MalaZenThank youAs an immigrant still trying to figure out the complex world of personal finance, Earn & Invest has been a revelation. In many immigrant communities, money is rarely talked about openly—we focus on survival, not strategy even though things are changing slowly .Years later, I found myself trying to play catch-up, and this podcast has become the guidance I never knew I needed. The episodes are packed with valuable insights, real-life stories, and incredible book recommendations that make finance feel more human and less intimidating. Highly recommended for anyone who didn’t grow up talking about money but wants to learn and grow now.

LuckRunnerDisappointed by One-Sided ContentI’ve been a longtime listener of this podcast, but the recent episode regarding the incoming president was disappointing. The discussion felt one-sided and more like a persuasive argument than an open debate, which contradicts the podcast’s stated mission. As a result, I’ve decided to remove Jordan’s book from my library and recommendation list, and I’ve also unsubscribed from the podcast. While I respect the work being done, I can no longer support content that consistently aligns with only one perspective. I wish you continued success, but I hope for more balanced discussions in the future.

Chad AblangWonderful Personal Finance PodcastI have learned a lot from Jordan Grumet, MD. I love his perspective on money from the lens of a hospice doctor. His interviews are insightful because he allows guests to share their journey with money and investing. I started with his podcast and then read his book Taking Stock, which was a closer look at how we should live a meaningful life, making us think about what matters more than numbers and our portfolio. I appreciate how his podcast are engaging and shows his passion for storytelling.

enocreprenuerAlways Insightful!Love this podcast because Doc G brings interesting guests and draws out helpful insights that shape my perspective on all things meaning and money. The after show comments provide additional layers as Doc exposes more nuggets of gold.

sowergirlJBMore than a money show & excellent interviewingDoc G is the kind of doctor I wish everyone could have—thoughtful, curious, and genuinely interested in meeting you where you are. The variety of guests, topics, and in-depth discussions are impressive, and he has a unique ability to connect it all back to money and self-reflection.

Kyle23CDeep & InsightfulDoc G does an excellent job researching his guests, preparing for his interviews, & asking deep questions that are more about life & mindset than just money. I love the overarching concept of finding our why, our purpose, & getting in touch with the choices we make. My fav parts are his intros & outros where he gives his well-articulated thoughts on the topics presented. Good dude & great podcast!

TeacherReviewer_21This guy is the real dealAbsolutely love how open this dude is when talking about money. He has diverse views and is thought-provoking.

The VVPReal talk about finance and purposeJordan really connects with his guests each episode and allows them to share their perspectives bother unrelated to finance and related to finance.

Ada LEnd Commentary is the starI love that it’s not a generic “horde all your cash and invest” podcast. Doc G goes into more topics that explore the “what’s next” once you have all the cash. I don’t want to spend all the time thinking about how to get there (I’ve been doing that for the last 10yrs- it’s exhausting). I want more people to talk about what happens when that day comes. Also the end commentary after the guest speakers segments are always gold. I enjoying listening to an expert on the topic but I am always enlightened by Doc G’s perspective. My favorite is when he brings on other guests that aren’t experts but just fans of the show! Love hearing others take on this!

Debt BustersWarning Label for FIRE (w/ Vicki Robin)Jordan; Lots of good points of life after FIRE and having to then deal with inner person challenges. Yet, while the challenge was identified, there was a lack of practical solutions. Here’s a suggestion; Try Biblical Christianity with salvation through Jesus Christ. It’s worked for centuries by a large percentage of the world’s population. Signed, Both retired early and happy with life in Christ, Baton Rouge, LA

SnavileDocG’s outlook on life and finance is the bestI have traveled with DocG ever since he was interviewed on Grant ‘s show. I take away the best version of living from his podcasts, with money and value in balance.

PaigeBPodcastingNever Ending InsightWow, I have learned so much from this show after several months of listening. Doc G is such an intuitive and engaging host. His guests bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. Highly recommend subscribing!

Jeremy KeilLearn from someone just like youDoc G isn’t a financial advisor or selling anything. He’s just someone learning about life and money and sharing the best of what (and who) he knows with you.

Financial SamuraiFun podcast!I often enjoy listening to this podcast. Goes beyond just the nuts and bolts of accumulating more money. Money, is not the end goal after all. Using money to live a better life is. It would be great to hear more guests from higher cost of living areas (~45% of Americans live in more expensive coastal cities) and guests with different cultural backgrounds. We can learn so much more if we hear more different perspectives. - Sam

mcdustnipsLove it!We know: real estate investing is a secret gem that so many entrepreneurs and investors have yet to discover, which is exactly why we LOVE this pod and work so hard ourselves to encourage education for investors and entrepreneurs alike. This podcast is a must for anyone trying to grow their investments + their wealth!

Smile12005Great contentDoc G is a great interviewer and selects great topics of discussion. It is not your typical interview show, there is more of a thoughtful conversation about very interesting topics in personal finance.

BY23Brit23Thought provoking questions & conversationsStumbled upon this podcast and really enjoying it! In the age where most podcasts seem very fabricated (as if the convo was scripted), this podcast is the complete opposite. I find myself getting absorbed into the conversations and contemplating my own answers with this podcast more than any others. Highly encourage taking a listen if you like some depth to a conversation!

SwitchSyntheticsReal people, real results, real cool!Playing the game of life as kids, we all wanted to be the Doctor or Lawyer to be rich and win the game. Now we can see that even doctors are just like us and that some actually do care about others. Doc digs deep into his life, no holding back, and into our lives, for the benefit of your life. Give it a listen and I bet you will be amused and walk away with great tips to put into action in your life and investing.

