly Shirt is not.

Day 1 Shelly here, this show has forced me to force all of our dinner guests to do various fantasy drafts and my wife is totally over it. Love the show. Listened to Bernie and Karraker all the time and got use to listen to you and like the knowledge and banter. The pod is another great Covid distraction and connection to STL. Two things; who goes to Joshua Tree in the summer? Amazing place but winter is best. It even snows there and No snakes then. The Joshua Trees only grow there in the world. Serious rock climbing. Should have driven 30 minutes more and come to Palm Springs, definitely more your vibe. Give us a try again... any time but summer! Ceruti is good also, but he lost the State and Candy drafts. Fruit draft is a Push!

Adnan would be the perfect person for this role. Impartial as a Canadian but has traveled a lot for his job. Also, Illinois drafted way too high. Terrible pick. Sorry Michelle.

Love the pod and mostly agree with the top of the draft. However, I do believe if you took a poll of 100 people to name fruits that come to mind, avocado would come up on the list WAY before something like guava would. For Michelle to ban the avocado MID-DRAFT for not being “traditional” was unfair to Ceruti, who clearly based his draft strategy on the 6th man of the year favorite that is the avocado. Great work.

Love this pod cast. Energetic and fun. Hosts have amazing chemistry. Two things...walking tacos are standard camping/scouting food. Also Michelle please slow down on the word ‘literally’. On some episodes I could turn it into a drinking game. Otherwise keep up the great work. Love the variety and randomness.

I work in ag and have plenty of time to listen to whatever on my phone. This pod is my favorite. Like I’m sure other people do I find myself listening and wanting to add to the conversation. Did Steve sneakily say the new goodbye tagline in the last pod with,”chill out Ozarks?” I hope that you guys jump back into the movie reviews. I loved it and knew all of the movies that you guys hadn’t seen so it was fun to hear new takes on them. As far as SMI or small talk investigates I’m curious about streamers/you tubers. Listening from Lexington, KY. Shamelessly self-appointed Co-Chairman of the Third Eye Blind is Tremendous (TEBIT) committee alongside Ceruti. Michelle: you’re a max contract star. Original listening roots are from SVP/Russillo but you have both had the (non-Balco) juice since day one. You all are elite hosts and you bring out the best in each other because you smoothly balance electric energy, sharp sarcasm, spoonfuls of self-awareness, accurate AF societal commentary, and legitimate sports expertise. As for the audibles ... every time the show goes off the rails, it’s hysterical. So taking all that together, the show is like hanging out with friends on a restaurant patio on a summer evening and hilariously debating the most eclectic array of topics and hypotheticals. That’s the peak of friendship and Michelle & Ceruti seem on their way to the peak of podcasting. This show is stellar and everybody needs to jump aboard this jovial locomotive.
