    Avoid this podcast.
It’s spins a narrative that is so off. Disappointed in Debra Messing. The other lady, had no clue who she even was.

    GARBAGE
A dumpster fire of garbage people and garbage opinions.

    Liberal garbage
I’d rather eat spaghetti from a colostomy bag, than listen to these uneducated, ignorant liberal turds. Revisit 9th grade civics class ladies, you both obviously flunked te first time.

    The Dissenters is incredible
I enjoyed every single episode of this season. Debra and Mandana do their research. They are fun, intelligent and ask incredible, thought-provoking questions. Love!

    Highly Disappointed
Was interested in listening to Debra, growing up watching her shows. But that misled me to believe she had more love for other humans with a wide variety of views. Unfortunately “Dissenters” actually means “no dissent” at all in this context. She is completely aligned with the Hollywood elite. Also - Hilary Clinton is not a dissenter. Liar? Check. Hateful? Check. Instead, Tulsi Gabbard is coming out with a podcast — so that’s where I’ll be heading for a true dissenter! Dissenting against the machine.

    Just wow...
If your opinions align completely with the media, academia, entertainment, and increasingly general corporate interests maybe, just maybe, you aren’t dissidents that are part of “The Resistance”.

    Run away. Don’t walk. Dreadful.
I liked Debra Messing from shows so I came across her podcast & listened. Wow. She is a political bigot, her hatred for conservatives is vile. Her extreme liberalism is alarming. If you are: conservative, Christian, honest, and dialed into reality... this podcast will bore you & offend your sensibilities. Very little factual content, basically a couple liberal extremists gossiping. No thanks. There should be a ZERO stars option. They should be removed from Apple podcasts, there’s enough gaslighting in America from the left already.

    The same Hollywood trope ...
Hollywood women think they can stand up for and help the rest of society. We don’t need any more podcasts like this 👎🏽

Very different and refreshing pod cast. Listened to Jane Fonda episode first due to my great love and respect for Jane. I so appreciated it . The interview by Debra was excellent so i will continue to listen to this unique show with a list of very interesting and hearty guests. TY

    Awesome podcast!
I love this podcast! Such a great mix of amazing people you have chosen to focus on. I never really knew most of these superstars and all are equally amazing in what they do. Thank you for introducing them to us and highlighting their tremendous contributions to the betterment of our society. Debra and Mandana are a great mix of relax and casual with great professionalism. They do their homework and ask thought-provoking and intelligent questions. The shows have a natural and easy conversation and flow. Great job, ladies! Can’t wait for the next season!

    Dissenters
This podcast has been invaluable to me! From the Jameela Jamil episode (my first in this series) which 100% changed my relationship w/my body, to the RBG special (I sobbed while walking and listening to their raw emotion) to Adam Schiff’s love of Debra, (my name too!!) and so many more incredibly insightful, interesting and fascinating interviews, these 2 BFF’s are so down to earth, brilliant and full of heart. Please don’t stop!! I love what you’re both doing!!! 💙💙

Debra Messing is a narcissistic neoliberal idiot
Spend just a wee bit of time sifting thru Messing’s twitter feed or subscribing to her phone messages to see she is a Hollywood sheep herder for the white rich neoliberal elite. She has zero clue of the economic and racial struggles of the working class poor, and tokenizes minorities and women ad nauseam. It appears she receives her marching orders from the very entities that brought us mass incarceration, endless wars, wall st bailouts and main st sell outs, and an on going insurance profiting healthcare system that leaves families bankrupted and destitute. Working brains and thinkers would do better listening to the Hill Rising with Krystal Ball, Democracy Now, Secular Talk, and David Sirota. A brain is a terrible thing to waste.

    Essential Listening for 2020
I’m not exaggerating when I say that this podcast is getting me through the mental exhaustion of 2020. They interview so many inspiring people who manage to educate you on important albeit harrowing issues, and yet somehow leave you with the essential hope we all need right now. I felt obligated to share it with everyone I love and the discussions it has encouraged in my own social groups have restored my faith in the power of proper communication within a polarized world. Well done ladies! Thank you for speaking your truths and acknowledging your rightful anger.

