TexasTravGreat informationThe Team Principal podcast with Otmar was very informative. He is so well spoken that I felt very engaged in the interview. More of Otmar please!
-
shadowninja1099One of my favorite F1 showsI really enjoyed the discussion about the upcoming F1 film, even though Scott is the master of uninformed speculation (always ;-) Let's hope the film meets our hopes!
-
BobbyKnightsTravel TipsMy favorite part of this show is usually the first 5 minutes when you can get some really really great travel insight from Scott. Doesn’t sound petty or ungrateful at all. You’ll know every poorly signed street on the way to the paddock as well as the finest of airports to be tired in in no time!
-
LucianoVPerdomoGreat show, cringey fan questionsThe fan questions are either people with 0 wheel knowledge trying to sound smart in front of the experts, or people wrapping their own bias/opinion in a rhetorical question for the sole purpose of getting their opinion stated on the podcast.
-
KFJ94First in our heartsStarted listening to a bunch of F1 podcasts after getting into DTS earlier this year and seeing this show on the athletic. The breakdowns on car design here were mind expanding. The weekly insights and recaps are great. One of my absolute favorites- smart, even-handed, serious without being self-serious.
-
YupOkayStop Spoiling the GP in your Titles!Great show but use different titles
-
stopaskingforthisExcellent analysis!I love this podcast for their measured approach and deep analysis. They are my immediate go to for every race review and breaking news. My only request is if Ben Anderson is going to be on more often it would be great if he would interrupt waaaayyyy less. I don’t need his take on EVERYTHING, all the other hosts wait their turn or at least waits for the full point to be made before chiming in with their take in the moment. He’s the only one that does this nonstop and it sticks out and makes the listening less enjoyable. But the overall content is so great I’ll listen anyway! Great job!
-
flangeslammerGenuinely patheticthese goobers needed The Athletic to back them because their little paywall’s and memberships weren’t working for them because they are absolutely awful personalities to follow. just an ugly old-boys club of F1 platform with hosts given microphones and being told they matter before they hit record each episode. but they aren’t interesting and they don’t matter so don’t waste your time.
-
MylarHylifeSmart and approachableNot that these guys aren’t prone to a bit of silliness but their approach makes you feel like an f1 insider. They appreciate the history of the sport and the engineering/technology that keeps f1 at the pinnacle. Are able to explain it to a wide range of audiences from those looking for the tech bits and even those just looking for the latest “silly season” news. They are pros with a nice dose of humbleness that makes it always a good listen.
-
Mombo-ManGood job….no excellent job.Edd, Marc and Scott are the best when it comes to F1. Knowledge, experience with locations, tracks and histories make these “The Race” educational and insightful. Keep these guys on your subscription list and you will dazzle your fellow fans.
-
NoahwhohascatnamedfluffySay what you willYou half to admit that they are talking about what they are passionate about and they are bound to be biased if you are looking for non biased the race offers a podcast about the tech and if that is not good enough for you that look for the official ones instead. Also womp womp if things get spoiled if your looking just listen or unsubscribe from them and stop listening.
-
HinandBoringBland, monotone, boring
-
Anar SeyfIn five words or less:“Ben, stop interrupting everyone!” Edd, Glenn & co. — please smack Ben over the head with a pillow each time he does this. Once the desired effect is achieved, I’ll upgrade this review to 5 stars.
-
1987tws1987Stop the spoiler titles! This is genuinely a great podcast with interesting insights, but for the love of god stop putting spoilers in your podcast titles! Some of us have work/kids/time zones that prevent us from watching right away and this is the 3rd time the Race has spoiled the result for me this season. I’m sadly going to unsubscribe bc I don’t want the winning driver broadcast on my dash everytime I plug my phone into my car to listen to a non-F1 podcast or use nav. Would happily resubscribe and consequently listen more often if they could fix this. Just call it “British Grand Prix Race Review” like Missed Apex and others do.
-
jingarocksPls stop putting race results in the title of the show.Hi - This would be 5 stars but for the fact that you frequently give away the race results in the title of the podcast. We are 9 hours after you in the US and we wait until the evening to watch. So it’s unfortunate to look for a different podcast during the day (before the evening viewing) and see the results in the title of your episode. As Ed would point out we can all improve just a little bit more no matter what level of performance we’re at. :-) Otherwise great stuff!
-
amirzxcYour usual British media!I wonder if any of you guys have watched Max’s onboard before commenting on Max vs Lando crash! I wish you would be more independent and do your own investigation and analysis instead of quoting other biased F1 figures and just backing Lanod! I guess you guys are also like the rest of British media!
