white_fang_mrPhenomenalPerfect blend of human stories and mathematics.
-
the NeanderthalGreatVery approachable. More about the people than the math, but there’s fun talk for us maths people too.
-
mrpink25Fantastic podcastIf you like any part of mathematics, these conversations are amazing. Cannot recommend enough.

jfjdjeheAn educated adultAn educated adult was the most interesting, best episode to date, check it out/

idina marshallThe life story of mathematiciansInterviews with contemporary mathematicians about their personal histories. At once soothing and inspiring, this a must listen for its glimpse into the personalities and process of (mainly) academic scientists. Brady’s interviews are not seeking to make some point, or satisfy an ideology. Rather they flow with a natural curiosity, and invite genuine responses from the guests.

Kendall SimeoneI……like itIt’s kinda good but I like YouTube’s version better

HdogxitckgchodoydotxoxEven better then what I saw from YouTubeKnew Number File from watching YouTube, this was even better then what I have seen on YouTube, guess the recommendations from YouTube hid this content from me. Just to be clear this episode wasn’t shown to me on YouTube. I saw other videos on YouTube.
-
cool dude2845Amazing contentGreat host, great interviews, much more than just about math. Brady finds smart, interesting people and gets their best stories and thoughts. Overall just an awesome show.
-
SprkygrgIncredible interviewer.I am struck by how often it happens that while Brady Haran interviews someone they will say that “ that’s the first I’ve thought of that but..YES” What a great interviewer and wonderful series.
-
david.pullmanAwesome podcastBrady has such a personable approach to a broad array of people. I’ve been listening to Numberphile for a while and every episode is quite good. I’ve just listened to the Third Cornet with Katie Steckles while out riding my bike. Very interesting and a pleasure to hear.
-
HipNerdBrady brings out the best in his guestsA great look into the lives and careers of professional mathematicians.
-
John G. LivewellMaking Math accessible to all....Brady has a gift. The interviewees have a gift. Both parties come together to give the listener a peek behind the curtain of their lives. Mathematics, Astronomy, Science...real subjects....with real people making each subject accessible to all levels of listener. Thank you Brady!

recMathGreat discussions, great peopleThank you so much for this wonderful podcast! These are some of my favorite people and I love the balance between casual conversation and specificity. I love getting to better understand how these people I admire do what they do so I can better emulate them. If you read this Brady, I wonder if you’ve heard about the Life of Fred series. It is organized like the “untextextbook” you recommended Grant to write. I really advise anyone who loves math, hates math or has any other attitude toward it to look into the Life of Fred series by Stanley Schmidt. They are superb. Just like this podcast.

StainlyssGreat Discussions and Fantastic GuestsI’m not a mathematician or even a scientist, but I really enjoy Brady’s chats with various mathematical folks. He does a great job of introducing premier mathematical guests and helping lead them to explain, in an accessible way, what they do. Brady is absolutely brilliant in asking questions to get to answers that work for folks like me. I’ve learned so much about professional mathematics just from listening!
-
Aya ShinomoriAmazing, give it a shot!If you’re a fan of Numberphile and its various guests, you’ll surely enjoy this more personal look into some truly brilliant minds. And even if you’re not, or have no clue about any of this, these are still enjoyable interviews - for all parties involved. It’s easy to hear that Brady is truly interested in his guests and the guests are truly comfortable with him. They’re less interviews, more casual conversations. With insightful questions, compelling answers/verbal discourse, enough humor, and it’s easily understood, this podcast is a treasure. I don’t relisten to most podcast episodes, but there are no diminishing returns on enjoyment with repeat visits. Thank you, Dr. Haran!!

