ImJustaGuyBiMyself š©·ššThank you for this amazing podcast! This podcast has really helped me to figure out my queer identity within the church and learn and grow to understand where I fit in the church! Thank you to all the people on the podcast who make this amazing!

supercharbos12345WHYwhy does every podcast have to say anything about lgbtq it causes hate for them BECAUSE LGBTQ IS POLARIZING
-
Hines21ašššššI have been listening to your podcast for some time now. I do not have any personal connection to the LGBTQ+ community but was drawn to your podcast because of the genuine love that came from it. Through your podcast I have been able to see those around me through eyes of love. Thank you!

AllenAd2020An Interesting PodcastThis is an interesting podcast. While they mean well, they are trying to do the impossible, which is striving to live the Gospel while simultaneously ignoring fundamental doctrines. Gay members who want to live the commandments will walk away feeling more confused after listening to this podcast. And straight members who want to see the Church change their position on marriage will walk away confirmed in their erroneous thinking. While I am sympathetic towards my gay brothers and sisters, my loyalty is to Christ and His laws. āWhile we are to emulate our Saviorās kindness and compassion, while we are to value the rights and feelings of all of Godās children, we cannot change His doctrine. It is not ours to change. His doctrine is ours to study, understand, and uphold.ā -Decisions for Eternity by President Nelson

DrJSKI'm not aloneI love this podcast. It doesn't stray away from harder issues, it shares real perspectives and stories in a down to earth, noon preachy way. Ben and Charlie let others know that there is room for everyone and that each person's story matters. Thank you.
-
carlyle_2.0Love these two guys and their myriad of guestsI truly think Charlie and Ben are doing Gods work with this show. As an ace lds girl with a lot of gay church friends this podcast makes me feel like I can keep going in the gospel even when I donāt have anything else to hang onto. Definetly makes me feel stronger knowing that thereās people out there who want to look at things critically and spiritually when discussing the fragile relationship between the church and their marginalized members as well as the things that just come out of having a queer identity. Itās such an important and amazing series that I would recommend to anyone whether or not theyāre gay or lds š

star_man101ComfortThis podcast has became my comfort podcast just the idea that I donāt have to choose between my sexuality and religion is so comforting. Thank you so much

EJB2Unrealistic and sadThe Mormon doctrine is that gays will be fixed and assigned a proper spouse on the other side of this life if they are righteous enough. This show pretends that you can be Mormon and gay and happy. You canāt. You can chose live in this life or salvation in the next. Not both. (Charlie is now technically an apostate BTW) That is a toxic and dangerous message especially to LGBTQ youth. Just listening to some of these episodes shows how problematic this is. And all it does is allows cis het Mormons to point and say āsee you can do it.ā

HannCattAmazing ā¤ļøš³ļøāšThis is one of my all-time favorite podcasts. I love Ben and Charlieās different personalities. This podcast has helped me to become a better ally, as well as brought me closer to Jesus Christ. I appreciate listening to perspectives from so many different people. Charlie and Ben are both so vulnerable and honest, it feels like Iām listening to two of my friends. Iām grateful to hear the things that are difficult for LGBTQ+ people so I can be aware and advocate, as well as the hope that can still be found through Jesus Christ. I always feel the Spirit when I listen to this podcast, but not really in the āconfirming and comfortableā way. It stretches my mind and heart. Definitely give this podcast a listen! (P.S. Charlie is a Swiftie which makes it all that much better. š«¶š»)

58527BeccaGrace and wisdomI have learned so much listening to your podcast. Your faith in the midst of uncertainty is so encouraging and beautiful. And the way you talk to each other is an amazing example of a friendship/relationship full of honesty and charity. You are pioneers showing me (and many others) how to love others and let go of judgement.
-
Trying to connectThank you!I just recently discovered this podcast. The few Iāve listened to have been amazing. The early episodes about Patriarchal Blessings and the Family Proclamation were especially helpful and timely for me to hear. They provided me with hope and peace. Thank you Charlie and Ben!

