TJwheelieLeft bias but ok til last 3 episodesAs others have said, there is a liberal bias however it stays mostly in check until Clinton and Watergate episodes Earlier episodes are informative and interesting with many fascinating tidbits
-
MTChap26Painful narration and definitely told from a particular point of viewI tried, I really tried but I can’t get through the Clinton episode. Making President Clinton the victim and everyone investigating him to be monsters is ludicrous. “If Ken Starr and Linda Tripp hadn’t been so evil, none of this would have happened.” Please look at your scripts and review the adjectives you use in describing the characters. Your bias is showing.
-
Nitche71*Don’t stopNot sure if the podcast has ended since no new episodes but very interesting. Hoping you don’t let the critical comments discourage you. It’s not representative of everyone
-
Bataan MarcherWatergateYour bias is showing again: the Nixon campaign used “former CIA operatives “ where the Obama administration used current FBI agents to the same purpose. I don’t disagree with your facts, only your selection of facts that you use. Please try to be equally hard on everyone

a_real_twitLeave the Left-Wing Rhetoric at HomeThese are interesting stories but are told with a left-wing partisan slant. Episodes covering historical events that occurred prior to 1900 are fine. Anyting in teh 20th and 21st centuries, don't bother unless you don't mind hearing it from a left-wing point of view.

How are all the names taken?10Interesting but slantedI have found the spread across history of politics interesting. It has helped me to look into historical events I didn’t know about. However I have been very disappointed about the comments that Richard and Kate have made about current events and ideologies. They have been very slanted, treating left-leaning opinions as facts. There were certain historical episodes where they did a great job of explaining how certain facts were known (ie “so-and-so wrote in a letter...”) but there were also some times where opinions and feelings of parties involved were assumed based on today’s popular ideologies and stated as if they were obvious. I would still recommend a listen because I learned a lot, but I also took most of what I heard with a grain of salt. UPDATE: Earlier on I enjoyed it more, but I couldn’t even listed to the whole Clinton episode because they were defending the President while vilifying the people who were investigating him. I stopped listening at the point because their bias was so obvious I could no longer trust their research. 😞 I so enjoyed the beginning of this podcast, I was very disappointed by their later episodes!

marcusp75Great idea, terrible hostsThe idea for this podcast was great, but the two hosts have the least possible appealing voices. I tried to listen, but often fell asleep a few minutes into the episodes. You have to concentrate to follow the story, because the storytelling is terrible. And they missed the biggest scandal of all, Obamagate.
-
Yam MarPodcast Promoting an AgendaWhile the relating of these scandals comes across as thorough and professional, please take the tales with...not a grain of salt but a metric ton of salt. For example, the rebutted claim that Thomas Jefferson fathered children by a slave is treated by this podcast’s producers as “fact.” Moreover, the tone of the podcasts tend toward the promotion of Leftist/Relativistic/Post Modern ideals, e.g. prostitution is empowering for women and being against sex work is misogynistic.

AlyssmotInteresting subject, boring hosts. This should be a really great podcast. The subject matter is fascinating. But the hosts make it unbearably boring. The monotone newscaster voices just ruin it. There’s no personality, no banter, no human aspect. It’s hard to really learn anything because it’s impossible to stay attentive. It quickly becomes background noise that my brain just filters out. If these scripts were published in a book, I’d probably want to read it. But the delivery in podcast form is just so bad.
-
mythoughts2987Very biasListened to two episodes and couldn’t listen anymore. Very left leaning and not partial at all! I think you alienated a lot of listeners!
-
Eomer000Worth a listen, but has definitive bias. Some very interesting material, the earlier history stuff seems better, the more recent scandals have a very distinct political bias.

Yames296Detailed and balanced. Each podcast is well researched for accuracy and presented with a balance of consideration for each side in the scandal. Although I thought the Clinton Impeachment was a bit biased. For example, “Republicans in the Senate, unlike the House, did not want to be punished at the voting booth”. I think what is more accurate is that there were Senators who were worried about being punished by voters and many Republican House members were not. It’s not like any Republican Representative wanted to be punished. Minor phrasing but it does paint the House Republicans to be incompetent in that they wanted or didn’t care about being punished. Many House members voted as their constituents wanted. Also, “the day before he left office in January 2000”, I assume was intended to read, “January 2001”.

