    These two show up
Episodes are well-researched and thoughtfully delivered. I appreciate the hosts’ zero-tolerance stance on violence against women and other oppressed communities (whether it’s in reference to someone they are discussing in their story, or someone who holds a political office).

    Stay Fetch!
I love how much fun you both have telling various tales and keeping me entertained with your witty banter. Seriously keep it up! It’s pretty dumb that some reviews come at you for laughing and having fun. You both do a great job at keeping certain things light and pivoting into serious mode when needed. It’s hard to stomach true crime when it’s too serious and dark in my opinion. Thank you for being lil sparkly gems and sharing your lives with us!

    Amazing podcast
This podcast is an amazing one, but these woman are way to judgmental and racist. This is a great podcast, but stop all the negativity, please.

    Your Bias Is Showing
I’ve listened to the pod for years now and I’ve always enjoyed it, but recently I’ve noticed how it’s become more opinionated over the past year. There’s been a few episodes I’ve just stoped listening to because of things said in the beginning or even in the middle of episodes. I listen to podcasts to escape from the world. I’m all for having your own opinions and thoughts but the way some are portrayed through the podcast are almost condescending. I don’t care what your thoughts and beliefs are, just don’t try to underhandedly project your agenda on others. Not really a fan anymore

    Why politics?
Good coverage of true crime stories, and the listener stories are especially enjoyable. But- I don’t need or want everything to be political, even- and especially- during election season. That stuff is everywhere, and I think I should be able to avoid political discussions if I listen to a podcast that isn’t about politics. It’s frustrating & obnoxious- probably triggering for some, too.

    Political Insult
I have been following Morbid for years; on Facebook and Instagram also. I will no longer be following their podcast due to insulting our president elect. Referring to him as burnt sausage. Regardless of who won you should never insult the president or push your political views on your business platform. You should be pushing peace, love, and unity and this is not what you’re representing.

    Nice job but…
Hey girls! Love the pod! But it took 16 minutes for you two to actually get to the most recent case. Maybe save banter for the end so people can choose to listen more or not? Thanks and keep up the good work! -K

    They listen to feedback!
My last review was 1 star and complained about the pod being quiet and the ads being so loud it killed, and how the hosts talked way too much and went on and on and on about how bad these bad people are, like yes they are bad, keep telling the story we are here for. I’m so so happy to announce that they have fixed allllll the things that I complained about! Thank you so much. Now the podcast is enjoyable again!!!

Happy long-time listener here! Ash and Alaina have been the soundtrack to my life while cleaning/driving/working out/shopping, etc. Morbid is my go-to podcast 4+ years running! Love this weirdo corner of the world and always will

    Mehhhh
I keep wanting to get into this show, but I can’t seem to do it. I was so excited to hear the spooky game episode, but it took FOREVER for them to actually start talking about it. When they finally did, they covered a couple games, and other podcasts have already covered them. The other episodes I’ve listened to are similar, they banter for so long at the beginning and the banter isn’t even that good.

    September House
Still love this podcast and a big thanks to Alaina for recommending the novel September House. What a great read!

    My daily choice
These women are hilarious. They research each case and put so much time and energy into it. Each podcast is so well told. Yes there’s audio differences from 2018-now. Obviously. The storytelling and effort is consistent. Yes they giggle and also have a good time. I’m here giggling w them. I feel invited here and I love this podcast, always recommending ♥️

My favorite podcast of all time
I’ve been listening for years, and honestly, I have no idea why people are so negative in the reviews. I’m leaving this review to balance them because I just don’t understand the complaints. Again, I’ve been listening for years. I’ve listened as Alaina and Ash express their feelings relating to cases respectfully, and considering all sides. They’re consistently excellent at presenting facts of cases with interesting insights and personal experiences, and probably apologize TOO much for expressing personal opinions so they don’t offend anyone. I’ve not listened to more conscientious podcast hosts than they are. They are constantly in touch with their audience, engaging and taking feedback with grace. They have a slight bit of banter at the beginning of every show, but the reason I started listening to them consistently is because MFM was working their way to 40 MINUTES of banter. I have no idea why people complain about 5 minutes of life and business updates. If you follow any true crime podcast religiously, this should be your go-to. They never fail to make me laugh out loud as I listen, and they are SO incredibly thorough in their research, including with the credit they give to their sources. Keep up the great work ladies! 👏🏼

