    BlueAnon Conspiracy Theories
MTG finance content is quality, but the political conspiracy theories are getting old. There are plenty of valid criticisms of Trump, but harping about the widely discredited Steele dossier positing that Trump is a Russian asset is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and leave the BlueAnon echo chamber every once in a while.

Shows sells premium member , charges for weeks then bans
I was a seller enjoying the cast, until i shot a DM from James achilcott saying that the card i posted (and was allowed to post in the premium service they sell here on apple)z Not long after that i was confronted about my sale item (that was ripped from a pack no less lolz) as given barely anytime to reply before being banned, unable to defend my self and i was even chastised and spoken down to like a second class citizen because my ego isn’t as big as James Chilcotts.. Avoid this know it’s all who has some kinda syndrome where he has to lash out and not even aloe me a cogent response, just banned right away as if he runs a dictatorship… 10000a% unprofessional. I let James know a new loupe was in the mail and i happily took down the adsZ he still banned me right away and i couldn’t even defend my self personally without James amChilxott getting butthurt that i even defended my selfZ Grow up please mtg fast finance

James never lets anyone finish a sentence
Been listening for a while, and have finally gotten to the point where i just can’t handle it anymore. James interrupts Travis constantly, never letting him finish a sentence or thought. Lately he’s been doing it to guests too. The content is pretty good for magic finance, but i am just so utterly put off by the constant rude behavior of the primary host. Was comforted to see just how many other people below have noticed and voiced the same complaint, but clearly the feedback has not been taken.

    Blindfolded Bullseyes
Blackborderedlifestyle below said it best: like listening to a pair of blindfolded dartboard players brag about the number of bullseyes they got as the darts hit more ceilings and floors than walls. Fun sometimes to listen to. Good info to know which way the amateurs are leaning to best take advantage of the fake speculator movement and sell into their self-generated hype. Don’t listen for actual good mtg finance advise, but to understand what their community is likely to speculate on next. Throw good money after bad and pay for their PoorTrader access if you like to hear more self-congratulations, broken tools that will never work (Coming Q4!), and echo chamber talk vying for favorite lap dog status and an atta-boy from the Great Leader. Search another 5-minutes and you’ll find MTG finance communities that actually make money and contain valuable tools and voices.

    Yikes
I haven’t been listening for years but the 4-5 episodes I have managed to listen to came off as one host making illogical ramblings completely based on what he PERSONALLY likes and does not like. He’s the nasally one I can’t remember their names unfortunately. The other host was fine but got talked over and didn’t get listened to. They talked for 45 mins where host A (nose boy) misunderstood host B (gud boy) even after host A explained a simple idea 4 different ways. Really frustrating can’t say if recommend it to anyone

    Informational and Entertaining
I’ve been listening to this show since 2017 and subscribe to the pro trader service. It might not be for everyone, especially if hearing other people’s perspective on things outside of MTG finance offends you. Yes, James is very confident about himself. Yes, Travis is a grum, but the more you listen the more you learn that’s them being their genuine selves. This isn’t an overproduced watered down news show. It’s good financial information backed with a thriving community. I’ve made plenty of money listening to their assessment and advice every week. Enough to justify the cost of getting this info early through pro trader. Be smart, listen to their advice and take the one you think is best each week and you’ll be fine.

    Wow... politics even here...
Really? Completely biased political views without any real discourse on an MTG show?

Great podcast for anyone at all interested in the MTG finance world.
I love this show! These guys take MTG finance to the next level! I’ve learned a ton about all aspects of MTG finance, playability, supply and demand, supply chain issues, reprint risks, summer vs fall sets in regards to how many cards get into the market. I’ve learned tons. I haven’t picked up all the “cards to watch” but many of the ones I have are worth twice what I payed for them. Before I listened to this show I was throwing money at cards and hoping for the best. Now I’ve learned enough to the point that I can truly invest in this game and I’ve gotten to the level that my speculations can make up for that stack of pre-ban Okos I bought last year! I rather enjoy the discussion on social issues too. Thanks for making this great podcast!