Old guy 5000EhGreat show on J. Hover and his spying. But y’all didn’t talk about the panthers executing police, in city’s like philly. which is why they were being watched. And your last dig at the government agents in city’s riff with riots. The agents were placed there to protect govt property that the mayors were refusing to protect. Watch the spin guys it can cause major problems to people with simple minds
-
MacjeremymacSarcasm everywhereOnce again you are not telling a story but a political narrative. Your lean is obvious.
-
rambo4454Inaccuracies aboundPlaying fast and loose with the facts! Heavily armed DHS officers were deployed to suppress social justice protest??? Are you kidding me?? The only thing the officers suppressed was violence and looting and burning of federal properties. I dare anyone to prove me wrong. Unbelievable
-
utmuhbsA decent introduction to the topicI feel like I’m generally listening to two people read alternating sentences in a Wikipedia article.
-
N0VELI$TWorth the listenI appreciated how much effort was put into researching and developing the immersive storytelling that covered each political scandal. It’s still ongoing, but you guys have done a terrific job, and I look forward to listening more in the future!
-
GMS0628Great listeningLove listening to Richard and Kate. Fabulous content, wonderful delivery. Always a good listen.
-
GodsOfOlympus208BiasedMaybe less biased and I would have given it 5/5. Also, it says Richard Helms, one of the people in the scandals, is a guest.
-
Rookie1026Very informationalI can only imagine what will spin out of this current administration.
-
Marty10190000000Keep up the good workThese guys really do a thorough research and then they bring us the goods These stories are full of wonder, laughter and tears. Exactly how u want it Thank you guys. Keep up the good work