    Getting Too Convoluted
What happened to nice one and done episodes? I keep looking for new content and you either have guests, who don't add much, or there are 2 or 3 parters. And, don't get me wrong, you guys were so good. To anyone feeling the same, I would recommend the Redhanded podcast or Serialously where they have the banter you want but you can listen to one fully fleshed out episode in one sitting.

    Credit Where It’s Due
Sometimes the topics Alaina and Ash cover are heavy. They do all their own research and piece together a story for us listeners at a fascinating rate. Anyone who gives anything less than 5 stars should reconsider. These women are powerful speakers, intelligent story tellers, and all around wonderful humans who should continue to be recognized for the awareness and humor they share!

    “special guests”
i love the show i love you guys and i can’t believe im writing a bad review. but please for the love of god stop with the special guests. we come here for ash and alaina not ash alaina billy joe bob and karen. it’s annoying and their voices are annoying. the only acceptable guest are john and drew respectively. we also stan the crew that works hard behind the scenes.
  • Lar32692
Lots of commentary in the beginning
I used to listen all the time but not as much lately. I had to fast forward almost 14 minutes of talking to get to actual episode. I just think that’s a little too much. I enjoy some of it but it’s like please get to the story. Maybe include the time where the actual episode starts in the show notes?
  • kaiahmaeTSB
Very good pod that gets great with time
If you start from the beginning yeah it’s kinda rough but it gets waaay better the further along you get. Love the banter and I definitely don’t get the people that whine about it like just skip ahead then?? Anyway I’ve been listening the last couple of years and it’s def a comfort pod for me, thanks for what you do ladies!

I really enjoy listening to them banter! They remind me of my bestie and me chatting. Most of the stories are very interesting and, I feel, well researched. I can listen to some of these stories on other pod casts and think that they are leaving things out. For those who feel they need to tell them how much they annoy them…listen to them and say this is not for me and choose something else. We are not waiting with baited breath wondering what you think of this. Move along.

It should be called Giggle Fest
Not a fan of how cutesy and funny they try to be. I guess this podcast is created for tweens.
  • JulieD3
    Meh
I don’t get this show. The sound quality is not great, there’s a lot of just giggling and kind of silly banter, and the stories are rushed through. It keeps coming up as recommended for me, but I’m not sure why. I guess some people find it entertaining but I can’t make it through an episode.

    Booty Halloween
The Halloween listener tales was very disappointing:( pick better ones

    Shut Up
    Just get to the story!!
  • snack pack1
    The volume 😡
I just started listening from the beginning. The sound was terrible but got a little better. Then it got bad again. Just finished the Corpsewood murders. I can’t hear anything! I have to have the phone right up to my ear if I want to hear what is being said. This is the only podcast I have any issues with. I love the show but I get so frustrated having to rewind just to try and make out what is being said.

    Copying other Podcasts
I see their content lately has been copying other small podcasts.
  • Jake8304
    Christian bashing
They just talk about random stuff the whole podcast and make their political views and anti Christian views known and there’s no need for it.
  • Baked Beans89
    Can’t do it any more
I have no idea why it is titled “Morbid” when they rarely go into details about the actual murder. They gloss over details just because they can’t stomach the facts. They went downhill and let their “fame” go to their heads. Please stop saying exacTly the way you do and keep your political views out of true crime podcasts.
  • Kllrrnmn
    Best pod out there
Literally the best. I’m obsessed and listen daily, multiple episodes.