    Valuable, but cringeworthy
I really tried to give this one a chance, but halfway through a two-hour-plus episode, I had to move on. One host appears caught up in social issues outside of the show. The other has neither the ability nor empathic fortitude to provide his co-host with considerate corrections, whenever misspoken. This co-host comes off as pretentious and chronically contrarian. Seems hard for this guy to agree with anything his partner has to say. I think these two would benefit from an informational-focused, news-style podcast, rather than a talk show. You can’t have a meaningful conversation when it sounds like one individual is out to best his partner at almost every point of the discussion.

    Useful info, and good banter
Entertaining, and useful info. I’ve gotten a number of cards for my EDH decks at great prices listening to these guys. Quality of production is great too, with crisp, clear sound. They are also outspoken supporters of equality and justice, and I appreciate them using their platform to further the cause.

    😕
If you get past the egos and the “who can be more woke” ignorance, at least they talk about magic *some* of the time.
  • soopertroopwr
Too much socialist talk, James seems to reflect any criticism
Stop pushing your own agendas and beliefs. This is MTG Finance. James appears incapable of doing or saying anything wrong...at least according to him.

    Annoyed MTG
For the love of God James let Travis speak or hey I don’t know actually listen when he does.

    Con Artists of MTG Finance
As a stern warning, NEVER pay to join their Discord, and think heavily before going into their picks. A lot of people have been banned from their Discord channel after paying, and they refuse to provide refunds. As for the cards they encourage to buy, they don’t buy them themselves. They only want to manipulate the people who listen. Stay away. You’d have better luck going on Reddit than taking advice from the likes of James Chilcott.

    Stole my money.
Unstable leader stole $70 from me then blocked me. He needs professional help.

    Great podcast
I really like this podcast. Sounds great and the hosts speak clearly with thought behind their ideas.

    I mostly like this podcast
A couple of guys who talk about finance, making money, and are sometimes condescending about magic players who don’t have much money. You’d think that they would have a better quality podcast. I listen to podcasts all day and I get frustrated because this one has poor sound quality. How can you trust what these guys are saying about money? Spend some money on mics already.

It’s like an audio version of mtgstocks, but with humble brags.
James loves the sound of his own voice. Tune in as two dudes try to figure out why cards spiked on cast as opposed to before they record. After giving up on finding out why they just always assume that “must be some commander thing” as they only reference the bottomless pit of posted commander decks. I’m not sure what’s funnier: the fact that Todd Stevens literally shot down all of James’s unplayable picks for guilds of ravnica into an awkward silence, or the fact that Travis is embarrassed that he’s even associated with the game though it’s obviously what he spends the most time on.

Worth giving a listen to, well done podcast
Good insights both on individual cards, but also magic finance as a whole. This also comes with hosts being fun to listen to. I’m digging it!
  • ddraholic
    Very Informative
Two guys who are very knowledgeable about Magic. They will inform you on some well-positioned cards to buy, and share their view on Magic news. Travis also does Cartel Aristocrats if you enjoy this one.
  • Blackborderedlifestyle
    Most cringe podcast ever
Poor to mediocre advice, overloaded with pretentious brags and claims. Often incorrect about their finance information and understanding of the game and cards use within formats. Imagine listening to two washed up old guys throwing darts at a dartboard blindfolded, telling you how many bulls eyes they have hit as darts land on the floor and in the ceiling. They rag on eternal formats like bitter children and try and push their spec formats like frontier (garbage). This cast is for amateurs that don't know any better. F

    Great Podcast!!!
This is a great podcast for those interested in mtg investing. The guys do a great recap of the price increases and give actionable advice for cards they think will go up in value.
  • Gargoyle Man
    Bosh!
    The best in mtg podcasting.

Direct and to the point show about MTG Finance
As someone who follows MTG Finance very casually- using it to try to jump on a playset of a card I might want to use before it spikes- this show is perfect for me. It's about 45 minutes, which makes it great to listen to at the Gym in one go, and there is almost no filler or banter- just great observations and discussions on MTG Finance. Keep it up, James and Travis!
