YayBA!Not BrokenI just got diagnosed with ADHD at age 56. I’ve lived a private double life for decades and am exhausted, but the diagnosis means I am not broken and podcasts like this help me realize it’s been a super power. Now I can focus (ha!) on methods to remove the “exhausted” parts of my daily life. I am not broken, I will be whole, and this podcast is inspiring!

JimmyT73Just found this amazing podcast!!I’m a little late to this Podcast. But I’m used to being late… It’s fast and provides good information and examples about how to be successful as an adult with ADHD. It is a superpower not a curse. You just need to learn how to use it. I’m only 27 episodes in and I’m hooked. Time to hyper focus!!!

Ctj25Changing my lifeI didn’t know what was wrong with me, but I knew that I couldn’t imagine living the rest of my life like this. I was re-diagnosed at 38 (after being diagnosed at age 9 and parents didn’t tell me). This podcast has helped my mindset tremendously and has given me so many good tips to manage this diagnosis. Running my own business has been an incredible challenge, but am working day to day to implement strategies that I’ve heard on this podcast and it’s helping tremendously!

C-DoggThe podcast I wish I would have started.Being one of the OPs (original podcasters) I know a good podcast, a great podcast idea, and an excellent host. This show has them all. Having listened to or created tens of thousands of shows, this is the one I completely wish I would have thought of and started. I’m 3/4 of the way through binging them all and still can’t wait fir the next one.

PinkiePieIsmySoulSisterBEST PODCAST EVER!I grew up knowing I was a good person. I wasn’t sure on how to show/tell people about my ADHD. After finding this podcast I found the strength to just come out and say it. I credit Peter for being such a motivational person to show not only how awesome of a tribe of people we are! He is now letting the world know how amazing the Faster Then Normal brain is.

jjwildeThis Podcast Combats ADHD Barriers & StigmaI found this podcast when I was struggling to see myself positively and my shame of having ADHD was taking a huge hold on me. Love the interviews Peter has conducted and how positive they’ve been. It’s made me feel more than capable of achieving the goals I’ve set. Thank you!

TYMENKELife ChangingAs someone who was diagnosed late in life, finding the FTN book and podcast was life altering. Imagine going your whole life thinking you just couldn’t learn and retain info. You were broken. Then finding a reason behind all that helps but it doesn’t fix the root cause or issue. Learning to look at it as a gift is a mindset shift that will change everything for the positive. Peter was the first guy I’d ever heard talk about and look at Neurodiversity as a gift. Understanding that, he then leads you down a path of tips, tricks, and habits to supercharge your new found power!

grantast#1 ADD and ADHD podcast you’ll find anywhereI’ve been listening to Peter’s show since the beginning and have rare missed an episode. Things I enjoy most about it are: 1) Compact timing for a substantial interview, staying usually within the 20-35 minute zone (so I can get other things done). 2) Diversity of guests who have amazing stories, and are pretty good storytellers, and; 3) The Shank-man, himself! Peter is an inspirational and motivational force that will help you overcome the stigma and treat ADD and ADHD as a gift, not a curse. (You’ll learn from this show the many ways to unwrap that gift as well!) I also recommend this show for spouses and close relatives of someone with ADD/HD.

Mathu80ADHD is not a weakness, it’s a superpower that can be controlled.Fellow ADHD “sufferers” (not the right word): I am really enjoying this podcast series from Peter Shankman. It’s about learning to drive our brains and how to take full advantage of our different wiring. Each episode reminds me of the endless possibilities — what can be achieved when we harness our creativity properly! That’s no easy task. For me, it’s also a really good reminder that much of the criticism and negative feedback we’ve received our entire lives, no matter how well intentioned, isn’t about a personal failing or weakness or lack of self-control. We just function differently and, ultimately, that’s a positive thing. Give it a listen. 🎧

theladyhamletJaw-dropping momentsWhen my son was diagnosed ADD, I realized that I probably was, too! A friend recommended Peter Shankman and this podcast, and I've been binging it nonstop ever since. At least once an episode, my jaw will drop, realizing that other people behave the way I do! It's helping me so much!

