TB516631Wr issuesVery good show, think you’re points are all pretty reasonable about the team. One thing I’d like to see is your opinion about how WRs were developed in the saleh era. I’m one who thinks we can’t take any stock in anything Corley or Gibson has done to date and both should get a clean slate with hope for upside. Saleh was huge on not letting any receivers on the field unless they knew every route and every blocking assignment at every wr spot, I mean just saying it sounds so ridiculous. You don’t see the chiefs, bills, eagles or any of the good teams holding offensive playmakers back for such unreasonable expectations. Let them get on the field and produce and do what their good at, scheme them up to be useful. This is especially true since we have always had such a weak room there is no reason to hold anyone back. We saw it every camp with brownlee making highlight catches yet never being allowed to play in games when it counted. Even Garrett Wilson who was drafted as the clear number one in a weak wr room was originally held back. Players like Rashee rice, worthy, Shakir, Nico Collins, Jameson Williams and so many others have come into the league with clear skills and were put out there to play right away. They had good starts but clearly all needed development and now a couple years in all very successful. What is your thoughts on this, as well as how you think Glenn/tanner deal with this group?

DfhhhgfWorst jets podcast5 minutes of commercials for every 3 minutes of content. Garbage content too. Rather listen to the commercials

dc in bostonQuinnen is checked out this seasonThink John B is wrong in Q. Watch Jim Rome interview. Watch Jets mic’d up. He seems unhappy and checked out. I don’t see him having a good season at all. He seems like he’s checked out and just showing up to collect a paycheck. It’s obvious and poor that John can’t see this.

Mikerbu1OverdueThis review is long overdue as I've listened to every episode for a few years now. The host John B., is great at what he does, always brings an honest assessment of the team. There is no home team bias, he is not afraid to criticize the organization or a player, if warranted, nor does hesitate to give praise when deserved. He's always prepared to tackle whatever the hot topic of the day is during the season, and will find something interesting to discuss during the lull of the offseason. This podcast is the voice of reason for NY Jet fans, an absolute must listen!
-
Justin G28Love the podcastJohn, I love the insight and perspective with every episode. You are a technician when it comes to the crossover episode and you outshine the other teams podcaster each week. Go jets!
-
ReviewIVXXAds kill it for meGood podcast, I like John B. The ads just kill it for me. 2 ad breaks, plus another one to close out the 30 minute show. Add that the host has to do his own promoting, leaves you with a 20 minute show that you have to sit there skipping through the fluff
-
RedSkyBurnsJohn Beezie!!What can I say. John B is the most fitting Jets host you could possibly find. He is a champion. Lets ride.
-
mcrebobJust another shrill voice in the cacaphonyHe talks in this sing song voice with a pretense of balance, but substance wise, it’s just another shrill voice of unsatisfied expectations. He’s constantly jumping on or off some trend based on a whole slew of contrived circumstances. He then poses some straw man counter argument and sums up with a pretense of a considered position. I know it’s not fair to expect an oracle, but it’s a given that whatever trade or acquisition he’s pulling is doomed to fail. Maybe if he demonstrated some depth of analysis, I would listen hoping for some insight. Maybe if he went against the trend of running the latest villain out of town for a season that doesn’t meet this fan base’s elevated and unrealistic expectation, I could tolerate it. But it’s all of those, without the humor, personality or insights that I could get from any drunk Jet fan droning on from a barstool at my local dive.

Doug MacRayWell Thought OutJohn’s episodes are always well thought out, and he clearly put a lot of work into them. Another fun way to consume more jets content

eruc solomitaJohnExcellent Postgame Excellent episode of Locked on ✈️ The first half of the season was outstanding for the New York ✈️. The team best all expectations to beign the year 6-3 . Now as we move to the final hakf of 2022 . The ✈️ are in position to end a twelve year postseason drought. Today we discuss potential return to the postseason along other things to watch in the season final eight weeks.

