Listening to Ryan and Sophie feel so helpless about politics in 2025 is actually quite entertaining! I can’t help but think, how did the other side feel for the past four years? Welcome to the real world—it's not so bad after all! It looks like we might finally be making some progress in clearing out a lot of corruption. I tune in to hear your thoughts for entertainment, and I couldn’t help but chuckle as you echoed my own frustrations from the last four years. That said, maybe we could steer back to the entertainment topics? If I want to dive into politics, I’ll just switch to another podcast!

The content is ok, but his impressions are like nails on a chalkboard. So bad. It got so distracting, had to turn to change to another podcast.

Update- He continues to make teenage boy sexual jokes and then laughs at them when they r not funny at all. And the voices r terrible. Wish he would go back to how he was in the beginning. I have been to see the Watch What Crappens guys live twice when they have come to my city and would go see them again. Ryan has talked about doing lives and I would never pay to go see him after what he has evolved into. Such a disappointment after listening to him from the beginning. Used to really love this podcast. But now it took him over 40 minutes of my fast forwarding to get to the actual content he advertises. It’s like this is just a podcast for him to talk about anything. I want reviews and opinions of the real housewives, not 40 minutes of him laughing and talking about nothing relevant. Update again 2/7/25- still with the teenage boy humor. The latest one about the rhoslc reunion, after making multiple references to the size of the husbands penises, he makes a comment that this is family show so turn it off if the kids are listening because he is going to cuss. Like it’s ok for kids to hear about the size of male penises? He has just gotten so inappropriate. Not to mention that the voices he uses r annoying. I don’t need to hear “I say I say I say” when he is talking about what Sutton has said in a recap. I love Betches but disappointed that they r supporting this and not giving him any feedback.

I found Ryan through the Jeff Lewis show. First off he has a great radio voice. He covers a little bit of everything and not just Housewives. I find that other solo podcasters have blank airspace and lose train of thought at times. That is not the case with Ryan. He is continuously talking. It makes my day at the office go by a little quicker.

The 40 minute stream of consciousness before he gets to the story is not authentic or cute, but reflects poor time management and makes me feel chaotic until a guest arrives. Also I imagine it's hard to balance this from a male pov, but feels very much like he's afraid of Blake's army.

I love that Ryan consumes pop culture and popular media the same way I do but he still surprises me. His interview questions are really well researched and purposeful. His recaps are long and peppered with fun insights and sometimes serious commentary. Best of all, he understands that we are free to watch/listen as we want/need. Skip the long-form recaps if they’re not for you. Go straight to the interviews if you’re interested in hearing them. But please support someone who so passionately and purposefully presents popular media and shows, that most of us merely view as leisurely hobbies, as valuable content that contributes to our experiences as human beings. Rooting for you, Ryan!

Ryan guested on a couple other pods I follow and I was so struck by his energy and commentary. Gave his latest Blocked By Jax episode a listen and immediately followed. What a wonderful blend of pop culture insight, funny quips, and touching vulnerability. Ryan seems self aware, thoughtful, and just a total pro at this. So looking forward to listening to more episodes! Follow up review- still loving Ryan’s commentary on all things pop culture but especially appreciated his episode with guest host Sam Sanders. Ryan can touch on topics like the inauguration with thoughtfulness and strikes a great balance of levity and awareness. Also LOVE the conversation with Sam- hoping to hear more from them both together!

It’s become a transcript reading of the episodes. Done in the cringiest voice work. Ears nearly bled. Did not feel safe on the road.

I wrestle with unfollowing each day. The recaps in the voices … they are way too long. We don’t need to listen to a replay of an entire episode. I can handle the voices in moderation but I struggle with listening to an entire episode back in the voices. However, I love what he has to say when he is not doing the voices and word by word recaps - so I still listen, hoping to get more of what he authentically has to say…. We shall see.

Love this show but extremely upset by Ryan and Sophie’s conversation around the TikTok ban. If you want less screen time monitor that yourself. The gov shouldn’t be censoring and suppressing our free speech. Truly a wild and out of touch conversation…

I’ve always enjoyed this podcast but if Ryan wants to keep listeners he really needs to let up on the sinus journey. It’s gross and uninteresting.

Ryan is so wonderful and talented, I enjoy his pods that are more focused on deep diving and actually talking about the shows and the people. The recaps get long and hard to make it through- I wish he did more general commentary eps 💯🙏🏼

Like his Bravo takes, but the Blake Lively coverage is extremely stilted- very disappointing since he hasn’t even read through the counter argument and already has a closed mind. Disappointing. Would have liked a balanced discussion.
