This podcast was invaluable to me as I navigated my reunion and coming out of the fog. I so appreciate everything that Haley has done to advance the voices of adoptees.

A “must listen” for all who are impacted by adoption
This podcast was my first ever podcast and so my first adoption related podcast. I was a few years into deconstruction but this podcast was the catalyst for me to really dig deep and begin real work on my healing. I am not an adoptee. I am a key person and a natural mother to an adoptee. This podcast isn’t even “for” me but listening to adoptees and truly understanding the effects and consequences of this human trafficking system we call adoption - on our children!! was so huge for me. Thank you Haley for always prioritizing adoptee voices and for connecting us all to so much other content through your shared resources. I cannot say enough about how life changing your podcast has been for me. I recommend it regularly.

    Best on the Net
Haley’s podcast is by far one of the most excellent podcasts on my list. I also joined her Patreon because I can’t get enough of it and want all the other perks of the Patreon. As an adoptee, her programming is diverse, touching, meaningful, funny, and most important: helpful in all the smart ways. I’ve made great friends though the network she has developed as well. Such a life-saving and thpattern-thriving resource. THANK YOU!

    Adoptive parent (international kinship)
This is a hard listen sometimes but very eye opening for me as an adoptive parent. I’d say that the biggest help for me has been to constantly ask myself the question—what would this child say to this decision or that decision when she is an adult looking back on her life. She is still very much in trauma brain right now dealing with all the losses she has experienced in her life. I would love to hear other international kinship experiences since I have yet to connect with other families in our situation. Thank you for all the work you put into this podcast and for the straight talk.

More therapy needed for the host
This pod cast while enlightening for some adoptees, focuses too much on the negative. People do their best and then there’s a time to move on. Adoption while can be sad it can also be loving and there is a place for it. You all are stuck

Adoptees On is where I started to get plugged in!
When I first found my adoptee community around seven years ago, one of the first gems I encountered was the Adoptees On Podcast. Because of Haley’s varied adoptee content and her compassionate way of being with her guests, I felt myself coming more and more into my newly found adoptee consciousness. Thank you!

Grateful for the opportunity to learn
As a person who previously wanted to adopt, I am so grateful for the radical honesty and the safe space given to adoptees to express themselves. Additionally, Haley does an excellent job of doing anti-racism work and allowing others to express how their race has played a part in their stories. There are so many amazing things I can say about this podcast, but I will end with saying that this show sincerely saves and changes lives.

I'm so thankful for the blessing of your show that educated me, oriented me and helped heal me as I listened non stop for months. I've shared it with so many others. You have such a thoughtful insightful way of providing so many great resources and insights. Thank you for making all adoptee voices heard!!

    Mixed feelings
As an adult adoptee, in full reunion.. I have mixed feelings about this pod. I have listened for years, but recently have decided to quit. I believe that the hosts and guests on this show are living in deep, deep bitterness. They are not able to move on from the challenging aspects of their lives, and in not moving on, they are not living full lives. It’s sad and hard to listen to. I am completely “out of the fog”, have been through therapy, and am living a full and happy life. I also write online for a prominent adoption website advocating for adoptee rights. Adoption is trauma, however, trauma cannot dictate our lives in every single way. Dwelling on our hardships doesn’t get us anywhere in life. I pray the hosts of this show are able to forgive those who have hurt them, and move on.

    Life changing
Sure, “life changing” may seem a little dramatic but truly…as an adoptee, this podcast has done so much to help me articulate, process, organize, and integrate my feelings. I feel so much relief and camaraderie in hearing that others share my difficult feelings. The guests are all uniquely beautiful and wise. Deep appreciation for this podcast 💛

    A True Gift
This podcast is such a work of love. I have thoroughly enjoyed the exploration of all things adoption from an adoptee-centric lens. It has personally helped me to be more in you h with myself and my own healing & acceptance journey. Plus I have garnered some great resources from listening. Haley also has an incredible voice that carries the content no matter the topic. Very soothing even when what is being discussed is hard. It really moves the adoption conversation forward in an authentic and complex way that matches the coming laxity of the experience.

    Bravo!
Haley has done something really special with this podcast. Excellent guests and topics. So unapologetically for and centered around adoptees. I’m an adoptive parent and I know this show isn’t “for” me, but wow, I’ve learned so much being able to listen to the adoptee perspective.