macguy1401I’m mad I didn’t find this podcast soonerQuick background on me. As a 26 year old individual who was diagnosed with ADD in the second grade, I’ve struggled for years with coping and just trying to understand how to make the best of my ADD in my day to day life. I recently made the decision to embrace it and get off of the medication (slowly but surely). In my quest to further understand my ADD and how to develop skills to help with it, I came across this podcast. I can’t begin to explain how much this podcast has changed my life as well as my view of my ADD. It’s a gift not a curse! I just didn’t know how to best utilize it. In just a short period of listening, I’ve already connected with what guests have had to say on the show. I’ve begun to learn coping skills. I’m mad I didn’t take this plunger earlier in life, but I am so glad that I did find it. It’s been a game changer for me! I’m hooked!

JoshuaFrith2.0Life changingI’ve probably written three reviews total in my life. I always mean to but never seem to remember...but now I know why. I started listening to this podcast on an 800+ mile road trip, I listened to a few episodes and then to the audiobook before I reached my destination. I cried a lot. I’m 29. I’ve struggled endlessly with ADHD and I had no idea. While I was out visiting friends and family my months long brain fog started lifting and the wheels started turning on what I needed to do when I got back home. On the drive home I used Siri to dictate notes and make lists, and when I got home that next morning I was out of bed at 6am (4-6 hours earlier than normal), and started taking on the task of eating the elephant one bite at a time. I cleaned my apartment, I threw stuff out, I got a computer(always was meaning to, just got too overwhelmed by the process and I couldn’t decide what to get and I’d walk out of the store with a new soundbar or an Apple watch or something totally different), and I made a google calendar. I scheduled all the writing and researching, reading, and working out I wanted to do but could never seem to focus on. I’m on day 3 of this new life of managing what I now know is ADHD and I have never felt this clear. It’s weird. I feel calm and relaxed but I’m constantly busy and engaged. Shouldn’t I be worn out? In addition to other things I have already learned and tried, Peter Shankman and guests have given me the tools to be my best. His positivity about ADHD and his simple solutions to handle the negative aspects make me feel confident that I can manage brain, and it’s equally important to me that I don’t feel like a loser, or an idiot, or that there is something seriously wrong with me. This is a gift. Thanks for helping me get my life back. I hope with one on one support of my long term therapist, some friends, and this podcast that I can maintain the happiness and contentment I pieced together during those 1600 miles on the road listening to you. Thank you for giving back!
-
Russell77Insightful interview with MarvinI just discovered this podcast. Parents and teachers need to listen to successful people gifted with ADHD and how they cope with the rest of us who can’t keep up with them.
-
Amy VanSlamWow! Best ever interview with Tony RobbinsPeter Shankman you are always terrific and this interview was the best ever - you were truly in your element and he gave such inspiration and encouragement as always! Definitely a must listen over and over again.

NeilsappreviewOne is a lonely numberFor me, the hardest part of having a DVD was feeling bad I didn’t fit in, something was wrong with me, I was broken. Peter‘s book and podcast not only gave me strategies for managing and excelling with my super power but also the community that understood what I was going through. Not lonely anymore.

