    One of the BEST
I have spent the last year+ listening to every single “Locked On” podcast for all 30 NBA team. Mike is arguably the best host of all 30 podcasts. Maybe he’s only top 3 depending on what kind of voice you like best. But he’s amazing. He is level headed, optimistic, fact focused, and excellent at what he does. This job is incredibly hard to do and he handles it so well. I love listening to this show and tell everyone I know about it. Top tier.

    This is a podcast review
By far the best daily podcast on the Portland Trailblazers

Use to Listen and now I won’t
I use to be an avid listener to this pod. Unfortunately, Mike limits how his audience can submit questions due to his political priors. As someone who just wants to talk Blazers I can no longer support someone who does not keep his platform open to all of his listeners. Wish I could come back but when you treat loyal members poorly and out in the open well best of luck… ✌️

    Locked on Blazers
Mike does a fantastic job keeping fans interested in a not so great Blazers team. I catch the podcast every morning while getting ready for work. It’s the best way to start my day.

    Good info, style gets old
The constant over the top enthusiasm feels very grating and inauthentic to me. That’s just me though. Mike is smart and knows hoops and gets good guests.

Love this podcast. Mike, you are doing a terrific job. Keep up the good work .

I look forward to it every time!
Mike Richmond is a national treasure! His knowledge of the play on the court is top flight, and his savvy of the business & personnel moves are priceless! A smart fun and humble listen every time! Thanks Mike!

    Unnecessary recaps
Do you really need to dedicate your whole first segment of each episode to an extensive recap of each game? Not to mention the extensive recap of the whole box score and every players stats for that game? I really doubt the kind of fan listening to a daily podcast about the blazers is going to need these recaps. We’re probably watching the games ourselves if not the highlights. Half the podcast is doing these recaps, with a little bit of analysis added on, and way less critical analysis than there should be. DA for example has been a trash player given his salary and there is almost no mention of this. I do not understand why. Can we please just have honest discourse about this?

    Insightful and Fun
I listen to Locked on Blazers every morning as I do my barn chores. I recently switched from consuming news to focusing more on the Blazers and the NBA to maintain my sanity these days. I so appreciate Mike’s insights about the games, the players, the team dynamics, and what to look for in upcoming games. It has made watching the games a lot more interesting and fun. I couldn't wait to hear Mike’s thoughts on our amazing win over the Spurs but alas he must be taking a few days off for the holidays. Sigh… You know something is good when you miss it in the morning.

    DAME TIME IN BOSTON
If the Trail Blazers are looking to rebuild then they are going to want young stars. Jaylen Brown is the perfect fit, with scoot at point sharpe at shooting guard brown at small forward jerami grant at power forward and maybe trade nurkic for a young center. That roster is young and would fit perfectly!❤️🏀

    The Balance Beam
I have been listening to this show for a long time now and Mike is great. He knows his stuff. Lays out his arguments in a very relatable and educating way for the listener. My issue is that the show is constantly trying to balance between being enlightening on the process of how things happen in the NBA and an opinion driven show. Opinions create conflict and there are a lot of sport reporters who do that. Lots of yelling usually occurs. It feels the show needs a co-host. Someone to balance Mike out. To challenge his thoughts on the process. Mike doesn’t want to lean one way or the other so give him someone who does and have Mike have to reel that view back in. The show needs some new spice and there just isn’t that many interviews with guests.

    Quality + Quantity
It’s impressive Mike is able to keep things interesting 5 days a week (yes people, he takes a weekend; labor laws still apply to podcasters). His takes are solid and he shares insights into basketball without getting too deep into the d’a and o’s so it stays digestible for the casual fan. I like his balance of journalistic objectivity (fully rejecting collective pronouns) with a genuine appreciation for basketball, and even if the jokes can be corny at times he’s a new dad so let him cook. Hold onto your joy, y’all.

Best Pod for the Trail Blazers news
The man is a little emotional with his takes. Kinda’ mid. Unremarkable and not compelling. Wish there was a co-host. As usual you’re going to get super loud ads compared to the rest of the podcast because it’s locked on. Boring and unoriginal overall.