-
YanktheMikeLiterally one stop shoppingI’m writing this review now as I have just joined after listening for free for years. These guys provide multiple perspectives and viewpoints in an unbiased and often amusing way, but you never feel like they left a topic uncovered. Fair in their judgements, but not pedantic, no matter who the hosts are
-
ghggggghggghggIs this The Race WTF1 moment? So they are behind a pay wall now!?
-
provxoutThe Race is the bestThese guys are so good. Best F1 coverage out there.
-
RcpoweredThe Race-istThe prejudice against Perez (or any driver of any other nationality..) is just unbelievable. It’s just shocking. And they don’t seem to notice at all! I’ve been listening for a long time, unfortunately It has become unbearable to listen to. So much arrogance and pretentious posturing….. British bias at its worst.
-
MaryannbrittThe Race(ist) - 100% unprofessionalSkip it! This podcast is biased and extremely racist. Do better!
-
Tarik AhmedGreatLove the show. They’ve got great knowledge and are professional. The one drawback is that the have a betting company as a sponsor which is really unethical for a sports show. This might drive me away.
-
Maigus CatSpoiled Miami race results in titleI find it shocking that these guys are F1 accredited journalists while the Missed Apex team are not and they’re producing much better content despite being enthusiasts working from home and generally not on site. Edd Straw’s intros are typically contradictory both sides type comments of no actual value. I wanted to try what I thought was a new F1 podcast and gave these guys a few episodes to impress me but no. Continuing on my previous comments, in today’s post-Suzuki pod, Scott Mitchell-Malm manages to get the facts wrong by his third sentence - sooner than usual. The red flag was thrown 1 second before Gasley saw the truck on track (or at least it was visible in the replay). Gasley was moving well slower than typical traffic through that section but was chasing the pack of cars following his safety car pit stop. I really don’t understand why these guys are considered professional journalists, they’re more than happy to opine without facts about other aspects of this very controversial race where Verstappen won the title. This isn’t journalism, this is punditry, which is possibly the worst insult I could throw. Again, the Missed Apex team is more professional, had more sourced facts about the various controversies, and generally provided more interesting technical roundup despite The Race having Gary Anderson, who, let’s face it, just mumbles and rambles when given the chance to answer questions, which generally he doesn’t actually answer. He should be off mic and his commentary filtered by two humans and then reported, instead.

Iamnotarobot0101001Allows me to survive my drivesI love listening to Edd et al while I deliver parcels. Great insight and analysis without the press release phoniness of most sport journalism. Love it!
-
hhfshndd224You’re Teasing Customers w/ Subscriber Only CastsI’ll NEVER listen to one of your casts again. You’re clearly taking non-paying listeners for granted when you tease us w/ your Verstappen Q & A ep that’s available only to subscribers. While you’re a solid enough F1 source, you’re nowhere interesting or informative enough to justify extortion or teasing. I hope other listeners follow my lead and send you and any other greedy podcasters the way of US broadcast TV, an industry that put their best shows on streaming, resulting in losses of over-the-air and streaming -viewers.
-
le olde appleYet another racist English podcastEvery driver is great in their eyes except the Mexican one. They must think other people don’t speak more than one language like them. They always have an excuse for the other drivers on the grid. But PER has to be out. Just another podcast full of the same dribble
-
Lvmeganfine line between journalism & twitter“die hard Leclerc fans” “obsession” “might stem from drive to survive” it’s unfortunate that this podcast which had the opportunity to analyze and compare the genuine pace and car setups between the two Ferraris to give us a look at the rest of the season chose to focus on making thinly veiled sexist commentary
-
Idontknow04Lots of speculation, little contentThe hosts talk a lot and say almost nothing. Take for example the recent episode on Red Bull and Horner. Almost 30 minutes of pure speculation during which they repeat over and over they actually don’t know much.
-
King of cars 2005F1 podcastI love this podcast. Keep up the good work.
-
A middle aged dogThe worst f1 podcastincredibly boring and monotone hosts and guests . Some of them are comically bland … good for sleeping
-
Michigan Man2216Best of the British BiasIf you want all Lewis all day you have your channel Gary Anderson has lost his mind
-
DrewciousSnow is Sweden is global warming!Stick to race cars silly Sally.
-
SkAzi_GmsBest among the rest of F1 punditsIit’s one of the best F1 Pods .. if you really I mean really follow F1 that you know what I am talking about.. Keep it up
-
DrivesLikeJehuA "don't miss" podcastI've listened to this since day one having given up on the egotistical drivel coming from some other F1 podcasts. This one is always full of information presented in an engaging manner. I keep up with it even when traveling.
