Worth Watching23-StarsI love this movie. I give it three starts even though the show itself has none. The ‘B’ effects were a little blah but that season one ending was so disappointing. How do you come back from that? I was waiting for Jar-Jar-Binks to show up. Meso feel this was a huge let down.

Dgphoto4uClosure?Now that the show has been canceled, can we get some story closure on where it was going? A book, a podcast, even a comic or anything to help bring closure to these characters and story we love?

JoshinBayAreaSuperficial and glibThe host lacks the emotional maturity to Do anything more than restate the obvious and interview show-makers who have something to say. She has the emotional maturity of a high schooler and treats everything like joke. There is so much more potential for thinking about the creative threads - for a much better version, listen to We Were All Raised by Wolves.

Grey AnacondaRaised by wolves againPlease let there be a season 3 within a year

JgfgnDisappointingI was very disappointed with the content of this podcast because I love the actual show. I was looking for more of a deeper look into the show. It mostly just seemed like the host laughing and continually saying “ I love the snake baby”. I think this podcast would benefit from having 2 hosts, to invite more conversation and variety of tone / perspective.

Living Comfort EagleI would prefer a different host, but it’s nice to go behind the scenesI don’t like the host’s voice or personality, and is there a podcaster with a worse laugh? But the content is interesting for fans of the show. Note: I think this would be a mean review if it were a fan podcast, but this is an official podcast. The choice of host is fair to question.

cool182guyGreat companion to each episodeI always want to talk about each episode after, so this is the perfect way to wrap my mind around some of what’s going on each week. Love the host, her insights, and the guests

Will UtleySeason 1 of Pod was Great…Season 1 was a unique podcast, unfortunately season 2 of the podcast is a recap/clip show that’s not worth listening to if you watch the show.
-
Bucky JojoSpoilersSeason two’s first two episodes have each had spoilers for episodes not aired yet. Please try to be more attentive to editing out your guest’s slip-ups. Thanks!
-
robitussnSo closeThere is lots of filler and show clips (which is almost pointless in a podcast format with no visuals). It sometimes touches upon what I want to hear discussions about, but that is the exception not the rule. Also Holly’s voice is really distracting.
-
DJBIDDWell doneNot a recap, but rather truly thoughtful, provocative discussions on the themes explored on Raised By Wolves. Excellent Pod
-
YupOkayGlad for the format changeLast season’s format made little sense. Talk about the actual show. This show is so dense it begs for a deeper explanation on the podcast. Glad you realized that.
-
QuantumSaviorCome on season 2 and beyond!Hoping for this soon:)

Honeypot magsGreat idea pairing sci-fi with podcast! As a lover of sci-fi and podcasts and AI, being able to listen to these deep dives after watching the show is such a great media combination and user experience! Thanks, looking forward to more.
-
rcarrion312FascinatingLoved getting a deeper dive into the science and world-building behind the show!
-
jeannicshDeeper diveSuch a great insight into the underlying themes of the show. I really enjoyed it. Esp hearing from the guests. I hope they continue it for the next season

Newark KnightGreat showThis is a great listen, it explains the small stuff and helps enhance the big stuff.

ouijaBest companion podcastThe structure and content of this podcast is brilliant. After listening to this podcast, I’m going to find it hard to go back to any of my normal podcasts that are reactions, explainers, or “deep dives.” The interviewer’s questions are so well done...they’re lean and progress logically; I never felt left behind although I have no expertise in any of the experts’ specialty areas.By staying on the periphery of the show, this podcast actually helped me find my own way into a deeper understanding of the show’s themes and the unique questions it raises.
-
Monkeysee2003Fantastic!This podcast is a fantastic companion for the show. Thanks for the content!
-
mb nunezInterestingNot a fan of Holly’s voice but the background is in-depth. But like it more when the structure of each show is delved into deeply.

MattyM32Too Many SpoilersThe podcast is well done but they seem to assume that we have watched the whole series when we begin listening to the podcast. On a number of occasions during the first two episodes of this podcast, things are mentioned that occur later in the HBO series, with no indication that spoilers are about to be revealed. Creators of this podcast should go through all their episodes from the perspective of an uninformed viewer looking to have a richer experience on this excellent HBO series. Or, they should indicate where information from later in the series is referenced so the listener of the podcast can avoid them.