This podcast has opened my eyes and heart up to the entire subject and world of adoption in such a healing way it’s incredible! I have met other people, had some awesome book suggestions and really can’t say enough at how powerful hearing other stories that are similar to MY story has helped and changed my life! ❤️

    Mind blowing
I discovered Adoptees On about two years ago. I’ve been adopted my whole life but never have I ever had access to a space like this, with a whole community of people who share this unique life experience. The Adoptees On community is supportive, welcoming, and fun; and I always learn something new and helpful from the shows. Adoptees, this show is for you! Can’t say enough good things.

    The podcast I didn’t know I needed
I am NOT a podcast person, but I listen to this one! As an adoptee who had never really thought much about the impact of my adoption on my life, I was turned on to Adoptees On by a friend in similar circumstances. It has been SO HELPFUL to hear the diversity of stories from so many other adoptees out there. Haley is lovely, such a sweet gentle person who can draw out her guests’ stories with such sensitivity. I just love it!!

    Life Changer
Discovering this podcast several years ago changed my life. Prior to the show, I felt alone in my thoughts and feelings as an adoptee. It instantly became my exercise, car ride, shower, and any spare time “music”. I now have community. I feel seen, heard, understood and embraced by fellow adoptees with similar experiences. There’s at least one episode, or 200, that will hit home with any adoptee out there. Forever grateful to Haley and Adoptees On!!

Grateful for adoptee voices being heard
Adoptees On was one of the resources recommended to me when I wrote into my favorite mental health podcast, Pod Therapy. I’m so glad to have found this through them and am now recommending it to adoptees I meet on social media looking for resources. It’s also been a tremendous asset for my husband as well, to help him understand the things I can’t quite language yet. Thank you for the work you do for adoptees!

    Listen to adoptees
If you look for podcasts on adoption, almost all of them center the adoptive or hopeful adoptive parents. This podcast centers on the adoptee, who should be the center of this topic. Turns out we grow up into adults who were adopted as children yet we lack the rights afforded to other adults in that we have no right to our family history, ethnicity, medical history and in many cases our actual birth certificates! The trauma that many (most, if not all) of of us experienced is the only trauma I know of where the victim is told to “be grateful.” This podcast is adoptee-centered and highlights diverse voices. If you know or love an adoptee, please share this podcast with them. Haley Radke is a great host: empathetic, warm and humble. This is hands down my favorite podcast of all time as an adoptee.

Great for anyone thinking about adopting!
I came to this podcast looking to learn more about adoption as someone who might adopt one day. I had always sensed that there was something I didn’t “get”—the narrative I had absorbed about adoption seemed too simple. I’m just a few episodes in and I have learned a TON! This is the real perspective I’d been missing! I feel 10000% more prepared than I did a few days ago and I know I’ve only scratched the surface. Thank you so much to Hailey and everyone who’s sharing their experiences and bringing us all out of the fog.

    Life Changing
If you are adopted or have been touched by adoption, I strongly recommend this podcast. As an adoptee, Haley has opened up my world by having guests & sharing personal stories that show that I’m not alone and that my feelings and voice is valid. I love, love, love this podcast!

    A Lifeline for Adoptees
Many adult adoptees credit Haley Radke for saving their life and giving them hope. I could not agree more! For adoptees or anyone touched by adoption, you will be amazed by her and her guests wisdom, stories, and humor. She is a stand out interviewer, producer, and beautiful and authentic person. It’s not just that adoptees need her. The world needs to learn from her. This is a binge-worthy podcast that will surely impact the world for decades to come.

    I found my tribe!
Finding this podcast has been like finding my people- they speak my language and know my pain. In a world where adoption is seen as the best solution, there is little to no room for adoptees’ voices to express the pain, loneliness and devastation of being relinquished. Haley has created a safe space where the adoptee voice can bravely express all that is lost when a child is taken away from their first mother. These interviews give me a place to feel understood, a place to continue my healing journey, a place to call home. Thank you,Haley, for your commitment to giving adoptees a space to speak our truth!!! Your show has meant everything to me!!

    Adoption Education 101
Haley Radke has spent years cultivating and curating the lived experiences of Adult Adoptees with compassion and grace. In addition to superb production quality, this podcast with its recommended resources fills a crying need for social understanding of the potential life long impacts upon adoptees and their extended families. I’ve lost track of the number of adoptees, family of origin members, adoptive parents and potential adoptive parents who I’ve personally directed to Haley’s work. The vast array of topics from changing adoption practices, to adoption trauma, to transracial and transnational adoption, to reunification and beyond are approached with the sensitivity and nuance they deserve. Haley’s podcast strives to fill gaping holes in the understanding of and advocacy around adoption, particularly in North America. A must resource for anyone whose life has been or might be touched in any way through the institution of adoption.

