Garage Heroes In Training

30

An amateur endurance auto racing team hoping to show everyone that they too can participate in performance driving or racing. We are a relatively new team and learning right along with you. Our assumption is that you know very little to nothing about the sport but are interested in learning to drive better and eventually maybe even race in a local event of interest. We will cover all forms of racing and hope to be entertaining as well as educational.

    Great motorsports content
They provide great information and and the banter is also great. The variety of guests really help provide a different perspective.

    Great content!
GHiT is a great podcast for those who want to learn more about grassroots racing. Their guests, stories, and experiences help the listener understand what’s involved in getting started in motorsports. I highly recommend listening! Bill Host Late To Grid Podcast

Great Content for the Whole Family!
Garage Heroes in Training are a great group of people working on doing extraordinary things by introducing new folks to the Motorsports world! Have become great friends of mine and please share this show with friends/family/enemies/family you hate/etc. **I signed the waiver to be a guest and drive with their friends RaceBar, so best worst decision I ever made!!** (listen to Kyle Lockrow episode for inside joke)

    An awesome resource!
Down to earth endurance racing talk! I appreciate the effort you guys put in to your topics.

    Painful
The cackles, “nice” over and over, more cackles, questions to guests that sound like a 4th grader wrote them, more cackles. Stopped listening after one of the hosts didn’t know what Nurburgring was when a guest brought it up. Huge void on grassroots motorsports podcasts. It’s a shame that this one doesn’t deliver.

    Guests are great, hosts....meh
Y’all should call yourselves Podcasting Hosts In Training! Hella painful to listen to you guys try to think up questions on the spot and interrupt the guest and constantly change the subject. Can you just preset Alexa with some questions and just have the guest respond? Also a fun drinking game to play while listening, is to drink every time the hosts say “nice.” I’d put zero stars but the guests are great and manage to come across coherent on such an awkward podcast.

Great perspective from a newish team
Nice work on the podcast, it was fun pitting by you at PittRace. Thanks for the insight into the team and your race.

    Fun and informative.
For any race team starting out, I’d call this a “must listen.” Informative, fun, and absolutely jam packed. The Stan Lee tribute episode is a delightful romp through pop culture. I look forward to hearing more from this crew. Also, that Jason Hopkins guy from the Citrus Racer Lounge provided some great insight to the story behind the group.

    Awesome Podcast
We are trrying to make sure that anyone who ever wanted to race a car feels welcome and comes on out and gives it a go. Why a 5 star review? Well, if we don't give it 5 stars, we probably can't expect anyone else to!

Racing wasn’t interesting to me, until now
Funny and motivating at the same time. Racing seems fun now. Who knew? Can’t wait to try.

    Listen, it’s great!
This is easily the 2nd best amateur endurance racing podcast on the interwebz. This is brand new team, just starting and it’s a great perspective on this sport. If you want to get into racing, pay attention. They explain a lot of concepts they had to learn, they give great hints on things they learned the hard way and it’s all done with a grace a land humor rare these days. Even if you don’t like racing, it’s a fun listen.

    Racing team looking to improve
I’m not sure how they can race together and stay married. I guess I have much to learn on that as well. Fun and educational. Please keep up the great job so far. Very nice. PS. Alan, please stop with the black flags. That is not the goal.

    Thoroughly Enjoyable
I find myself laughing along (and sometime right at you) and have many comments I wish I could make during the conversation! You also give up Alan’s “secrets”😊. I really enjoy the outtakes at the end! Oh, when when will Alan ACTUALLY become a millionaire??

    Surprising and easy to follow
New team learning as they go. They don’t use too much jargon. Informative and even sometimes entertaining.
