    What a deep dive!
I really feel like I learned all of the aspects of the film making process for Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Fascinating stuff! If you love 80s movies and you want to learn everything about your favorites, this is the pod for you.

    Incredibly entertaining
More than just a movie review podcast, Edward organizes many episodes by theme, director, or film distributor. For example, in 2023 he released a 5-part series on the early films of Miramax, and an entire episode on the Marvel films of the decade. He has a great voice and conversational style. Also, all of his podcasts are less than an hour long (and many less than 30 mins) — no filler, just good research and analysis!

80's movies never had it that good.
Edward is thorough in his research, entertaining with stories of the movies and history of the 80’s. I’m impressed with the professionalism. The stories were engrossing and I looked up after what I thought was 10 minutes and I was 40 minutes into an episode. If you love the 80’s, this is the movie podcast you need to listen to.

    The History of Rambo
The History of First Blood was my first episode. Yes as m not be a Rambo fan. Not certain I watched all of it. I appreciate the lesson in the making of the movies. I love the information and the narration Enjoy this podcast. Excellent voice and content. Looking forward to more.

    The Baseball Episode
However, there were a couple of errors in the baseball episode. In 2024, we will be 36 years removed from the release of BULL DURHAM. In 1988, BULL DURHAM was 46 years removed from THE PRIDE OF THE YANKEES (1942). Also, maybe I misheard or there was an issue with audio but I could have sworn you said RAY Campanella instead of ROY. I don’t mean to nitpick because I do love the podcast. Anytime I can learn something new about my favorite decade of moviegoing is a win.

Have you ever wanted to know more about 80s film lore?
Host Edward from The FIlmJerk podcast uses the his vast knowledge to carefully curate each episode. The amount of Film knowledge is a valuable resource.

    FilmJerk? Not so much.
Edward’s lecture approach to the episodes admittedly isn’t for everyone, but if it is up your alley, it’s well worth the listen. FJ takes you beyond the basics of the film (i.e. Who starred/directed, release date, etc.) and takes you behind the scenes as to how and why various films, studios and companies succeeded and/or failed while mixing in his experiences and anecdotes from a long career in the movie theater industry.

    Don't f#%k this up Mitchell!
Most movie podcasts are review type episodes. Not this episode I listened to. This guy did his research and gives you a lot of trivia and information on the production side of the film. It’s a history lesson on the movie. I checked out Three O’clock High and boy did I learn a bunch of new info! I love this movie and had no idea on the history with Steven Spielberg and this film! You earned yourself a new listener! 5 Stars

Good Deep Dive into the movie biz
Edward does a fantastic job doing the work of deep diving into the history of the topic he is covering. Clear and concise he translates the research and box office numbers into a topic that anyone can follow.

    Another narrator.
Is there anyway you can have another narrator, voice over person. Your voice and delivery is dull without any sort of dynamic range or emotion. I find the narration annoying, it’s like a guy at his desk at home reading a book report he just wrote. Try to take your production to a higher level, which would start with a more professional narrator.

    A real cinephile.
It’s clear that Edward loves film like few others and wants you to love it with him. The episodes are always carefully researched with fact and anecdotes you won’t find anywhere else. It’s always a pleasure to listen to Edward’s trips through film history and down LA and Santa Cruz memory lane.