5 days a week dose not equal every day.
It’s a good blazer podcast but I can’t trust Mike because he lies every opening. I wake up on the weekends excepting a podcast but alas no podcast. It’s like a 7-Eleven that’s closed on the weekend.

    Must listen for blazers fans
Mike is doing the good work on the DAILY. Good insight. Not a homer but loves ball so it’s a great balance. Really essential.

    Just Getting Better
Not everyone can host a podcast on their own and do it well. It’s a talent. Mike is really good at it and getting better. You can tell he puts in the time. His analysis is keen, honest, and insightful. He’s not a fan boy or cheerleader. One of the better Locked On pods.

    This dude works!!!
This guy is a past first point guard and he takes that to all aspects of his life. He passes on his days and his time so that we can have a podcast five days a week. Not only that but all today July 1, 2022 the man put out two podcast for us because there was so much news. ❤️❤️❤️

    Continued Excellence
Mike tells it like it is, even when it’s painful. It is always my very first podcast to listen to daily even though I now subscribe to 2 other Blazer-oriented podcasts as well as some newsy podcasts. Keep up the great work!!
  • JC Hobo
    My preferred Blazers podcast
While not the most polished and produced, I think host Mike Richman has a very likable persona and has so far never annoyed me, something not many blazers podcast hosts can claim. He dives deep on everything from the foundational to the periphery, as daily podcasters are wont to do, but he weights his topics appropriately. He openly admits that he isn’t a “fan” which allows his analysis and opinions to come across clearly without any real emotional urgency, which just seems correct for sports.

Sure, Mike is a big time radical liberal. But if you can tune that stuff out he has the most insightful Blazers podcast out there. Really great content.

    Simply the best
He’s the wilsonville Toyota of podcasts… no bull Mike doesn’t mess around and will call it how it is. He loves the game and is incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of it. Mike will make you laugh, he will make you think, and he’ll make you cry with the blazers fandom stories on Friday’s. I wish I found this podcast sooner

    My Go-To Blazer Podcast
Mike has consistently good content. Also he is on Greenroom once a week talking Blazers. I appreciate the Audio quality. I like the guests he gets that other pods don’t seem to get. I have a hard time listening to other Blazer-only podcasts. Mike is a cut above for me, personally.

Honest, accurate, unbiased insight- like chatting with a friend
I have a job that consumes most my life and the Blazers are my escape from thinking about work. Every single weekday I look forward to hearing Mikes thoughts on what is going on with the team because whether it’s what I expected (or wanted) to hear or not, it is always honest and insightful. With no one else in around me caring at all about this team, this podcast feels like my one opportunity to chat Blazers with a friend. Thank you Mike!
  • Kennypowers13
Fun, honest podcast for serious Blazers fans
This podcast is my go-to podcast for Blazers info. Mike Richman has a great feel for the team and the NBA in general. He talks about the good and the bad, so probably not suitable for rah-rah only fans. Podcast is usually 20 minutes long or so, which is perfect for a work commute.
  • Brods15
    At a time like this
In all seriousness, I’ve been a long time listener but I’ve appreciated Mike’s coverage especially in the last few weeks. Blazers-land is questionable right now, Locked On Blazers has help me digest a lot of it. Thanks, Mike.

    Growth in America is needed
Chauncey’s past went to court it was dropped and settled, he was a kid and black men are never allowed to evolve as a human. Where is there any room for growth in America. Allen Iverson went to jail for assault with no evidence almost called him his life but he grew into a man, father, & amazing basketball player.

Solid, intelligent Blazers podcast - don’t miss this one
I know the game but have only been in Portland for four years so don’t know Blazers history as well as many other local fans. Mike Richman’s podcast struck me as being on an entirely different level, and then I learned he had been a beat reporter until his position was trimmed. His professional level of journalism REALLY stands out - you get all the elements you need to understand what’s going on, but he has the gift of making it both interesting AND entertaining while examining and discussing the dynamics and intricacies of both the sport and the business - and don’t ever forget how intertwined those two elements are. Now that I’ve discovered Mike’s podcast, I never miss it - he makes something I’m interested in really entertaining, including during the offseason. Well worth your time.
