I don’t recall how I stumbled upon this pod, but after I listened I was hooked. Without soaking up all your valuable time Phill delivers interesting modes of obtaining new clients / selling your product. I have struggled with how best to advertise my unique small business (Luxury high-end cat boarding). Surprisingly, I’ve applied many of his wisdoms and believe the phycology behind them works. I began by enjoying a few of the episodes upon recommendation. After listening to the latest this week, no. Hard no. Obvious left wing political bias. Too bad, there was some promise interesting subjects. But really? Ugh. Get very weary of this. I’d recommend avoiding. Plenty of other great listens without the politics added.

One of the most practical and useful podcasts in behavioral science. My favorite episodes are the Rory Sutherland interviews.

If you want to learn about how people act, or if your job is to influence what people do, or if you want to change something about you or others, then listen to Nudge podcast. Behavior Science is a fascinating new science that is opening our eyes to how we all behave, whether we admit it or not. Anyone can apply it in their own life, at work or at home.

I heard Nudge advertised on a different marketing podcast. Since I'm fascinated by behavior based marketing, I checked it out. I just binged about 20 episodes and going deep down the rabbit hole. New excited fan!!

As a listener always looking to enrich my perspective, I was delightfully surprised to discover the Nudge podcast. Hosted by marketer Phill Agnew, Nudge explores the intersection of human psychology and business, distilling scientific research into bite-sized nuggets of insight. While I don't consider myself a marketing aficionado, I find myself captivated by each episode. Phill has a true talent for making complex concepts understandable and applicable. His smooth voice and witty metaphors make each topic engaging and memorable. I often find myself pondering how a particular "nudge" technique could apply to my own habits and behaviors long after an episode ends. What I appreciate most about Nudge is how empowering it is. Unlike some business podcasts that feel exclusively tailored towards entrepreneurs, the psychology and influence principles explored in Nudge could benefit anyone. Understanding the subtle ways we make decisions has helped me feel more in control and aware in my personal and professional interactions. The format also lends itself well to busy schedules - most episodes are 20 minutes or less. But despite the brevity, each one feels meticulously crafted, weaving in scientific studies and guest perspectives for a well-rounded discussion. It's clear Phill does his homework. I highly recommend Nudge to anyone seeking self-improvement with a side of entertainment. You'll walk away feeling smarter about human behavior - not to mention picked up some sly tips to gently influence those around you. Phill has a rare skill for engaging curious minds while also equipping us with practical tools. Give Nudge a listen - I'm positive you'll get hooked!

There is nothing inherently wrong with a podcast coming from the Left, but be open in your bias. I unsubscribed after listening to the episode “The surprisingly simple way to change one’s mind” … moral of the story: Agnew says the Left uses facts, and since conservatives have no facts, they must revert to stories. So simplistically dumb… as if no one on the Left ever tells stories. There’s also a whole lot of “because of evolution, [blah blah blah]” spread throughout. Hey guess what: people sleep away from door entries because there are legitimate, current day threats, not because some caveman thought it was a good idea a bagillion years ago. People today are perfectly capable of making rational decisions based on rationally breaking down current circumstances. With people like Agnew, it all goes back to the caves. Don’t waste your time.

Like a cheesy puff it started with just one. I can’t wait to finish all the episodes so I can start in on some of the book suggestions. The format, tone and vibe of the show is brilliant. Keep it up, I’ll be here listening, loving it and learning.

I am not a huge business fan. This podcast is all over the place (in a good way) on the ways businesses can can nudge us to do certain things. I like it because it is science-based, but also because the lessons can be applied more broadly to everyday life.

Phil does an amazing job with this podcast. The information he uses is backed by studies that support his point. He is creative and is a skilled speaker. I listen to this for entertainment most of the time but also have used a couple of the techniques in my own advertising for my business. Highly recommend to anyone interested in psychology / behavioral science or business marketing.

President Trump did not have a disastrous term. Border was secure. Economy was thriving. Foreign policy was peaceful. He is a popular president and you are insulting many Americans. I’m tired of it. I’ve ignored it before. I wanted to learn more about Winston Churchill, but instead I’ll go elsewhere.

Usually love your podcast but the Trump talk is a big turn off. Drop that and you’ll have a 5 star podcast in my mind.

I love this show. I wonder about the example of an 18 month old “conforming” vs collaborating, mimicking out of a learning pov or simply wanting to help get that dang toy apart. Same with the group conformity of clapping assumption in large vs small groups- maybe people are more self conscious in a large group, maybe not but it’s worth accounting for personal preferences like in the boardroom example of the boss supporting a bad idea when only one or two people object, sometimes it’s simply a matter of people not having the credibility (seniority, strength of voice, confidence) to stand up to clearly poor executive decisions

The topics are relevant, interesting, practical and actionable. The host is likable and easy to listen to, and his guests are interesting and informative. Highly recommend.

There are many marketing podcasts, but I find the well researched information presented in The Nudge has helped me longer-term in my career. Rather than focusing on trends these are evergreen episodes that will make any marketer smarter and more empathetic with your audience.

I've only been listing for a few months now and always find Phill's podcasts to be informative, engaging and most importantly they make me think. Learn something new in a fun way. Highly recommend.

Phil condenses hours of research into a short witty podcast. I love that he cuts out all the filler and shows many studies to illustrate his point. He’s awesome!

Assuming that you know my politics was a stupid error. If am a fiscal conservative and I vote republican, along with 50% of Americans. I’ve ignored your assumptions twice, I’m done.

I love your podcast, great info and your accent is lovely to listen to as an American. However, your focus and vitriol directed at a former president of a, foreign to you, nation is too much. Worry about your own house, first.

I’ve listened to every episode of nudge to date. For hours a day i binged Nudge over my winter break to help me prep for a senior thesis, to be at least introduced to a wide range of ideas. That it did. Through Nudge, my knowledge of marketing principles, behavior economics has 10x’d; i’ve read great books from authors like Richard Shotten, Rory Sutherland, and Matt Johnson, after an introduction through Nudge. That all being said, coming back to Nudge after dabbling with other podcasts allows me to say confidently that Phil, the host, is not very lively. Nudge is like an emotionless BBC talk show. It’s a vibe for some people (see other reviews), just not for me. Not very engaging. Phil is, however, ridiculously persistent and has that “grindset” (see marathon story) so I expect him to see success at the top of the charts soon enough :)

I cannot recommend this podcast enough! This is one of the few podcasts that actually captures my attention and holds it for the duration of each episode. I find behavioral economics fascinating and, come to find out, I’ve been using it within my own marketing without even being aware of it. Thank you, Phil, for all your time and effort to share these insights!

I’m so happy I found this podcast. As a solopreneur, I need all the help I can get with my marketing. Prior to finding Nudge, I really believed that marketing tips were destined always to come from shouty people who seem frankly narcissistic. But Phill is so easy to listen to; there’s something gentle and trustworthy about how he shares his tips. He puts each episode together with such care too; I know every minute of the podcast will be worth listening to. I listen to each one feeling like I’m having a phone call with a good friend. Thank you Phill!

Informative, practical, and easy to digest. Packs a lot of info and data into a 20 minute show. Great guests and format. Even if you are not in marketing the science behind it is fascinating.