This podcast is healing and life changing!
As an adoptee that has been coming out of the fog in the looming shadows of rejection, fear, and confusion following the honeymoon stage it was so incredibly healing to have Haley’s podcast. I felt so heard, understood and validated in my experience. It’s been life changing and gets me through my worst days. I am 30 years old and was raised with an adopted father who reunified with his natural family when I was 12 years of age. My father struggled in being able to actively support my curiosity as a child with my birth family as he was never provided the support to discuss his feelings around it. I have watched from the front lines the process of being an adoptee with an adoptee parent. I have also chosen a degree and career path in social work as I wanted my experiences and to be utilized to help others. I now work with adoptees everyday in the foster care system. I am so grateful for this podcast and the healing that it’s provided me personally and professionally as a social worker. Thank you Haley, and please anyone navigating the adoption triad - please listen, it’s life changing to feel validated in our experiences!

The only podcast I choose to subscribe to
The depth of discussion, insight, and compassion Haley and her guests bring to every episode makes this a “must listen” for those touched by adoption. More importantly, it provides a platform especially for adopted people, whose voices are so often ignored by those in the industry, adoptive families, and the world at large.

    Adoptees On is a Lifeline
This podcast has been like a friend to me. When I feel alone in my life, which is often, I listen to one of the episodes and find new ideas, sources of strength, and most of all I know that I belong to a wider community of people who were relinquished. Haley Radke is kind and compassionate and also has a great sense of humor. She is not afraid to ask hard questions, but always does so with deep respect and allows space for the guest to be themselves. Thank you Haley for your courage and creative spirit that makes Adoptees On a lifeline!

    Connection at last!
Haley’s thoughtful, warm approach, well-chosen guests and resource lists make this podcast a must-listen for adoptees and those who love them. Her sense of humor and vulnerability add to the mix. I cannot overstate the impact of finally hearing so many of the experiences and feelings I thought were only in my head reflected in the lives of others. It’s been affirming and inspiring. Endless gratitude to Haley and all those who’ve shared their stories!

Haley Radke is an angel on earth
Adoptees On is an indispensable source of information and sense of community for adopted people. I shudder to think of where I’d still be stuck, had I not found Haley. This should be required education for all adoptive parents, biological parents, and really, anyone touched by adoption.

    A must!
If you have any connection to adoption, know anyone who does, or have interest in social issues, this podcast is a must. These amazing real stories are more addictive than Netflix! Haley is the fun, smart, gentle friend we all wish we had who walks with each guest though their story. Bravo to giving a voice to people who have had to hide their stories—even from themselves—in order to survive. Fascinating.

    So helpful
I am 38 years old, was adopted when I was 3 months old. I feel like I am still just beginning to unpack the trauma from my adoption. So recently, I began some research on the internet to find resources like this. I’m sure I never would have come this far without having children of my own, finding the trauma in seeing their vulnerable tiny selves, and then eventually starting therapy. It’s a long painful journey but it feels good to know why I’ve had a hard time in life. These stories are so helpful and the therapist talking about anger was profound, I related to sooooo many things.

    Question
Your show has been so helpful to me! I an adoptive mom to a five year old little boy. Your show and all of the adoptees that share there stories has helped me know how best to present adoption to my son. He has always known he is adopted and we openly talk about any questions he has about his adoption. I was wondering when you or your guests feel that it is appropriate to let an adoptee know that he/ she has half siblings? I haven’t mentioned this to my son yet because I only recently found out how many half siblings he has and their names. That is all I know about them so far. Any of your thoughts on this would be very helpful. Also thanks to your show I have been putting together a book with all my sons information as I know it to give to him. Also just today I was finally able to get ahold of his medical records from his birth! It was a lot of work but it is done! Thanks for all you do to support adoptees!

    Lifeline out of the fog
I found this podcast after I met both of my biological parents, which led to my crashing out of the fog. This show was exactly what I needed at the time: exposure to other adoptee stories, both like and unlike mine. Real adopted people who have been there, been through every situation you can think of and some you had no idea existed. Adopted people, this show is for you. ❤️ If you were not adopted, but love someone who was, listen with your ears and mind open. You can’t imagine what we’ve been through, but you can learn.
