My Favorite Murder is a true crime comedy podcast hosted by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark. Each week, Karen and Georgia share compelling true crimes and hometown stories from friends and listeners.

Since MFM launched in January of 2016, Karen and Georgia have shared their lifelong interest in true crime and have covered stories of infamous serial killers like the Night Stalker, mysterious cold cases, captivating cults, incredible survivor stories and important events from history like the Tulsa race massacre of 1921.

Behind the Mask

Love your podcast and apparently your theme song. At the grocery store I was singing (maybe a little to loud) “My Favorite Murder” from behind my mask 😷 Cuz with it on know one can see you moving your lips as you groove on down the aisle. Got a weird side glance from this concerned looking lady. I smiled back at her but of course she couldn’t see it cuz of the mask 😷 !!!! SS and …. Thanks again for your great podcast. I’ve been here since the beginning! My best memory is having My Favorite Murder in my ears while I walked in the dark to campus to complete my masters program that led me to become a forensic chemist to protect wildlife. I cried, laughed and felt a part of a bigger community with MFM. I hope to become closer to the community when I can soon in the future. Thanks Karen and Georgia! And please do more Rewinds! The company and inspiration I needed

These queens have a way about them, it’s charisma, it’s grace, it’s true compassion, and they truly know how to colorfully, while gently deliver and discuss the details of these terrible cases. They are respectful and funny and genuine. They’re my comfort show every chance I get. My Mom was an OG Murderino too and she unfortunately died too soon shortly after becoming a mother myself. I miss her, and my dad, every single day and these ladies make me feel less alone, as I know she would have loved them. Their familiar sense of humor brings me comfort I need. Their humility and success and friendship/love of one another, and the Murderino community, is incredibly inspiring. I am just so grateful to have been introduced to MFM by a great hair client of mine 😍, and so thankful for how the connection of which has bonded us. Saving my old brain

I started listening after retiring, and I have to say that I love these two hosts! Karen and Georgia have kept my analytical thinking alive while telling stories of others’ unfortunate deaths. (And adventures, and sink holes, and traayysure!) I love both the long form reports and the Fan Cult stories in the Monday Minisodes. Excellent researchers, too. Listening to the whole back catalog in order, you can hear how the professionalism and personal content have grown over time, and makes you appreciate the work these two and their crew have been doing. I look forward to each Monday’s and Thursday’s episodes, and I get lots of good feedback on my “You’re in a cult, call your dad” baseball shirt whenever I wear it. Changed my life

I’ve been listening for 8 1/2 years now and had no idea how much I love true crime, I often pick up some of the other podcast recommendations and books they mention. They may have not have know what they were in for in the beginning but listening to them and these stories changed my life. This show is my comfort show, I have listened through the series twice.

MFM was the first podcast I started listening to faithfully many years ago. Listening to Georgia and Karen helped me keep my sanity during the pandemic, and beyond. Hauntingly the best

Absolutely love them. Karen and Georgia compliment each other perfectly and openly discuss mental health struggles. They normalize the things that give the average person anxiety to help you feel at ease. Oh yeah, they do all this while discussing murders.
