Charles GerasimekIncredibly factual Tec review show, lots of fun too.I have listened to Davindra on his other podcast “Filmcast podcast” where he is hysterical. It’s fun to see him on a serious show, however he takes Engadget to the next level.
-
franklyn_plannerMore Political nonsense.Came to listen about PS5 Pro review and got 4 minutes of why the hosts’ 6 year-of daughter was upset Trump won the election. A six year-old’s viewpoint on the political landscape. Same as Verge. The fact that Trump won this election with all the negative press just shows how bad an opponent Harris was.

Goalier95Good content except for…Cherlynn’s voice. I’m sure she’s proficient at reporting new tech news but they need to lower her levels when she talks. She goes from normal tone to an annoying teenage voice that goes too high and too fast which i cannot stand. Davindra is very good and rest of the podcast Crew but please giving her the mic.

[ * ]Love it!Love this podcast! Keep making this

Super-PaulGreat for both hot & spicy takesI’ve thoroughly enjoyed having Devindra & Cherlynn break down the latest in tech each week for me. I used to read the Engadget website more before I took my present job, but it’s been a lot harder with my current commute. This has been great! It’s thoughtful & fun commentary on what’s going on this week and perfect for my drive to work. I love how everyone gives and honest take on the state of the industry and also love Devindra’s hot takes & Cherlynn’s overall spiciness.

Lulu Ka ChuStay strong EngadgetI’m a long time fan of Devindra Hardawar’s work on The Film Cast and I randomly typed his name into the Apple Podcasts search bar back in 2018 and found this great show. The podcast had been in hiatus at that time, but I decided to listen to old tech news anyways and man was I hooked. The banter between him and Cherlynn Low had me eagerly listening to the next episode and before I knew it I had listened to the whole back catalogue of episodes. Side note around this time I got hooked on Davindra’s side project “Know More Tech” podcast that was made during this hiatus, but as good as that show was I missed Cherlynn. Luckily, around the same time that I finished the back catalogue of Engadget podcast episodes by some miracle the show had returned and let me tell you something, the show is as hilarious, informative, and even better than before. I love this show much and I am writing this on the heels of the devastating layoffs. I am a big fan of the show as well as the site and I wanted to let the podcast team know that there work is appreciated. I love the writers and team behind it and they are the reason I keep coming back to Endgadet. Thanks guys!

ELIRAUBRING BACK LIVE STREAMS Great blend of nerdy and informativeI watch live on YouTube with the chat and podcast gang. Great time. Very informative.
-
That one guy VulokA solid and refreshingly honest take on techThese are great to listen to when doing your various tasks as the cast and guests really welcome you into tech from a new perspective. I’d say give it a chance if you like tech or if you’re just generally curious about the field as a whole. Would I recommend? Yes Would I subscribe? Yes Side note: Apparently, they had a live show at some point and I missed out unfortunately. Here’s hoping for another season 🍻