Bwhittyboy22Best PodcastWhen I found out one of my favorite YouTube channels also had a podcast, I nearly died and/or started believing in a God. This podcast is perfect and I recommend it to everyone I talk to.
-
pirat_katrBeautiful podcast :)It’s so interesting and relaxing! Plus, a great way to catch up on numberphile videos- when a new podcast comes out, I’ll binge the videos with the mathematician in question first! Edit- just realized I won’t be getting to the latest one in a while, so many Matt Parker videos! It’s incredible how much free content you put out Brady, thank you.
-
King999Great addition to the videosI have loved Numberphile videos for years. This podcast is a great complement to the videos - a more personal look at how some of the familiar faces on Numberphile got into math and what they love about what they do. Thanks Brady!
-
nosirrbroAnother great one by Bradley AaronQuite a lot different from his other podcasts, but still in the same conversational tone and with some great guests, very nice to listen to!
-
ToginftiGreat mathematics podcast and a bit moreThe Numberphile Podcast helps provide a glimpse into the world of professional math and helps turn professional mathematics into real people. Brady does a fantastic job of interviewing delightful guest and together they craft an a story detailing their history in maths and the woes and victories that got them to where they are. This podcast combines the best elements of mathematics and biographies into one fantastic listening experience
-
AstromathmanSurprisingly wonderfulI listen to a couple other podcasts by DR Haran, so I thought I’d try this one. And even though I love the Numberphile YouTube videos, I wasn’t really expecting much from this. (A podcast about numbers? Without the brown paper? How could that work?) But it is GREAT. Love the human element. Really fun.
-
ChristhanthimumBrady is the bestBrady does such a great job at asking the right questions to get such wonderful stories out of these amazing mathematicians. I love Numberphile videos and getting a glimpse into the live of the subjects of those videos is a joyous listening experience.
-
Alex BragdonA+ EntertainmentKeep them coming, Brady! These are wonderful.
-
DedwarmoOff to a great startIf you love mathematics, you’ll love the Numberphile Podcast. Numberphile already has a great back catalogue of great videos on YouTube. Grant Sanderson was a great choice for the first episode. Mathematics is one of the few disciplines which attempts to tackle the idea of infinity. And I believe it does it better than philosophy or religion.
-
OG G2GExcellent interviewsThis is the interview podcast we deserve. Thank you Brady.
-
Superfg5318Really amazing for doing complimentary taskThe vernacular, brevity and cadence in these podcast are very compelling. They aren't too verbose with the maths but articulate it in a more palpable form, so you can listen to them complimentary with a leisure or menial task.
-
YULitleNumberphileKeep asking them about their process! It’s my favorite part. Great podcast.
-
DannyBoi(TheStory)Great PodcastAlready subscribed, definitely a podcast I’ll listen to a lot more of as they release more episodes. Personal favorite is the Grant Sanderson
-
Keep Summer SafeBehind the CurtainBrady gets into the real nitty gritty with some really interesting people. Waiting for the Matt Parker episode! Also, Brady’s ‘motivation’ for doing YouTube videos (as described in the 3Blue1Brown) episode is exactly how I feel as a math and stats professor. Keep ‘em coming!
-
Permian3Wonderful!I was hoping Brady would do this!

Traf ecafCan’t get enoughThe Numberphile podcast is easily the best find I’ve had this year. I found Brady through hello internet and I’ve been an avid fan for years. Brady is unmatched as professional interviewer particularly in this context where he is quite obviously passionate about the topics. It’s really great and I hope it grows into weekly show. Even if it doesn’t, I’ll take whatever I can get. Brady, thanks so much for all you do.
-
Tonberry13Fantastic!The Numberphile podcast is fantastic! Brady has found wonderfully engaging guests who talk about how they got into their respective area of math, what challenges they face, and how they go about doing their best thinking. Not a math lecture, but just as interesting on a human level. 5 stars!

P4PA515ExcellentLove Numberphile YouTube channel and this podcast is almost like the YouTube channel on steroids. In a pod cast you can spend the better part of an hour really getting to know how things work and if it is an interview you can really get to know the person. I like video I lke reading and listening. PODCASTS: I grew up with no Television (well grand parents next door had one) so we listened to the radio a lot. The think about audio is that you don't miss anything if you look around the room it is like a great radio program where you can press pause/rewind/play and play again and again.
-
rhduhA brave attemptA podcast about math! Dr. Brady Haran has done it yet again. You rarely hear the stories behind mathematics and mathematicians. I hope this becomes as big as numberphile YouTube channel! All the best!
-

dlugosj1Brady at his BestI have enjoyed Brady’s work for a few years, especially his podcasts. This one, I think, brings out the best of his style. He is a trained journalist, and definitely makes use of this skill set in this podcast. He interviews well, and is able to make his guest’s strengths come through. I appreciate the show, and look forward to more content!