1nyjetfanYou just do not get itIt amazes me how fast you were to judge Joe D and the team when he got here and you are so slow to admit that Joe D is building a team of character and is changing the culture of this team . Every GM makes questionable moves and you can not cherry pick his performance . It has taken him 3 years to get out of the hole that Mccaggnen and the improvement is showing , it is clear to see . Just another podcast ......Yawn
-
K Mac NJMust Follow for Jets FansI’ve been listening for about a year now and it is my first listen every day. Every episode is engaging. As someone now living in the Midwest I don’t get to encounter Jets news casually like I did growing up, and John has felt essential to staying connected and keeping Jets on the brain past the end of the podcast.
-
Atrain2233#ALLGASNOBRAKEJust a great overall podcast for the JETS! Good job guys!
-
Chris GlassMy favorite jets podcast!Jon is even keeled and a great listen
-
SethJakeVery smart jets podcast!John is very very knowledgeable about the Jets and the NFL. He may not have the most exciting delivery, but if you crave great Jets info, he is as good as it gets! Thank you John!
-
GeoPavrockThe Guy is Locked on!John is an knowledgeable host who isn’t afraid to give his opinion or to admit when his assessment wasn’t correct. He’s has a encyclopedic recall of this teams highs and lows. It’s a great show that gives you the no nonsense information you need. His shows on past GM’s were outstanding. Bringing into focus the good, the bad and ugly. It’s that type of honest reflective quality that makes the show a must listen.
-
georgef142John B is the bestButchko is far and away my favorite listen on NYJ. Even, measured, smart. All football everyday No bombast, no reviews of MMA, Marvel characters or food preferences ever. Some how John keeps it fresh without being unrealistic about our team. Just football with very few guests. His best guest was his Dad. I would like to hear him more than once a year.
-
Mikelove0401You know what you did, Jon.Jon, it’s currently November 11 2021, and I just listened to your crossover episode with Joe from Locked On Bills. When Joe references Coach Robert Saleh, he pronounces his name “Saila”. As a jet fan, I cringed the entire time knowing that you were probably correcting his pronunciation during the interview. Then, the first time you pronounced his name during the episode you also pronounced the coaches name”Saila”. Maybe this was an unconscious mirroring you were doing, or you felt empathetic and did not want him to feel bad. But we all know, that is not how you pronounce his name. Hahaha i’m on to you Johnny B!! Besides that, I’ve been listening to you since your first episode years ago, and you are the first podcast I listen to every morning. Continue pumping out amazing content.