SpeedyBubbleOpinionated and uninformativeIn the single episode that I partially listened to, the hosts said Zuckerberg “tanked” Facebook/Meta, Amazon was “notoriously horrible”, the only reason they log on to Twitter (which they compared to a traffic accident) is to make fun of Musk. It just went on and on. I’d listen again to get more examples but I’m not a masochist. If you have some sort of personal grievance with every tech company on the planet except for Apple, maybe you should try your hand an an Apple podcast instead of tech in general. Also, the male host asked the female host more than once for an opinion where she basically had none at all. Apparently she thinks crypto is “bad” and doesn’t follow space. Perhaps the hosts should talk before they start recording. I just found the whole thing to be opinionated, uninformative and unrefined. I learned nothing except that the hosts have a problem with most of the companies they are supposed to be covering.
-
SMRTALECSmart, Fun, with Pulse On the IndustryDevindra and Cherlynn have fantastic sibling-like chemistry. Professionally produced podcast with a pulse on the tech industry. The hosts and their impressive lineup of guests provide smart and witty commentary on the big news of the week.
-
HappycarrotcakeAggressiveI wanted to love this but one of the host is very aggressive when someone gives their opinion and most of the time talks over them and don’t let them finish their thoughts.
-
JedimindtrickonyouOne of my favorite weekly tech showsI’m glad Engadget has a podcast again, they are too good not to be competing with the Vergecast and other top tech shows. I love listening to Cherlynn and Devindra every Friday. This is one of about 5 weekly tech shows that are essential for me to listen to, no matter what. I know they have me covered for reviews and weekly tech stories. You should subscribe and listen to them!
-
iamJonahHillFantastic!Always look forward to new episodes & love listening to the hosts’ perspectives
-
KidviciousWhat happens to this “tech” show?Aside from the obvious inability to remain unbiased, does Cherlynn even know anything about tech? I hadn’t listened to this podcast in years. Far from what it used to be. Can we just give it back to Paul, Josh and Nilay? I want to hear about tech and not your condescending opinions. Just sit even bother. There are way better shows than this one.
-
TwobitpunkI give upGood format from a company that gets access to everything tech. However the hosts don’t distribute information well. They show an incredible bias toward certain companies and politics. I thought after Trump disappeared the night stop that aspect of there views, but it seems they mention him more now than before the Biden inauguration. Can’t listen anymore
-
KelchmeHates on Trump and supportersTo be fair, only listened to one podcast, but got an earful about what a racist I am. If you are in to that, this podcast is for you. Not for me though. I thought this was supposed to need a tech blog.
-
Mark DellLighthearted and funGlad to hear a causal and lighthearted podcast by people that know what they’re talking about. Most podcasts are either by people who are super smart but too serious, or hyper casual and uninformed. This fills what I need
-
XvnfdbkhcxtVery nice to see this backVery cool that these two love tech plus often have other Engadget folks with them. We will turn Cherlynn into a gamer yet!! She’s awesome and super responsive on Twitter. Dev knows AV standards so well and super knowledgeable on computers and media. They compliment each other well and good topics that are timely!
-
23456789-0987654323456789Not informative and full of biased reviewsBad content usually based off biased company impressions. Host don’t have an open view on each tech and pretty much go don’t company lines. Tech companies giving out free review hardware is bad for consumers, the reviewers pander to the companies so they can keep getting free stuff. Stay away from this podcast as it seems to be the worst of the bunch in that area.
-
NygmatekSimply the bestI’ve searched through the sea of tech podcasts and this one has the best combination of knowledge, experience, and real life. They give you the information and real review of tech they’ve handled or are in the process of reviewing. Keep up the great work 👍🏼👍🏼
-
ASA CaryOne of the best tech podcasts out there with one caveatI genuinely love the Engadget Podcast as it covers tech things that matter in a tone that is not too nerdy but techy enough for most people. One thing that I find annoying about this podcast is this podcast tends to be softer than others that I always have to crank the volume up by several notches before I really can listen to it.
-
DApple50000I can’t take the ignorance anymoreCherlynn Low doesn’t know tech. I used to love Engadget and I am an avid podcast listener, but having to listen to Cherlynn attempt to discuss on things like Apple Silicon and Windows on ARM and not even understand the basic fundamentals of either the chips or either operating systems or even understand that ARM is reference design and not a chip manufacturer is just maddening. Post-written-review she discusses her reviews that her co-host Devindra has to correct her on research she should have done as part of her reviews in real-time on the podcast. This is just irresponsible, lazy journalism. She makes broadly negative and positive statements based on deep ignorance. There aren’t enough quality tech podcasts to fill the day. This could be good if Devindra would find a better cohost.
-
Doc_Brown1985one of the best tech podcasts out hereI love tech. Whenever a new product comes out on the market, I hope Devindra and Cherlynn will discuss it on the podcast. The hosts review products with great detail, joy, and humor, never leaving you scratching your head and confused. I like to think I learn something new with each episode. Plus, the media and gaming recommendations are the best part of each show.
-
jdlico1204AwesomeSpotify rules and the only use this has for rating this awesome podcast. Always entertaining and funny. It feels more candid and spontaneous like friends having a conversation.
-
TV Movie JunkieGreat Tech PodcastGreat tech podcast from some seasoned tech writers such as Devindra who frequent Leo Laporte Tech show. You may not always agree with them but their assessments are fair and well reasoned. A great listen to keep up with the latest trend.
-
MansourViBest tech podcast out thereNuff said
-
juju677854Friendly tech digestI found this podcast as a follower of Dave Chen, who also does the Slash Filmcast and Culturally Relevant podcasts. He is well spoken and fairly fun for an older fellow, and Cherlynn is a great cohost. I like being able to stay abreast of the tech world and I can listen while I roller ski to work , how great is that? I have just one small areola of critique and that is the theme music, it is some weird pachinko lounge act which gives me the hives . But it is a good podcat, thanks guys!
-
P10pabloGreat podcast reboot!Devindra and Cherlynn are a great team. The audio quality and production are solid. Devindra and Cherlynn make the show accessible to the general public and the deep geek crowd. The style of the show is a little NPRish, but not in a bad way. I’d like to see them add a third person and loosen up a bit. I listen every week.
-
BBentonDoes the guy like technology? The male host doesn’t seem like he enjoys technology at all. He is annoying. I wanted to like the podcast because I enjoy the website.
-
Bliyts 002Immature. Mind numbing conversations. That episode referencing the phallic object was distasteful. Stopped listening after that. Be more mature, reminds me of middle school conversations.
-
OkrossiGood grief. Not worth the timeCan’t say anything nice in their comparison, including being critical about something Apple has addressed (the keyboard). It’s clear they aren’t comparing things just going on about surface and how much they dislike Apple. I think I see why they went dark for two years. Meh.
-
Reinnier_Sans O' BrienThis is a grat podcast as long as O' Brien is not on it.
-
Arty1980Giving the commentsI'd like you to update the podcast heed because I love to listen to your tech related stories
-
MaxAltusHosts are all about themselves, not enough tech infoI finally decided to unsubscribe. The hosts are frequently bantering back and forth between themselves on personal and political issues-(self-centered and borrrring)-give us more useful tech info.
-
Pendin2Interesting topics, Unprepared hostsLots of dead air and ohh so many "umm"s.
-
AXKmeIntersectional Much?Good podcast that mixes tech news, tech's impact on society, and fun banter. Love Devindra.