Mall ShopperOne of Us, One of Us, Gabba Gabba HeyThe hardest thing about having ADD or being a parent of an ADD/ADHD child is the feeling of isolation. This amazing podcast brings together people of all walks of life to share how they are using their faster than normal brain to make the most of their lives. It is a great reminder that ADD is a gift not a diagnoses.
-
JulieP54Love Peter Shankman and his guests. This podcast is amazing. I have been listening for about 4 months now. I was diagnosed with ADHD in May so this has been a godsend to help me learn about myself and how to manage my ADHD. There are so many amazing people and stories and I learn something new every time I listen. I have also listened to many episodes several times and now I am working my way through backwards to the very first one. ❤️❤️ Thank you Peter for doing this. You Rock!!
-

curious introvertAn Amazing Diverse PodcastEver since I got diagnosed with ADD this year, this podcast has been one of my go to resources to learn about how different people make the most out of their ADHD and strategies on how they coped with the downsides. I would suggest you start with the episode with Seth Godin!
-
Scott esqThank You, Peter ShankmanThis podcast is perfect for ADHD adults like myself. Every episode leaves me with a renewed sense of optimism and a belief that, despite all my flaws, I have the ability to accomplish great things.
-
Warms8Awesome!Wonderful resource. Already cemented what I knew and gave me so much more. I am a teacher with ADHD and have a wife that is not. Love this podcast.
-
aleste16Changed my viewI just have to say that this podcast is a real blessing from God. I have a young son who is in the process of getting a diagnosis and listening to the 100 episode, brought tears, laughter and hope to my soul. I’m so happy I listened...😊. Thanks so much!!!
-
Brezo11Life changingI started listening to this while working an unchallenging job, having just graduated from college without many prospects for a job without grad school. I was feeling really low about myself and like I’d made every mistake and my life was spinning out of control... And then I found this podcast and I can tell you that this is changing my life one episode at a time. I feel inspired, like I can take control of my life back from my ADD and live a better, more successful life. Thank you so much for this podcast!
-
momemojoFascinating self revealGreat stuff- I listen with my husband and son sometimes. We all share different traits of this superpower and it is helpful to have this show to create a much needed dialogue.
-
Aaron SchleinThe podcast I’ve been waiting for my whole life! This podcast is absolutely remarkable! I am an adult with ADHD, and I wish I had this podcast as a kid (there were no podcasts when I was a kid...). Peter Shankman’s voice offers a source of optimism and hope for those of us blessed with an ADHD brain.
-
shanebaileyEvery episode has helped with awesome tipsThis is one of my favorite podcasts. The only problem is that I like to listen while I drive, so I’m always interrupting the show by having Siri give me reminders to take action on the great tips and systems and mindsets presented. If you have add/adhd, love someone with it or just want to better understand people you work with that have it you’ve got to listen.
-
La de da la LaurenYes! Hyper-focused on this podcastFirst off, thank you. I feel like I am gaining the community I never knew I had and never knew I needed. Lots of great tips and its so helpful to learn how others have thrived with ADD/ADHD.
-
huntkianStrength Based PerspectiveIn a world that touts the importance of ionnovation and divergent thinking, those of us with attentional and learning differences who already possess those innate talents are pardoxically pushed towards the norm and forced to conform. Peter is a needed voice for those of us who see ourselves as different not disordered or disabled.
-
chickefitzPeter Shankman is indeed Faster than NormalThis podcast is so on target. If you don't think it applies to you because you don't have ADHD, I think you will find that if you are faster than normal, e.g. faster than your peers at getting things done, you will absolutely benefit from this podcast. Peter is one of the most impactful entrepreneurs that I have ever met. Read his book Zombie Loyalists to learn more about taking better care of your customers.
-
LWinegarPerfect for this LDS ADHD Entrepreneur MommaFinally a positive spin on this ADHD, I’ve always thought I had a super power! 💪 His podcast is always useful and although I can’t listen to him in double speed, LOL because he already speaks so quickly, I love that they are short and meaty. Listen to one everyday, I hope I don’t run out. 😉
-
Andrew MarottaKeeping up with PETERPeter, thank you so much for this podcast. I never knew I had ADHD until I started listening to the podcast and bought your book faster than normal. You have related so many storiesThat I have been through in my life it has put things into perspective. You have improved my life as a professional, father, and a superhero! Keep up the great work. Great book, great podcast ...squirrel! Andrew Marotta...Author of the Principal: surviving and thriving and creator of the podcast: educational leadership and beyond: surviving and thriving

