Nobody knows the FCS like Sam Herder. He is to FCS football what Adrian Wojnarowski is to the NBA. If you went to an FCS school or love that division, this is your podcast. If you went to an FBS school and your squad is playing a team from the FCS, this is your podcast. Give it a listen; you won’t be disappointed.

You would be better off cutting your wrists than listening to this. Sam is misinformed and does not know what he is talking about.

This podcast has quickly shifted into my weekly rotation. The insights that these guys provide really help a fan of an FCS team to get a better picture of the whole FCS landscape.

I listen to all the FCS podcasts I can get and this one is the best. The B-Mac and Herd podcast is comprehensive, thorough, insightful, relevant and unbiased. It’s not silly, repetitive or dismissive. Each podcast is organized and often includes bonus info (history, opinion, or food for thought) to broaden the listeners perspective while touching on hot issues each week. Thank you!

Intelligent and entertaining analysis of the FCS from two solid experts.

Great analysis but Be Warned: these guys take themselves very seriously. This is an offshoot of HeroSports, and it seems like hosts spend at least 15 minutes of each show countering what random fans complain about on Twitter. Their analysis speaks for itself....maybe this aspect of content will work itself out as the season progresses. Also how about developing some weekly/recurring prediction segments focused on weekly issues like biggest winner, Game of the Week, etc.? This would help provide structure to a show that feels discombobulated. Then again, one of these guys generally reminds(reprimands?) listeners each week that the hosts will “do what they want”, so maybe this isn’t the forum for innovation.

IMO the best national FCS podcast in the country and there’s several good options. Brian and Sam are the GOATs.

If you're a fan of FCS football, this is the podcast for you. There are other good ones out there but Brian and Sam know the national landscape better than anyone. A must listen!

Brian and Sam do a terrific job covering teams from around the country. It helps me learn about teams outside the Midwest. Their conversation is so natural with each other and they obviously appreciate their audience. Top-notch content!!

Great pod about FCS. My only complaint is one of the co hosts says “um” constantly; almost after every word. It’s nitpicking but that’s my feedback

I have been following the Hero Sports site for a while due to the excellent coverage of FCS football they do, and finally had some time to add the podcast to my listening list and I haven’t been disappointed! Chase, Sam, and Brian provide excellent highlights, news, and insights on all the FCS conferences across the country, and helps me, a diehard JMU fan (GO DUKES!) keep tabs on what’s going on across the nation. Keep up the great work, and I highly recommended listening if you love FCS football!

Great listen covering all of FCS. Being a JMU fan and listening to JMUSB and Greg Madia, this provides everything else I need.
