I listen to as many of your podcasts as I can every week. My favorite is the Thursday mail bag podcast. There’s always great questions and the staff does a really good job of answering them. I like listening to your learned opinions. Keep up the great work! Steve in Richmond

I’ve listened to many podcasts over the years that cover a variety of subjects. The result is a standard that’s likely higher than the average listener of a college sports focused show. The opinions provided are from a few journalists that have covered the Vols for many years, but the senior writer (and pack leader) is clearly Brent Hubbs. The name could be less familiar than his voice, which can be heard via the University’s official Vol’s Radio Show on game days. This podcast is a good mix of opinions, current data and both current & historical facts. In addition, it’s both entertaining & educational in many regards. The group are clearly more than just colleagues, so there’s a humor that sometimes feels like a bit too much inside baseball (Andy Griffith references), but overall it’s fun while still being informative. As with any podcast that features “sports writers,” I’ve found the mix of their knowledge about football varies from average to good. They’re both critical and supportive of the Vol’s efforts while providing explanations for those opinions. One of several things I enjoy about the show is their coverage of recruiting. Several of the writers featured on the podcast travel the country tracking the progress with high school recruits. The most knowledgeable of the group is Matt Ray for certain. He travels weekly and provides details from individual interviews with the actual recruits and their inner circle. If you’re seeking a show that provides a sports theme while being delivered in an entertaining way, then this is a great podcast for you.

Been listening for years. Unfollowing as of today. Won’t help support anything running ad campaigns for Kamala Harris.

Listening to these guys recite old Andy Griffith episodes is nauseating. Ramey is the only positive on the show. Hubbs carries water as a Vol Network employee. He has been nothing but a jock sniffer his entire life.

It’s a pretty poor take to functionally hand wave away the terrible officiating during the Alabama game this past weekend. The line about no one addressing the SEC commissioner about the garbage level of officiating is particularly weak. Part of the reason these issues with the officials persist is no public accountability, and in this broadcasters/journalists play a key role. Do better.

Number one source for all things Vols.

This crew is talking about nfl combine crap in March when we are in March Madness! Basketball always takes a back seat. This podcast spends so much time talking about esoteric football non-play, it’s so annoying. Always football, which would be fine DURING FOOTBALL SEASON…

With 5 vols drafted in 22, and potentially 7 drafted in 23…what vols to expect to step up and be draft candidates for the 24 year? Over/under set at 6.5?

Really enjoy the podcast.. but there is a phone that is constantly buzzing/ringing/going off in some fashion in EVERY episode. It’s really annoying and unprofessional.

This is my top podcast for everything VOLS.

This has become my go-to podcast for news on The Big Orange. Veteran group with great coverage and realistic takes on the Vols. While not perfect, the production value continues to increase. The insight and inside info you get from a group that has been around the program for years far outweighs this minor issue. Overall great podcast.

Don’t turn this podcast into that lockedin crap. Just ask questions and get answers, no clips and crap.

I absolutely love listening to you guys and wished y’all release more frequent podcasts, but awesome job guys! I’ve listened for a long time now, and always look forward to my Tuesday and Thursday mailroom podcasts! Big weekend this weekend, can’t wait to hear how the recruiting went!

Love the podcast, fellas. I respect the way y’all cover Tennessee. The only thing I would like to see is a longer podcast. It feels rushed sometimes to stay under a specific time limit. I think a lot of listeners would be okay with podcasts closer to an hour to hear y’all discuss stuff more in depth.

I enjoy the podcast. Brent and Austin are clear crisp and a good volume. Rob’s voice is covered, muddy and a lower volume. I find myself raising and lowering the volume throughout each episode.

Love the content. Only thing I’d say is that Austin says “you know” more than anyone I’ve ever heard. Bruh please try to refrain from using that all of the time.

These 3 are the voices I trust and listen to the most in Tennessee media. They aren’t worried about being first to report a story, they’re just worried about reporting what’s in front of them.

I love listening to these guys. Great information and insight on Tennessee Vol sports, especially football. Their podcasts are a good length but with all of their inside information and opinions, it could definitely be a little longer and it wouldn’t take away from anything. I would love to hear them more than twice a week but I’ll take whatever I can get.

Easily my favorite UT podcast. Would really enjoy 3 or 4 episodes/week.

Great information but Rob’s volume needs to be turned up. When they’re all in the studio, you can tell some sit far from the mic.

Best on the Vols beat. Slight complaint that audio is not always perfect on the podcast, but that’s a minor complaint.

Most reliable source for Vol football. Hubbs is a Tennessee treasure. AP is good at his job. 4 stars because of the lack of diversity on the staff. No former players and all white people. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Thanks for yesterday’s Podcast about the 1992 TN vs FL “rain game”. What a fun idea from your team! Last night we pulled the game up on YouTube and watched. Helped give me a sports fix during this crazy time.

Always enjoy the show and especially Brent Hubbs. The only complaint is that sound levels are HIGHLY variable, from barely audible to ear splitting and I’m constantly having to change volume on my device. Not sure if that’s mic placement or some participants getting a little overly excitable but that sure needs improvement.

Y’all are the best reporters in our market but could step up the audio quality, phones dinging etc

The best VOLS podcast on the market. Brett, Austin, Rob and Jesse bring great insight into the UT Athletic Department. They are great at sharing the news and the news behind the news. Very informative and great dynamic between the four of them. I look forward to listening to it every week!

Very good podcast. Only thing I would adjust is sometimes Rob talks very quietly and it’s hard to hear his observations, so maybe his voice needs to be closer to the mic. Other than that, it’s awesome.

Always something funny going on around the UT sports programs and these guys know it all. Great information all parts of the year. Well worth the time.

Only critique wouldn’t really be much of a critique, it would be I wish they went longer around 45 minutes or so. I throughly look forward to the podcasts on Monday’s and Friday’s they go in great depth compared to others who cover the vols not to knock other guys. They give awesome insight to recruiting in both sports and it never disappoints! Make the podcast longer please great job guys! No paper 4 stars only 5 for these dudes.

One of my favorite Vols podcast! These guys know their Vols sports. I agree with others fans of the show the volume quality is a little all over the place. Only “compliant” is the time of day the upload the Friday podcasts. I work early in the mornings and would love to listen to it at work. Keep up the great work guys. Really enjoy your podcast.

Always great content but it should be free across all networks I.e. internet!
