Not only does Icy research her stories and give you verifiable information, but she is a great storyteller too! So you get a bunch of well researched information, with great insights from someone who has been studying this stuff a long time. AND … you get a great story, because she is genuinely interested in the subject matter as well as her audience! It IS the best of both worlds. Get a cup/glass of your favorite beverage and sit back!

Found this podcast when researching Doppelgänger folklore a little while ago and never looked back. Icy is a great storyteller and each episode is a perfect blend of facts and fun. There’s something very cozy about it, definitely recommend.

I'm just getting into folklore and love this pod. Each ep is short and to the point but still jam-packed with intrigue and info. Icy's cadence is easy to follow and she is approachable and not too academic. Plus, her accent is the icing on the cake - perfect enhancement to the tales. I've learned a lot already!

As humans we are forever curious about where a practice, superstition or folklore came about. Icy does amazing research and delivers each podcast with information from all over the world and blends a wicked good sense of humor. I wish I could leave an unbiased review but I can not, because simply put, I love this podcast. The content is awesome, the playful tone is refreshing, & it doesn’t hurt that Icy’s accent is like music to my yankee ears. I find myself always looking forward to the next episode!

Set aside that listening to Icy talk about anything is a glorious auditory experience regardless of the subject on which she is speaking. This podcast is fun and informative while also being direct and concise. A charming sense of humor and a world of information on various arcane subjects.

This woman is amazing! Her research is vast and magical. Right down to her voice her storytelling skills are enchanting and encapsulating. I listened to every episode in one day while building walls and running electric in my house. I was literally all caught up before my children got home from school. I couldn’t stop listening. I want to replay them all tomorrow.

Icy’s podcasts are well researched, engaging and will leave you wanting more. While she does offer opinions about what she’s learned, there is no judgement - you’ll want to do your own research to learn more!