-
2wheelcowboyStop having ValPlease stop having Val on the show. He does nothing but rambles while trying to be funny He brings nothing to this podcast and only detracts from it. 5 stars when the usual suspects are on, 2 stars when Val is on. It’s an easy not listen when I hear he’s on. It’s just rambling and contradictory non sense from him.
-
VsgbeatriceComically misinformedThey sound like British uncles, but they get very basic facts wrong in, quite literally, every episode. Google is free, gentlemen. Also, they love McLaren and a bit of racism when it suits them.
-
BentheredGiving up on this - just RedBull fanboysOk, so after best race of the season (Singapore) these guys open the show lamenting what went wrong for RedBull, and did not mention the winner, Sainz, until 17 mins!!! Just rename the show “RedBull fan boys” and go elsewhere for podcasts on the rest of F1….
-
JdbdbofhbaidGreat pod but…Love the podcast but the voice of Gary Anderson is unlistenable and I have to turn it off whenever he speaks. It’s like nails on a chalkboard
-
V-10 loving AidenVery ImpressiveAmazing. I would rank this in my top three of favorite podcasts to listen to.🙂
-
knox_sportxListening less and lessI used to listen more frequently, but my (possibly false) impression is that there’s an undercurrent for everyone to be unnecessarily verbose, in order to make episodes longer and squeeze in more advertising. And I hate to get personal, but could someone also please coach Josh Suttill on how to verbalize a succinct answer? He may rock print media, but if the Aston Martin-Honda inside line episode was any indication, he provided the same information within each answer at least 2 to 3 times. It’s like he got lost in what he’d already said, or was nervous (hard to believe). Thankfully Edd Straw usually keeps things on track! Cheers.
-
pleasentpandaSports bettingThe two minute long sports betting ads that are 75% legal disclosure are really painful, I am finding myself turning off episodes because the content isn’t worth the horrid ads. Edit: there are now 5 minutes of ads at the beginning of each episode. The content is absolutely not worth it. Episode titles have spoilers too!
-
PackgoatSuch smart conversation!I love a good race. I love engineering and talented athletes. I love the conversation about all this. But the thing I love most about this particular podcast is the intelligent , insightful , and exquisite manner in which they analyze everything. These guys are mature and slyly witty. The podcast is addictive solely on its basis of being the best conversation available—regardless of the topic!
-
Will's Single Fin MentalitySkip this oneThe hosts on this podcast are terrible. Best that you skip this podcast. I’ve never heard F1 so boring. The technical analysis isn’t insightful either. The pro-British bias is also insufferable.
-
Spider-MineGood infoAppreciate all of the insights into the sport. Hopefully y’all survive this season with Mercedes not cruising to easy victories. You guys tend to lean heavy into the Mercedes bias, but I still appreciate the great info. A British media thing I guess. Anyways, keep up the good work. Cheers.
-
LanceF1Too many adsUsed to be a good source for info, but it has been becoming more biased, and chock full of too many ads/partners. Skip it
-
mmh30436UnfortunateSadly this show is rendered completely useless by the overwhelming pro-British bias. It’s absurd. After hoping for the last year that something would change in that regard, it’s clear that it’s not ever going to change.
-
Stephy 1235Enough with the ads already1. Cant deal with the 5 minute long ads about gambling, etc. 2. So low-energy. While the technical explanations are very insightful, I find myself often losing focus on the majority of the content. The hosts are so monotone, there’s hardly any actual banter going back and forth. It sounds as if they read a script for the entirety of the podcast. Where’s the passion?! 3. A lot of British bias and favorable coverage towards Merc and Merc drivers. As an American who is not simping for Merc, I am not here for it.
-
Ralph is deathToo much simping for adsThis podcast is really good but the amount of ads they have in the podcast is just ridiculous. How many times do I need to be sold on gambling? Not to mention that ad is absurdly long.
-
carmveeMy #1 for F1 contentGreat behind scenes information, knowledgeable hosts & overall great content! I wish you could do a live show in Midwest America 🇺🇸. For now, I will just listen to every episode. Thanks so much!
-
WarriorJAGThe Arhletic is NOT inclusiveBlame Mark Lazarus and his anti-inclusive posts for bringing politics and social issues into sports. The Athletic goes beyond sports to make comments about hockey players who refuse to wear gay-supporting jerseys. Not inclusive in content. Sad b/c I have enjoyed this podcast until politics by The Athletic entered the discussion. Inclusivity unless one disagrees with the LGBTQ+^#%{£¥ agenda then Lazarus posts ignorant and nasty tweets. I watch sports and listen to sports podcasts to get away from the kook social policies of today. Unsubscribed. Would rate 0 if I could.