Bono kanampInteresting butWhat about the rest of us, guys with plain ok ADD, with no “H”? No going to the gym at 5 am, no genius, no faster than usual, just attention deficit?
-
Dave the Systems ConsultantAwesome info!Great information for us multiply-attentioned and ADD folks! It’s been so helpful for me to remember I’m not broken, and my “curse” is really a gift, and how to harness it and use my superpower for good. And even though he speaks a little “faster than normal” I still listen at 1.2X with Smart Speed on in Overcast! That’s Faster Than Normal-squared!!!
-
mp007ADDPositive Burst of Info for Anyone in the ADD CommunityPeter approaches his ADD as a true gift and wants to help others in the ADD community celebrate their or their loved one's ADD. This podcast series is fast paced and information dense, just what those of us who are differently wired need to engage and retain. I also share links to various episodes with those who I think may benefit from understanding me and my teenage son better.
-
jwongxianA Better Than Normal PodcastThere are lots of podcasts out there but this one is becoming one at the top of my list. So inspiring, encouraging and practical. If you have a brain like a racecar engine, you need this podcast in your fuel tank!

The P.O.P.E. (The Princess Of Practically Everything)First three episodes inWow. Oh, wow. Almost in tears. I love thinking of myself as having a super power instead of something being wrong with me. My whole life, I have been “the kid who talks too much.”, my parents told “She would do so much better if she just paid more attention.” My husband told “I have no idea how she makes her grades, she doesn’t listen in class.”! But, here I am. 54 years old, three degrees and an RN that specializes in geriatric care and dementia. Normal be damned. I’ll take ‘outside the box’ every single day. Thanks. I’ll listen to the rest of the podcasts and check back in with another review. Thanks for preaching from my favorite soapbox. You rock.

anozira1LoveI really enjoyed the book, and love the Podcasts. I appreciate hearing others viewpoints, ideas, hacks, etc for living a more productive happy ADHD life.
-
Mad ADHDThank you for showing me I'm not aloneLearned about this on the Glenn Beck program and have been listening ever since. Hearing the hints and the fact that I'm not alone has been a real positive boost. I know now that I 'm just Mr. Douglas in a land of Green Acres. Or as my mother used to say, I'm alright the worlds all wrong. Thanks you Peter for all that you do. You are helping more than you'll ever know.
-
Logo17Deep, insightful, and quick to the pointThis is the one podcast that I found that delivers deep meaningful stories. With zero fluff. Every question that Peter lays out come from a question that he is truly curious about. I rarely hear questions that come out of no where but questions in which Peter is clearly asking because of a byproduct of his deep listening.
-
Bobi Beverlyalways overbookedI have been in search of a leader I can attach myself too that could help me to better understand myself and what seemed to me to be a horrible life sentence of ADHD. even with medication I always seem to overplan my day in an attempt to finish at least one of the many tasks I've written on my to do list. I have been blessed with a very successful cleaning business but have longed to develop a less employee intensive online course as well as the 4 online business ideas I have yet to develop due to stop/start habits and the "squirrel" that always gets in my way I'm loving hearing ideas from like minded individuals with suggestions on how to become a more productive individual as well as learning to turn it off. PS Peter I have over 1,300 skydives. Rated D taught me how to focus 45 seconds at a time

Brendan | StartInPhx.comLife Saver! To the surpise of my loved ones and fiance, I've never been diagnosed ADD or ADHD. Of course, maybe that's because I've never been tested. Diagnosable or not I struggle to focus or to move from task to task on comand. But why get tested when you have Peter? Peter and his guests sprinkle gems of wisdom into my day along with tactics I can put to use immediately to impove my focus and productivity. This show is awesome! It's a true life saver for people like me: people who have a lot to get done and have to work really hard just to focus on the task at hand. Thanks Peter!