AhdawnisLove the pod; better than the showLove the podcast; so-so on the show itself.
-
the wolf that raised youNot a very good companionHardly even talks about the show
-
VicMaxrowVery InterestingThis is a great podcast that explores this show from a realistic point of view! I feared it would be a podcast about when the stars of the show did in their off time and what they had for breakfast. This is about the science and tech.
-
bkgdr808Not a companion podcastThe Lovecraft country podcast is much more enjoyable.
-
scttmchldRehashI get what this pod is going for but at the same time I still would’ve liked it to be more of a companion to the episode rather than TED talk it.

izzy_gNot Quite A Companion PodcastThis show is an amazing piece of sci-fi. As per a companion podcast, I wish this was a sit down with the creative team to discuss the creation / execution of the show, and have a discussion around the major themes & questions the show presents. The host asks good questions of the experts but the “could this tech be real” thesis of the podcast is interesting, and feels more pedantic than anything else, and feels like the least interesting question you could try and answer when it comes to the show. Wish the podcast wasn’t so tangential.

Isaac A. MorenoNot a real show companion podcastThe podcast is technically well produced and Holly Frey is a veteran host with a great voice and fantastic interview skills. However, I’m rating this low because of the bizarre focus put on hypothetical technology instead of the narrative or production of the show. It is meant as a companion podcast to a show; but hardly ever references the show itself. Even when talking to the show creator it frustratingly turns into a general conversation about AI or robots, not the inspirations, themes, or plots of the show. Not that it’s not an interesting conversation; but it doesn’t go with the “show companion” label. I get this focus is a choice and intentional, just doesn’t work for me.
-
katkutter1Intelligent approachNot just another show podcast. The host digs into issues raised in the show rather than rehashing episodes. Great to hear the science - and thoughts behind the science - of this science fiction delight!
-
Steve FarrisGreat Companion to the ShowThis show is amazing! This podcast is great for hearing others’ thoughts and insights.
-
velvetgeekGreat companion podcast that goes beyond......the show, exploring ethics in technology. No, this isn't a typical “recap” podcast. Instead this podcast goes deeper into questions raised by the show. Featuring interviews with creators of the show as well as today’s leading experts in AI and ethics. Hosted by the amazing Holly Frey! 😀 👍👍👍👍👍

FrankAllen1123Refreshing take on the companion podLOVE the TV series, which is like a cross between Westworld and GoT. So I was very excited to check out the companion pod. Totally different approach than most take...and it’s awesome. Instead of just talking about what happened in the most recent show eps, it actually gives you something entirely new to think about, via exploration of the real life scientific concepts portrayed in the show. Still has chats with Aaron (show writer / creator) to explain some of the creative choices, but it goes so much deeper, which I appreciate.

Nealw30Not quite what I was looking forI was hoping this podcast was going to be a more deep dive into the show. Instead it’s a discussion about ideas relating to the show. It’s very interesting and educational however I wanted more information about what’s going on in the show, analyzing why the androids made the choices they did, why the religious zealots did what they did, etc.
-
MyrrhdusaI had high expectations.....and they were exceeded! I had hoped for a deep dive podcast after watching the show, something that pondered the character motivations regarding religion vs. tech, and speculated on the next episode. What I got was an amazing and thought provoking discussion on the present and future of A.I., the possibilities, limitations and dynamics of not only robotics but their interactivity with humans. I cannot stop thinking about the scenarios that were discussed and I’m eager to see how this podcast and the show develop. I was already a big Holly Frey fan from the Stuff You Missed in History Class podcast and this is a huge addition to my admiration. Holly asks perfect questions and is able to somehow simultaneously allow her guests to shine in their own light. Definitely recommended!
-
AlfievwIt’s not about the show! More like a TED talkI subscribed to the show expecting it to be in the vein of HBO’S podcasts about Watchmen, or Lovecraft Chronicles, etc. The raised by wolves podcast is instead more like a TED talk about the the technology that will one day make the world in the show possible. It seems well scripted, and the interviewer asks interesting questions but I was looking for a show that looked more at the story of Raised by wolves, and the production than the actual topic they wanted to explore.

Robbie RFExcellent companion to the showHave loved the TV series thus far, and the companion podcast doesn’t disappoint. Rather than those companions that merely summarize or discuss plot points, this pod dives deeper into the scientific themes from the show, which I genuinely appreciate as a tech geek. Also love that the creator of the show is interviewed, too. Looking forward to more eps.
