3 of the best true crime podcasters, in 1 show, no hold barred, all the detail (and then some…) …. BRING THE GUYS BACK TOGETHER, THE PEOPLE WANT WHAT THEY WANT <3 (The people is me, I am peoples… lol)

So I wasn’t going to leave a review but I saw a few bad once and I gotta put my thoughts in. First of all Mike is an amazing storyteller, creator, and his sarcasm is all you need to wrap it up into a neat little bow. I listen to anything Mike does he’s my #1 and even my husband will listen to a true crime podcast with me….only if it’s Mike….honestly, I wasn’t into this show the first episode I listened to either, but it’s Mike so I wasn’t giving up so easily, but once you understand that he’s giving you a story from different perspectives it’s really good. The story telling is phenomenal, his timing and voice, build intensity, Im getting bored with true crime being told the same way on every single pod out there….I came to have appreciation for his new take and creation……and when I heard jack luna in one of the shows I was sold!! I Love you too jack Luna!!!

This, like everything S & S does is not only awesome but unique & amazing storytelling (Im partial to Mike, but the other guy is good). Most bad reviews are because Mike isn’t a lover of leftist criminal gutter trash in office, on the street etc.. & he says what he wants -what a concept!? Its so sad how much free time the circus freaks & mouth breathers have to screw up reviews for ANYONE NOT 100% left -even if podcasters NEVER SPEAK ON ANYTHING LEANING ANY WAY (see The Prosecutors, people DUG UP their backgrounds & went back & changed 5 stars to 1, writing awful things OVER THEIR VERY PERSONAL LIVES🤦🏼‍♀️). KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK S&S & Mike & we’d live to see a comeback of this show!!

Been a listener since the beginning

Love the format and the content. It is very dark but so are the stories themselves. No way to lighten the mood without taking away the seriousness and devastation of these cases. I will listen to anything S&S produces.

He’s trying to use graphic content to make up for his lack of story telling skills. Not very good or interesting. With a better story teller and some tact it could be a good podcast but looks like it failed for a reason! Also Mike’s ego is unbearable, and the writer replacement in season 2 is just as bad. I do like the guy from dark topic though, he’s got humility and respect. I truly only keep listening for him.

Please please please PLEASE bring this show back!!! It is THE BEST!!!!

Nobody tells a story like Sword & Scale. This particular one is very dark so it isn’t for the faint of heart. I love the writing and the narration as always. If you want a little less dark listen to the other S&S podcasts including Nightmares and plus.

So I see that most of the 1 star reviews are harassing Mike Boudet, whom I don’t know personally. But his podcast/s have saved my f***king life, because he won’t be silenced. His consideration for victims, his love of what he does, and his true passion for telling these stories - keeping these people alive through remembering them- is so important. In many cultures, you’re only truly dead when you’re forgotten. Mike assures that that won’t happen. So shut the f up, leave him and his personal life alone, and if you don’t like the podcast - this MIGHT blow your mind, so be careful- DON’T. LISTEN. TO. IT. 😊

This is very dark! Didn’t think it could get darker than sword and scale! It’s a different format, more of a story telling. It is engaging!

This pod cast is more graphic then I anticipated. But I really enjoy how you tell the story in a manner in which I can close my eyes and see the story unfold and sort of see through reach persons eyes and the audio is epic. Ignore the haters and keep up the good work!

After hearing all episodes of Sword and Scale, I was searching for something that could bring me the same enjoyment as that podcast. I went searching for a new show to listen to but was fairly unsuccessful. Most of the ones I found did not have the same storytelling as Michael Boudet’s podcast had. In the end, I added Monstruo as a last ditch attempt to find a good true crime show. I was surprised to hear the familiar voice from Sword and Scale and instantly knew I had found the one. I love the vibrant pictures painted through the sound effects and storytelling. My only criticism would be that the after shows focuses less on the behind the scenes about the story and more on the critics they face. Aside from that this truly is a masterpiece! 10/10🤍🤍

Amazingly vivid story telling. Loved the cases and thoroughly enjoyed the directors commentary episodes. It is interesting to hear what goes into the episodes. Came wait for Nightmares to drop soon.

The actual episodes are. Definitely skip over the reviews, at least until after binging the actual shows.

If you like made-for-tv movies and the cheese factor they bring to the table, you’ll probably like this. And if so, great! Unfortunately, I’m not one of those people. It’s almost comical how bad this is. Probably a huge hit with Incels. Mainly due to their adoration of Mike Boudet.

These are like gold. Very well done.

The stories. The grit. Well put together and intriguing. Cannot stop listening! So vivid! I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I wish it would return!

I found the show not long ago and it such a good podcast. I feel there are many people who are just too closed minded or easily offended to actually appreciate how good it is. It is not like other podcasts and love the different way to tell the story. I really hope you guys continue with this one day!

