So far pretty good but have an issue with The Expedition
I’ve listened to most of the podcasts but The Expedition had me saying no, nope, no way. In that one the story takes place in a country and area that allows tourists to hunt and kill big game such as lions. This should be illegal to me. It’s cruel and with so many animals having been extinct or on the verge of extinction- I just can’t listen to this episode. I know you as a podcaster aren’t supporting this practice but it sounds like it’s because it costs too much….not because it’s inhumane. Not sure if I’ll continue to follow if there’s any more stories like The Expedition. Again, you’re a great storyteller and researcher but I think the topic of hunting to kill big game as a form of tourism is evil.

    Used to like
I used to enjoy this podcast but if you aren’t going to clearly condemn trophy hunting you get an immediate unfollow.

    Vocal fry
I like the stories but can’t take the vocal fry anymore

    Great Series!
One of my favorite podcasts! I didn’t realize I was a park enthusiast until I started listening!

    Woke
Traditionally feminine clothing? Why can’t we have a great podcast that just tells the story.

    Politics
I stopped listening to the majority of Audiochuck podcasts due to the constant insertion of political views but had not given up on Delia I love her storytelling and she does not insert anything political…. Until now. You lost me at “traditional feminine clothing”.

It wouldn’t be summer without Park Predators
Delia is the real deal. I admire her investigative journaling skills and her delivery of the story. Her voice is so easy to listen to and I don’t have a hard time understanding any words since her dictation is so clear and even. This podcast makes me think of summer. As a kid, I spent many summer days hanging out at state parks, running off to explore in the woods and on trails, alone with my siblings, hiking the white Mountains as well, and any outdoor space that we found ourselves in. I’m glad nothing ever happened to me and my family, but my heart goes out to the families of those who weren’t so lucky!

    Exceptional Storytelling
I listen to numerous podcasts throughout the week, including five additional true crime podcasts. This is by far, my favorite. Delia consistently delivers an impeccable storyline, thoughtfully articulated, always making sure to carefully deliver fact based information based on her investigative research. As a listener, I always feel the genuine care and concern she reflects in her voice when sharing these heartbreaking stories. Kudos to Delia and this wonderful podcast.

    Great Concept
Love the idea of true crime stories based in parks. My only critique would be the use of the word ‘sus’. I just can’t 😬

    Look forward to every episode
Delia has a beautiful speaking voice and her investigative journalism is given personal and incredible attention.

    Weak
Weak storytelling recapitulating others’ work with zero interest in original research and fact-finding. When a doubt, cites two conflicting sources absent any effort to get to the bottom of the truth. That said, citing sources itself is admittedly a huge improvement and ethical win for anything audiochuck.

    Gunned down
This show is great but Delia, please stop using the phrase “gunned down” so much omg

If you like ads, listen to this podcast.
Audiochuck productions can be more about ads than actual content. 25-45 min episodes in which half are just ads is clearly a signal they care more about profit.

    It’s fine
Honestly I do like some of the stories but she spends so much time saying things like “the searchers found his body but I have no idea how they knew it was his body. Maybe it was from his clothing description I just don’t know …blah blah blah blah” or “his horse had been missing and searchers found a horse roaming in a field nearby but I couldn’t figure out how they knew it was his horse. Maybe the horse was branded but I just couldn’t find anything else….blah blah blah.” It’s like she’s trying to show she’s being an investigative journalist but it’s over the dumbest details and it’s getting really annoying.

    Fabulous
I always look forward to hear these episodes. Always interesting and the host is the best!

Funniest podcast line I’ve ever heard
5/31/2022 episode there’s a line where Delia says “after what felt like hours but was only about 2 hours”
  • BC2024
    most recent episode opinion
It feels like the whole thing could age. even avoided if the park ranger hadn’t escalated the situating by chasing down a man for hunting ducks…

    Excellent
I’m loving all the stories and the host is very compassionate and professional. Thank you for doing this, I wish you much success, please continue this podcast.
  • VAhomegrown
    Fave podcast host
Long-time podcast listener, first time writing a review. From the content, her voice, and the way she tells the stories; she is my absolute favorite podcaster! I’ve been listening to Park Predators & Counter Clock from the beginning and can’t get enough! I recommend to all my fellow true crime friends.
  • Faery Dogmother
    Snoozefest
After my father died, my Mom was really lonely and would follow us around the house reading ‘interesting stories’ from the local paper. This podcast is giving me flashbacks. It’s basically someone with terrible delivery (so monotone!) reading a story from a newspaper article, with background music on the make it feel ominous. No actual investigation, just regurgitating other journalists’ work. Its great if you can’t get to sleep but HOW is it rated 4.5 ?!!??!?
  • IFForever
    Fantastic!
This is my all time favorite podcast. I love her voice, storytelling and how interesting the stories are. So, happy she dropped season 3 finally!!!

    I love it! 🔥
I love this series! I’ve never really been much of a podcast listener, but when I found this, everything totally changed. I’ve only been listening for about a week and I’ve almost finished the entire series 😳 Please don’t stop the awesome episodes!

    Great stories
I feel the story’s are well researched and there’s no unnecessary banter which can be fun but sometimes not needed. Well done!
  • sar2355
Pattern of bias throughout her coverage
Overall, I like the podcast, including CounterClock that Delia puts out. However she’s seems to carry an overly critical view of law enforcement with every story she covers, whether they solve the case or not. I have to assume the police and detectives are typically doing the best with what resources they have, maybe she’s had a bad experience in the past with law enforcement she still holds a grudge…who knows?

    Episode Info!!
Just fyi…it’s a Memorial Day to Labor Day pod. Aka summertime camping/outdoors time of year and stories. I absolutely miss it all winter, but look forward to Memorial Day weekend as I know it’s coming up the following week. Love the pod. Love her story telling & cadence. My only complaint is I wish it was more than once a week ❤️

    Good podcast
I’ve loved this podcast from the beginning! Love your counterclock podcast too! First episode of the new season though was so hard to follow along, I found myself daydreaming through the episode constantly.
  • Villvent79
    Girl I cringed!
Girl, just listened to your latest episode and I cringed so hard when you used the term “sus” instead of saying the whole word, suspicious. You are a great story teller please don’t try and seem cool with these dumb terms, you’re more than articulate to convey a story without trying to make terms like “sus” relevant!
  • Jckcrly233

    Good story telling
I like the podcast, I’ve been flying through episodes. She’s a good story teller and delivers the information in the same format as crime junkies. I have progressed to other styles of true crime stories in the last few years like Dark Topic but I do enjoy the content. I definitely am starting to feel like you can get away with murder in Parks 🤦🏽‍♀️ terrifying

    Love the content but …….
This specific hosts voice is not pleasurable. Maybe because I’m used to Ashley Flowers. But I can’t take this hosts voice it is the opposite of soothing and makes it hard to listen.

    Delia is a Role Model
Wow - I cannot give enough praise to host Delia D’Ambra. Not only is she a powerhouse journalist which is worthy of praise, but she is excellent at delivering these stories clearly and respectfully. I love our national parks and hiking in general. So while I love true crime, I also love the lessons we can learn about safety in the wild from these stories. Keep them coming, I’ll be listening.