LeFlockoSeagullsAudio IssueSomething is wrong with the audio since adding YouTube. The volume is so low.
-
nickyviceKeep up the great workWhat I love most about this show is it consistency. John has never fallen off and the show is dependable.
-
long time jet fanIs there hope for ZackI enjoy your podcasts. Although your critique on Zack Wilson is depressing me. I just happened to watched Luke from play like a jet all 22 film and he provided me with some hope for Zack. Is there any chance you can have him as a guest host on your show? Keep up the great podcasts.
-
ETC9211Must listen for Jets fansOutstanding Jets podcast. I listen everyday in season and off season. Good insight and excellent analysis.
-
NC Jets FanExcellent Jets podcast!John Butchko does an excellent job and glad I came across this podcast years ago. I follow the Jets very closely and he does one of the best jobs covering topics that Jets fans want to really want to hear. The show also provides great therapy dealing with this team!
-
BYU AllumniZach WilsonI think you’ve given up too soon on your Rookie…Zach is just getting started… Can you Imagine Zach on a Team like the Saints or Raiders w/ all the Support, Experienced Coaching & a Defense…he would be thriving in a year or two If you throw a Baby in a Dumpster Fire it’s going to get Burned…hope Zach doesn’t give up on Jets…!
-
Bobby Anthony VinnyStop sleepingJohn your assessment of Berrios is short sited and gross. The kid is becoming a great route runner and sure handed receiver . You are going of draft position and 40 times.. Use your eyes homie, you would have never started Chrebet either .. I also remember the year you crapped on Myers too sometimes people achieve when given a chance.
-
DreJetVery sub par showBeen listening for a couple years now and it’s a very boring and repetitive show. If you’re a fan of the jets and just want to hear about your team daily (like me) I get it, but John B often says some things that sound like a whiny jets fan and not an analyst of football, his mailbag question always sound the same and he does a poor job of answering the question a lot of times. The Listener spot light segment might be fun if you’re the one who called in but it’s by far the most boring aspect of the show. Could use a more entertaining partner IMO. It’s not all terrible all the time but I honestly feel like he’s the least entertaining locked on host out there with a voice that could put you to sleep and average football knowledge at best.
-
Yos YosenstienShout out to LOJ from UtahAs a new Jets fan in Utah, I enjoy hearing about how things in the Big Apple are going with my new team! John does a great job breaking down the Jets in a way that is not too wordy or repetitive. Great podcast and I look forward to hearing more!
-
js010101Great podcastDon’t agree with all John’s takes on JETS but he does his homework and understands the issues
-
ZahyomiHost is just badOften whiny takes of a fan with little or no insight to the team. Only gets two starts due to the show sometimes having decent guests on because of the locked on network. It’s sad that a decent network like locked on has such a terrible jets podcast.
-
IslesFanRVAGreat Jets PodcastAs displaced Jets fan in Virginia - thank you so much for your great show!! @IslesRva
-
Out of shape dadJohn B is a great listen!Been listening to this podcast for a long time, it’s my year long Jets fix in New England. He’s pretty consistently even tempered and low key which is refreshing in these over the top sports podcasts, but his love affair with Chris Herndon has gone on for a bit longer than I liked. ;)
-
mazz59Great listenI love the New York Jets. I can’t get enough Jets news and commentary. John Butchko is knowledgeable and has a reasonable view of how NFL teams operate. Locked On Jets is informative, and probably the best Jets podcast out there.
-
paajicheleLove the host, love the contentBut the delivery could use a little help. John often rambles and repeats himself. Prep the script a little more and be crisper on delivery. Still 5 stars for being the one best Jets podcast out there.
-
JbombbbbSuper knowledgeableJohn is very knowledgeable about the Jets and football in general...love the podcast!
-
Swimmer lad 123The BestThe best Jets podcast by far, the episodes are always fun and interesting, and John always has the best takes
-
Triviawiz3000Pretty goodVery repetitive, could use a partner to bounce ideas off of.
-
BennybootsBest jets podcastBest jets podcast
-
StarfrugsFavorite Jets podcast by far.John is very patient and insightful. Goes for a measured and longterm approach with his thoughts instead of going with the latest hot take. Its great to get calculated analysis from a real Jets expert and fan. I listen to this every day. A must for any fan of this team.
-
Buddy jets fanJohn B makes the podcast and blog incredibleI’ve been a regular listener of Locked On Jets and regular follower of the Gang Green Nation blog for years and both the blog and podcast are of high quality. You can hear John’s expertise and passion in the episodes and it translates in the audience GGN attracts. John has cultivated an environment of intelligent dialogue and active engagement amongst fans on the blog. Unlike any other sports teams blogs that I follow.
-
adwda11I like cover 0This pod makes being a jets fan bearable...kindof
-
flash39cbJohn should be GMJohn does a great job of providing Jets fans with great coverage. It’s been a rough couple of seasons, but John gets all of us through it!!
-
podcastlistener00Great podcastAlmost every day I wonder why I'm a Jets fan. I'm starting to think it's because of this podcast. John does a great job. Let's hope that one day the Jets can pull it together!
-
Mfmartin88The best podcastJohn B is one of the best podcasters. He is very intelligent and thoughtful when providing analysis of this garbage franchise.
-
Aidan FredericksOne hell of a podcastHonestly, I look forward to hearing these podcasts, regardless of the NYJ record. John does an amazing job portraying incredible football insight. I’m actually super jealous that John does this for a living. There’s incredible insight into the NYJ. 5/5. Subscribe and get this daily. #firegase #sammysmyqb
-
Phinsman72Feeling the PainAs a Dolphins fan, I feel the pain of Jets fans with this idiot of a coach and organization. Would love to see the AFC East be dominant and have all teams competitive like the old days.
-
JetFan-MaryielBest Jets PodcastHe always finds new ways to explain the disappointment of this team. He someone speaks from the fan perspective while still being fair to this terrible organization. I listen to a lot of podcast, and this is always the first one I listen to in the morning.
-
luke.bodoA great listenThis podcast manages to keep me interested in a team that has consistently let us fans down over the past few years. Kudos to John B (an elite host) for providing entertaining content nonetheless!
-
mwalk1694Favorite Sports Podcast By FarI’ve been listening for a few years now and John B provides the most fair insight I have ever experienced from a sports media outlet. He always takes a resonance approach with his win, player, and team analysis and is not afraid to admit when he’s wrong on something. I tune in as frequently as I can because in a New York Sports media that can consist of a vast amount of fake or exaggerated reports to get clicks, John keeps it honest and genuine. I thoroughly enjoy the podcast and also recommend the website he is associated with Ganggreennation.com for plenty of written content - keep up the excellent work John!