Sword and Scale is one of my absolute favorites so I definitely wanted to check this one out. It gives you the story in a way that is never told. It’s definitely interesting hearing it in a way from the murderer’s view on everything. Keep up the good work guys!!

Sword and scale is amazing, this is just douchey. It’s like two teenage boys were given a credit card and equipment. I’m not easy to offend, nor do I consider myself a social justice warrior. But the way these two over sexualize and sensationalize the crimes these stories are based on is at best disrespectful, at worst just creepy and masturbatory. Both of these guys are talented, but really seem to struggle with their egos and are very thin skinned. I still expected more based on the other podcasts they do. Lastly… if you’re not sure how to use certain words maybe just leave them out (even if they sound really cool)?

Honestly I should have just kept skipping the “director’s commentary” episodes. After being told that any complains against the show were sjw’s and that the world has become too sensitive it just turned me off the show completely. I can go listen to the old men calling anyone who disagrees with them snowflake down at the VFW and save my phone’s battery life. Super wanted to like this podcast and I do like the actual episodes. Some of the podcast “personalities” behind it just ruined it for me.

I felt sick to my stomach listening to must of these shows. As a survivor of sexual assault as a child, teen, and young adult I had feelings come up I hadn’t felt in years. I’m currently a therapist and I have found that there are more of these killers out there that are close to the edge. THIS SHOW NEEDS TO COME BACK. I want others to know how a surviving a traumatic event changes everything about you forever.

I appreciated your creativity in presentation and story-telling. I realize this format is not for everyone, which is why there are other podcasts and content creators. Some people prefer more detail. Some prefer less. People should match themselves with the best fit. I miss this show and would support you on a different platform, if necessary. Just wanted you to know your work was also appreciated.

It is about the atrocities of what humans can be. Not sure why anyone thinks it should be watered down.

While these stories can be compelling the overuse of sexualized descriptions of mutilated female body parts take me out of the story. Yes it’s true crime but you don’t have to buy into your perps misogyny. It is juvenile and cheap. Also the terrible overblown descriptions and misuse of vocabulary is laughable at times. It’s like Creative Writing 101! I will stick to Sword and Scale and Dark Topic. I never thought I would say this but Lunas voice bugs me more than the other 2. I hate the way he mispronounces vaginal, ughh.

Best podcast ever

My only complaint is the ads in the middle pull away the intense drama you've set my mind into…. He ripped apart her clothes and scored her skin with the razor edge of her fathers knife…. HelloFresh is here to make all your dinner ideas a breeze. Blah. Blah. Blah. After watching her delicate flesh pucker at the knifes tip…..

This podcast is different from any other. Gives a different prospective on true crime. The story telling and writing is very descriptive and makes the audience feel like you are actually there, witnessing the crime yourself. Some listeners may think it’s too descriptive or disgusting but these are TRUE events. If you’re looking for a sugar coated, rainbow and cupcakes true crime podcast with PG commentary than this one is not for you.

I love the hosts, I follow and listen to all podcasts these two are involved with, the storytelling and or intro banter on each podcasts is like listening to family. And for me that darker the better, whether it’s s&s, 911 podcast, s&s daily, dark topics or dark topics as well as brutal, I’m loving them all💜💜💜💜

Host mike is an ugly person inside and out

I listened from the beginning because of my love of S&S. The hosts, Jack and Tyler (why is he not listed as a host?) are so fun to listen to. I have to admit, however, that my simple mind often could not comprehend the stories being told. The “conclusion” episodes made it all make sense tho. Those were my favorite too because these 2 work off each other so easily and fun. They cracked me up. So, I do not normally write reviews, but reading the negative ones on this podcast thoroughly irritated me. They very clearly state that they are not glorifying crime or putting killers on a pedestal, yet, enough people here who are writing reviews either don’t hear that or don’t care. The beautiful thing about podcasts is if you don’t like the first couple, you can stop listening at any time. This podcast took stories and told them in a completely different way than has already been told by multiple other podcast couples and did it well! It is unfortunate that enough people had a problem with this that it was cancelled (or whatever the term is for the end of a podcast). Mike B is NOT a predator or a racist or a sexist. Maybe go to dictionary.com before throwing around accusatory words that can ruin people’s lives. One more thing for those who find this podcast too “gruesome:” Go back to your Jesus podcasts, zip up your bubble, and watch unicorns running up and down rainbows from your living room window.

The combination of my favorite podcasters, writers, and storytellers makes this experience of listening to True Crime beyond my expectations. Wish they could reunite & continue their brilliant work as a team. And, Tyler- your writing brings these atrocities to the forefront, showing just how terrifying these killers were.

As usual, a disappointment.

Please Murder Daddy I am begging you please bring this podcast back🙏🏼🙏🏼 or even put some on for you’r plus members. I love Sword an Scale but I crave this podcast I literally NEED it. Love you keep up the good work and please fill the hole inside me that you left taking this podcast away. 🥰