Scot MontgomeryA financial podcast that expands my view on lifeJordan (aka Doc G) has a way of discussing unique and interesting topics with a point of view not often found in podcasts. I learned of Earn and Invest while listening to another show Stacking Benjamin’s. What I enjoy about Doc G’s approach is that he truly seems interested in the topic and presenter. Sometimes I do skip episodes due to either the topic or the personality of the guest not being interesting to me. I also like Doc G being willing to hit other topics example equality, gender identity, Industry discrimination etc while covering it from a point of view of finance. To me that would be terribly difficult to do and he is executes this well. Also, I appreciate that he is also a hospice doctor and look forward to reading his book. My employer is in skilled and assisted living so I understand and here similar experiences that he has seen. I assumed when I started listening that many of the conversations would go right over my head but that’s not the case. He takes very complex thoughts and breaks them down into everyday language.

ilove2eatveggiesWaitresses, Bartenders, and StrippersI want to leave a review specifically for Jordon as a host and an operation. I was his guest on the December 30, 2021 show. As a host Jordon does not ask you what you want to talk about nor does he provide you with a list of questions or topics. He leads you into an unscripted and candid conversation with great flow. It’s such a treat, and you can tell he knows what his audience wants! I was really surprised when he asked me about being abducted (he does his research!). Additionally, as someone who has worked in, as he describes it, illicit settings, Jordon was 100% respectful, while also being responsible to his listeners in asking counter questions. As an operator he is a true professional. He gives you a rundown of his format before you start and then sends you a link of the podcast a few days before it airs along with promotional images and links. All around deserving of praise! Wonderful production and great attention to detail.

12405595884Among the best interview series everDoc G is a master interviewer. Every interview brings out robust detail a thought provoking dialogue with his guests. Exceptional personal finance but combines it with life, values, motivation, and personal stories sure to enrich your wallet and your spirits. I love this podcast so much. Thank you Jordan for all you do for the FI community, Hospice, and the podcast world. Terry Gross ain’t got nothin on you man. Keep it up!

EnneagirlLove this podcast except…Grinded is not a word! Unless you’re talking about grinding up against someone in a club. “She *ground* it out working 2 jobs for 10 years” is correct.

maspelinYest another great episode, so great!Wow! I have been listening to Doc G on Earn & Invest for a couple of years and his guests just keep getting better and better! I loved a recent group forum about why a person might NOT want to invest in real estate and now Miles about his financial literacy app about the stock market for students, learning and empowerment. I can always get behind people taking personal responsibility for their learning. Doc G, thanks for taking the time to find good people to have on your shows. I listen because I want to learn something new and you deliver. Your questions are great and go beyond the actual subject matter to dig deeper. You are making a difference. Thank you for being you.
-
Dan SheeksDoc G is a great host!Dock had me on as a guest for his podcast, and I have to say it was a blast! He treats his guests with respect and does his research ahead of time. This allows him to get the best interview with his guest and the most value for his listeners. I highly recommend the Earn and Invest podcast to all who wish to make better money decisions!

Unknown13662266932Authentic interviews with interesting peopleDoc G’s podcast is authentic, entertaining and inspiring and one of my favorite personal finance podcasts- because of the fact that it offers so much more than personal finance. Being a consumer of many personal finance blogs, books and podcasts I discovered earn and invest through some other podcasts and subscribed on the spot because of his interview style and link to the healthcare field. Being in healthcare myself I found immediate value and felt I could relate to his perspective on topics.
-
Fostering JoyBold and InspiringI love that Doc G found his voice in this space and is willing to challenge the status quo and produce content to make us all think. While financial freedom is critical to lifestyle freedom, he also makes the stories and voice of his guests really thought-provoking and sometimes edgy things to think about. Grateful to have his voice in my life :) Heidi Dusek Ordinary Sherpa Podcast

StevenfmurrayFantastic podcast! The most insightful personal finance podcast out there in 2021. Doc G asks tough questions and draws out information that other interviewers don’t get to. It’s obvious that a significant amount of time and effort goes into each and every episode. It’s really nice to hear candid, open discussion about what’s really fulfilling (content creation and personal development vs. the “prestige” of being a physician) and the associated emotions. Keep up the good work.

MA travelingSmart, critical-thinker with heartI already appreciated Doc G’s calm and effective interviewing style . Then had even more respect for his frank discussions about the weaknesses of the FIRE movements- because I think it’ll make the movement stronger. But what I appreciate most is his vulnerability in sharing about the shame he felt as a physician. As a fellow health care provider, I resonated with the deeply. Lower on the totem pole of hospital hierarchy, I was sometimes on the receiving end of harsh criticism from physicians. But I always sensed the deep insecurity and pain beneath that. Ive since quit my profession and, if I’m honest, one of my strongest motivations to reach FIRE is to never have to work in health care again. That’s a sad thing to admit. It’s sad for our patients, it’s sad for our healthcare system, and it’s sad for the healthcare providers going through the emotional trauma of caring for the sick and dying without enough emotional support. I appreciate that Doc G had the guts and emotional intelligence to speak these hard truths out loud. FIRE is not a solution for emotional trauma- I think sometimes we hope it will be. But with some introspection, I think FIRE can be a wonderful step off of the path of toxic societal norms- and onto a path that makes the most of this brief life we’ve been given.