    So Powerful!
Yes! I agree. We need to make voting more sexy. Because it is. I’m so glad I stumbled on this podcast. Your guests are spot-on and simplifying what so many of us find absolutely baffling. Thank you for this!

    Hoping for More
Disappointed. When I read the bio I thought that perhaps this would be interesting, inspiring, educational and fresh. It’s very overdone and everything is very one sided. How can you truly learn and grow from dissenters if everything is of the same rhetoric. I would have truly been interested if you had dissenters from each side of the fence so that people could walk away having perhaps learned something or gained a fresh perspective. You will get the same hype from this podcast as you do turning on a news station only with a news station you will have less loud, less fawning and “amazing”.
  • cg31950
    Women supporting (only) liberal Women
Listen only is you are a white privileged woman who leans left. All other thoughts and beliefs need not apply. Where are the conservative Trail Blazers? Candace Owens? Only one POV is presented . Typical.

    RBG Episode
Your RBG episode gave me chills. It was beautiful, powerful, and emotional in all the right ways. Thank you!

    Interesting guests, but ...
are the hosts are often too sappy, fawning over each other and their guests. Not everything is “incredible” or “amazing”

    The voice of advocacy
You guys are absolutely amazing! I can’t thank you enough for putting so much love and effort into what you guys are doing here. Albert Einstein said it himself “If you can’t explain something simply, you don’t know it well enough”. You can see and feel how you guys truly educate yourselves so profoundly on these subject you bring to all us listeners giving way to truly feeling a whole new sense of understanding after each episode. I admire you guys deeply. I would love to hear Lizbeth Mateo (a immigration lawyer/ advocate) with an amazing back story I think could enrich all of us on your podcast ^-^. Thank you again and sending so much love and positivity your way 🙏🏻

    Love learning about amazing people!
I listened to Cindy Eckert’s interview today. At first I thought, “this is interesting”. The more I listened, the more I learned and by the end I was thinking, “ this is me”! I didn’t know other women were experiencing what I was! Every episode brings such great information. I love this Podcast! Debra and Mandala are awesome!

    A must listen
This podcast has been such a gift during an otherwise dark time. It’s motivated me in new ways to give back, fight for what’s right and harness my anger and energy for good. Thank you for introducing me to these dissenters and reminding us to always keep fighting for what’s right.

One of the Best Podcasts I’ve Ever Listen To
This is hands down one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. It not only inspires but causes you to look inside yourself and lights that fire in you to go out and do more. Make sure you listen to them all - even if it is an episode you wouldn’t think you are particularly interested in, there has not a single episode that I haven’t deeply connected with and learned so much from. Start by listening to just one and I guarantee you will be hooked!!!

    Crediting you’re Photographers!
Just finished listening to your episode with the incredible Jamila Jamil and can I just say thank you for crediting your photographers! I’ve never heard any podcast do that and it’s so amazing that you mention the people who help create sometimes the only visual aspect of your show. Thank you wonderful ladies!

Run don’t walk to hear this podcast
Can a single episode of a podcast change someone’s life? It sure feels like it is going to change mine. The Glennon Doyle episode really packed a punch, and Jameela Jamil is a treasure. It is my mission to get all my friends to listen to it by the weekend. Love the banter between these enthusiastic, articulate, talented, and motivated women. I want more! In the meantime, I’m off to figure out not what’s wrong with me, but what’s wrong. Love it!

    Amazing Podcast
This is an amazing podcast, and everyone should listen to it. I look forward to the new episodes on Thursdays, and I have listened some of the episodes more than once. I love how I learn something in each episode. After listening to an episode I am so interested in what these people have done, that I go and do my own research to find out even more. I have learned about so many great people and how I can make a difference as a result of this podcast. The people that Debra and Mandana have each week are just amazing. I love the amount of energy that Debra and Mandana bring to each and every episode. I have always been a little bit afraid to go and speak my mind and share my thoughts and views, but after listening to all of the podcasts I have realized that I should stand up for what I believe in and not think and care about what people are going to say. I cannot wait for more episodes! Debra and Mandana, thank you for inspiring me!!
