True gentleman with a love and passion for bourbon and all things related! We also met many other Roadies and they truly are family! We now listen every Monday and Wednesday and look forward to another trip down the Bourbon Road! 5 Stars

This podcast gets me through my long days working as a contractor doing remodel jobs day after day. These two guys are the essence of Kentucky Gentlemen. They are truly kind, considerate and very accommodating to their guests. For that reason, they get offered many opportunities to have genuine conversations with people from all over the bourbon industry. Most importantly, they often get invited back to review more stuff! Great show! Guys come off as just two genuine and down to earth people. Show is entertaining and easy listening. They don’t seem to try to hard and their banter seems to come naturally . I’ve been listening to The Bourbon Road for a year now. It’s the best bourbon podcast in my opinion, I can listen to them talk for hours. It’s exactly like you are sitting at a table drinking bourbon with them. I love that they are invested in bringing great quality and information to the bourbon community and listener’s. It's so refreshing listening to Jim and Mike on The Bourbon Road. There's no constant rambling about other stuff to try to make the podcast interesting like so many others do. These guys truly love what they do and it shows! Kick back, relax and enjoy the listen. You won't regret it.

Jim and Mike have a great show here. I recently found them from someone sharing the Makers Mark episode. My commute to work is right about an hour in the evenings. I live that they have real folks in the industry to talk about whiskey and their process. I absolutely love the histories and the stories from their guests. Keep up the good work guys.

I have listened to many podcasts on the beloved brown water, and I am very impressed with The Bourbon Road! They go into depths of the distillers and industry makers and do it well. Their relationships with those in bourbon gives you greater understanding. Wish I found them before our trip to the Bourbon Trail last Feb, but now have better ideas for the next trip. I found the Bourbon Road completely on a whim while searching for reviews of a specific bottle. This podcast has quickly become my favorite whiskey-centric podcast on the airwaves. The chemistry between Jim and Mike (Big Chief) is absolutely contagious, while their commentary is both extremely informative and entertaining. Their Craft Distillery Monday features reviews of highly-relevant releases from new craft distilleries, with the occasional available release from the ‘Big Boys’. Their long form Wednesday episodes offer great interviews from the biggest movers and shakers in the American whiskey industry, or the occasional deep dive on a few bottles where Jim and Mike sit down together to discuss a given topic. I eagerly look forward to every episode release each Monday and Wednesday- give these jokers a listen!!

My buddy and I just got back from a great road trip from Fort Worth to Kentucky. We visited 10 or so distilleries and on our way back we listened to the podcast and loved it. Thank you for the great content.

Mike and Jim do a wonderful job of introducing beginners to bourbon and really show what bourbon culture is all about!

Bourbon has deep roots in KY culture and The Bourbon Road keeps that culture going by sharing some great bourbon picks and history. With it being so hard (or impossible in some cases) to go visit distilleries this is a fantastic alternative (except I don’t get my tasting included 😂). Keep sharing the wealth of knowledge!

I found this podcast after a week long trip to Tennessee and Kentucky where I visited 22 distilleries. I was hooked on learning about Bourbon and understanding how it is part of American heritage and history. Until last November, I had hated the smell of whiskey for 20 years. After getting COVID and losing my taste and smell, I decided to try bourbon hoping that I would grow to enjoy it as my senses returned. It worked. Jim and Mike have opened my eyes to a whole new part of life I feel like I was missing out on. Listening to them is like listening to two well seasoned guys (like my dad or grandpa and their buddies) that connect to their listeners from a genuine love of life and bourbon. I’m hooked. Keep the podcasts coming.

As a relative newcomer to the whiskey scene, The Bourbon Road has been an amazing resource to help me learn about the history of a truly American beverage as well as about how it’s made, aged etc. But I don’t want to leave anyone thinking it’s solely ‘informational’ - there’s a lot of fun to be had listening and I the back and forth on their shows. Can’t recommend this community highly enough!