-
6&38738;8383883Enough with the ideologyHonestly, I’m able to brush off most of the political bias, but what really bugs me is when you people go off on these tangents about “evil masculinity.” Give me a break. Enough with this pseudo psycho analysis. It’s garbage
-
KamillaRoseReally enjoying itMy daughter who will be 3 soon picked this one out tonight. So here we are listening to political scandals lol really do enjoy the podcast myself too lol
-
Defense CounselDon’t Change a ThingKeep doing what you do and keep doing it the way you do .. sarcasm and all.. it’s refreshing..
-
Amber3956Why so negative??Unbelievable all the negative comments lately, if you can’t figure it out, its a well rounded, flowing, non fiction storytelling podcast! With many people like myself enjoying them as I wind down my day, who’s to say in order to host one, you gotta be a journalist with your own writing material!!? Like really, there are TONS out there all the same, and this is different and I love it. You guys are doing great 👍 and FYI the “hosts names are literally written right under your nose
-
plisasObama spying on trumpThat should be coming up - can’t wait to hear that. That would complete the circle of corruption. Hopefully you have the guts!
-
Shi NobiGreat ConceptHighly entertaining!
-
carlgood1low-ambition, formulaic script readingThis is like an undesirable collection of short stories on the discount rack at the bookstore - or what I imagine Reader’s Digest was like. Real non-fiction podcasts, to me (and many others) are more like magazines with original journalism. Notice how the hosts don’t share their names? It’d be one thing if they were actual journalists - but I doubt Parcast wants you looking up their otherwise unknown text readers. This is just...incredibly weak.
-
Jamzz4funLost a listenerKate's snarky comment on the George Ryan episode about the staying of executions was probably "a nice gesture from one criminal to another" has cost Parcast a listener to many of its shows. Do some research you privileged liberal snob.
-
Corn2012Great listenReally enjoy your podcasts. It shows the dark political history of this country that often times tries to portray its self as above the fray. Also really love the sarcasm!
-
adavis35Loved the episode about Grover Cleveland’sI never knew that Grover Cleveland has such horrible personal shortcomings. What a bastard!
-
BookirkTry anotherIf your looking for in depth research try another podcast. If your ok with 6th grade Wikipedia research Parcast network is for you.
-
MMckennzieNot as good as it could beThis group of Parcast history podcasts are very superficial and feel like a Young Students version of events. It’s just not enough for me.
-
Bourbon_TyguySo far so goodI have listened to a few of these podcasts and I enjoy them. Not sure why some say they are bias. I honestly think there are just some people out there who feel there is bias if they don’t agree with what they are listening to. If people don’t like this podcast there are hundreds of others they can listen to that fit their agenda.
-
riahlouisInformation you never knew!Listening as an adult it almost sounds as if it were made by Scholastics for kids But, it is literally my favorite podcast of all time. My entire family now listens to the podcast and enjoy it every time!
-
otrwanabeJimmy CarterYour Episode 37 states carter joined the marines for four years. He went to the US Navel Academy from 1943 to 1946 and graduated.
-
lampshade1227Some glaring inaccuracies but informativeOnce you get past some inaccuracies and bias it is an entertaining series. I hope my prediction that number one will be an overstatement of a certain current event
-
joe swoleWhat scandals JudeRanch?Podcast is great, and to defend the podcast against JudeRanch’s review, What trump “scandals” are you speaking of that weren’t already proven to be product of life long bureaucrats conspiring with Democrats and Clintons to subvert the fair and decisive vote of the American people. Maybe just maybe the fact you realized the podcast is great but omitted Trump would tell you something but of course not you’re stuck in your leftist echo chamber
-
JudeRanchtrump scandalAlthough I throughly enjoy Parcast podcasts, I was very disappointed when all trump scandals were omitted. Too many to chose from?
-
NENE K1111Scandal of 1800How can the Republican party be involved? The party was founded in 1854? Perhaps you mean to mislead people and show political bias?
-
Roy 844$()))Not objectiveIn the Casino Jack episode they called AOC “left of center” when she’s a self proclaimed socialist...that’s as far left as you can get. Also they refused to name any of the democratic congressman involved with Jack but named all the GOP ones. I like the concept, but not t execution.

lydiepearlKate’s voiceHad to unsubscribe because of Kate’s shrill voice. Please replace her

Joelle is sick of politicsFactually incorrectI wanted to like this, but they get facts wrong. For example, in episode 42 on Judge Harold G. Carswell, the female narrator says the judicial filibuster was done away with in 2017. That’s.....wrong. In 2013, the Senate eliminated the the 60 vote rule (filibuster) for executive branch and federal judicial nominations with the exception of the Supreme Court. In 2017, the Senate went all the way and ended it for the Supreme Court as well. How can the narrators leave those details out and claim to be objective, factual, and nonpartisan?

PlaZmaTiK89Interesting, but far from realityThe parallel reality that the duo articulates is extremely interesting. But—their nonsensical ramblings perfectly depicts their historic illiteracy. The duo joined forces in order to perpetuate political fallacies caused by their inept biases. When it comes to distant history, the pair’s inaccuracies seem rather benign and due to ignorance of the nuances of American political history. However, the historical discrepancies and pontificating proven fallacies of newer “scandals” shows true bias. The latter shows malice and nefariousness. If they kept their own immoral wants and ideals out of the topic at hand, it would be a 3/5. Having hosts who were knowledgeable of history and politics, along with the previously mentioned, would make it a 5/5. -Historian
-
Flying Ace50Inaccurate story telling at its finestThis could be a very interesting podcast, but after trying to get into this for about 8 weeks it’s impossible. Personal politics trickle into this show nearly every other sentence making it insufferable.
-
ASimpleGuyFromASmallTownAmazing PodcastI expected political hackery, but they cover scandals from a more neutral point of view. If you listen closely, you can hear a little bias towards the left, but it is still entertaining.
-
ShamblemanEntertaining and Eye-OpeningReally interesting and well-researched! Reminds you that today's political climate isn't that far from the scandals of the past in some ways.
-
