BrindaviGreat Bond ReviewsI’ve read the books and watched all the movies. James and Alex’s opinions and critiques are very similar to mine. And I’m almost always laughing. It’s like having a fun debate with your Bond fan friends. Love it!

Roi5Clever, thought-provoking, and hilariousAlex and James surpass any other Bond-themed podcast or book. In their spare time, they have produced commentaries almost as long as the films themselves. And you will want to hear every minute. Of the most popular podcasts about cinema history, “Bond and Beyond” reaches the perfect mix of gravity, criticism, and fun. “Bond and Beyond” explores the series in context: from sexist and redundant plot lines to action and espionage that reflect the modern world. They have chronicled Bond’s evolution from a snarky sexual predator to a solemn but smart superhero. Alex and James pay close attention to music, and how it has enhanced—or sometimes detracted—from the action. Their humour is especially noteworthy when it comes to absurd scenes, such as Bond’s magical ability to find Miss Taro’s house with curiously voiced-over instructions or James’ rendition of Countess Lippy’s French accent (“James, that coffin has your initials!”) My only regret is that there are a finite number of Bond films. Alex and James will need to explore new avenues for their podcast talent.