    Katy Hawelka Episode
Hi Queen Weirdos, I just wanted to take a minute as I just listened to this episode and I did go to college in Potsdam, NY and I heard you say a lot that "this was just the '80's and now a days they have the police on campus." This none of what you said should happen "now a days" is true of Clarkson University. Going to college in a town with both State and Private Universities I learned all too quickly this is just a difference with private universities. On the state campus I attended our UP were state troopers where even in 2016 Clarkson had no police officers on campus and the UP on campus were only security guards not trained to do anything and with no connection to the police. They were a joke and things went wrong all the time and they were not respected among the student population. Later on in the episode you say the Snell family was well known. They are not just well known there is both the old Snell Hall now owned by Clarkson University, but originally part of SUNY Potsdam until Potsdam state abandoned the building gifting it to Clarkson (built in 1816 as part of the original campus) and the current Snell Hall on the SUNY Potsdam campus today both paid for by the Snell family. For more fun facts Old Snell Halls basement is where the boiler room scenes of the Nightmare on Elm Street were filmed and the building is super haunted. I was a stage manager for the Clarkson Theater Company and I often was in the building's theater alone and every time I was the stage lights would dance on their own. The dancing stage lights would have no power to them and still dance and light up the whole theater.

My first & most favorite TC Podcast
Updated my review from 5 to 3 stars — *Perfect example of mass production and big business ruining yet another great thing! Since they joined Wondery, the true crime episodes are less and less, the collaboration/guest episodes are boring, (I skip every single one) and the listener tales are way too often. I liked them as a break every once in a while but not every week. It feels like a sell out, but I don’t mean that on a personal level. Plus the cases feel rushed and less impactful than they used to feel, more soapbox-y or old-timey, which makes it hard to listen. I still listen to each true crime one and know that there must be some part of this that is out of their control with the Wondery contract, but they should cut them loose and go back to their roots. I listen to their other podcast, The Rewatcher, and it feels like the old days of morbid almost… bc they are on topic yet still themselves… I miss the old Morbid podcast.* Ash and Alaina have gotten me through so many boring shifts, long (and short) car rides and emotionally draining days. Whenever I turn on Morbid, I am instantly invested in the story because I know that it is thoroughly researched and more importantly, that Ash and Alaina genuinely care about honoring and remembering the victims in each case. Thank you for always being podcasters that go above and beyond for your listeners and for the victims whose stories you share! ♥️

    LOVE this podcast
I’ve been listening to this podcast for years to get through my long days at work and I’m obsessed. I love the relationship you two have and I can’t wait every week for a new episode. I’ve even moved over to scream! And the rewatcher just to get more from you guys. Keep up the good work, absolute hands down my favorite podcast

Keep up your great efforts to bring your personalities and insights into the morbid. Thanks also for uplifting survivors and remembering victims.

    Enough with the spooky stuff
I get it, it’s Halloween. A couple spooky episodes is fine but I’ve lost interest with this recent barrage of ghost stories.

    Other Reviewers can SCREW OFF
All the Christians complaining about “Christian bashing”—Alaina and Ash are incredibly respectful about saying “We don’t believe but if you do, that’s your belief” and they do not bash your religion. You just can’t handle criticism. Or the fact that your religion has caused more death than any other in history. The person complaining about vocal fry: Babe, we call that a raspy voice. Ash just has one. Grow up and don’t bother listening if it upsets you that bad. The podcast is phenomenal and I love them. They are the only true crime podcast I listen to because they give the victims respect and honor their memory while sharing the story.

    Input
This would be soooo much better but I feel the one girl forces saying the F word way to much , it sounds so unnatural. Sometimes that word fits but she feels like it makes her sound “cooler” to say it all the time when it’s not needed.
  • kfhkgdjkhc
    Love you Gals!!
Keep up the good work 🖤🖤 P.S. I love all the vocal fry, Christian bashing and cussing 🤣
  • EmStec
Great content/ lots of chit chats
I usually love a good friend dynamic for hosts but these two spend a lot of time talking about personal stuff. It’s like hanging out with old friends and you’re not in on the inside jokes.