šÆš¦šøš¦šÆMaking Being LGBTQIA+ and LDS a little less scaryIāve enjoyed listening to the conversations that are had in these podcast. Especially when they are about questions I have myself. I really enjoyed the episode about asexuality because itās nice seeing that some people are just curious and want to understand more about my identity. You guys are informative and funny and it makes the world of being both feel a little less scary.

rarofsunshineUplifting PodcastLove how Charlie and Ben have created a podcast that is so real, compassionate and just uplifting. Not only am I learning, but Iām cultivating understanding for my LGBTQ brothers and sisters and feeling the Spirit and laughing in equal parts: thank you for the work you are doing!

James8097Healinglike a balm in gilead. whatever youāre carrying around, chose one episode and lay your burden down. you wonāt be sorry, and you just might find less doubt and more promise in your relationship with Christ. bless these men for their transparency and vulnerability. I needed this.

RjbokcI LOVE CHARLIE AND BEN!!!I love these guys! Iāve gained a lot of understanding and compassion from listening to these and other voices in this space. Iāve laughed, cried and learned a lot from them. I love their willingness to be open, vulnerable and authentic. I love their friendly banter and think they are hilarious and fun to listen to. I feel like we should be bestiesā¦next time youāre in Phoenix come over for chips and guacamole.

Joshua Sykes =]šGrateful for this podcast and the fun conversations =] Also thankful for the vulnerable openness that all share in the many interviews and discussions - centered on the experiences of LGBTQ Latter-day Saints

YvidanI now have better understanding!I have several family members, members of the LGTBQ+ community, that were not included or treated like everyone else in the family, I didnāt learn to associate with them in the healthy way, I had no role model for this, I wish this podcast or even any option of learning to love everyone like I have learned by listening to this podcast, had existed in my time. Thank you Ben and Charlie, I have become a better person and member of the LDS church by listening to you. It is never too late to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ.

NUPTLike a warm blanketTwo of my children have come out as members of the LGBTQ+ community during the last 18 months, and I have had so many questions and some concerns. My kids talk to me, but what this podcast has done for me is exactly what Ben & Charlie say they wantā¦give me another perspective. It always gives me something to ponder, and frequently brings me so much comfort. Iād give it 6 stars if I could!

gardenernjbFostering a relationship with GodI loved this episode and listening to Tami. She is so open. I never thought of having a secure attachment to God. I studied child development and learned a lot about how damaging it can be when children donāt have a secure attachment to their caregiver when very young. Now I can look at God as a being who loves me and that I can have a secure attachment to him through studying the scriptures and praying. It was neat to hear Tami talk about how her relationship with God has changed from this knowledge. I have a lot to work on and pray about to get there. I love your show and listen every week. It has taught me how important it is for me to be an ally for LGBTQ people.

cant find a good nick name! This is a lie.Romans 1:23-32. No offense, but a 13 year-old knows this is wrong.

Tarzan 47Tough conversation.Last episode seemed dark. Iām so sorry you two feel so sad. We do love you. We do need you. When I see you and hear the goodness in you I āsee celestial ā. Keep up your goodness, you are doing amazing and helping others understand through your strength and struggles.

KrissygiflHGreat Place to Start!Canāt say how great it is to feel a sense of direction from this show.

TaraBen80ConferenceI love the perspectives about listening to hurtful things at conference. I love what Ben said at the end about an Apostle cutting off the Roman soldiers ear and Jesus performing his last miracle by healing that ear. Apostles do think they are doing what is right but in the end may hurt but Jesus will heal. Jesus will always heal.

LeeleemageeleeMinistering in a Higher and Holier WayAs a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a mother of 6 (3 of whom have come out as LGBTQ+), I thank God for this podcast! Iāve been in low places on this journey, places of heartache, confusion, anger, fear, etc. and these guys have ministered to my soul. I recently felt healing through their episode 2 of season 6 about conference. Neil L. Andersen used Thomas L. Kayās poem in his talk /article āMinistering in a Holier Way,ā and it perfectly describes how I feel about Ben and Charlie: āThank God for all who give relief for those who really care Who put their arms around the weak and plead for them in prayer Thank God for those who hear the heart and listen to the words Who know a look or gentle touch mean more than all the world Thank God for those who lift the hands and strengthen feeble knees Who go about restoring souls in quiet ministry.ā Keep up the good work, the ministering, and may God strengthen you to do so. š

rockerrrmomA Valuable Resource! As someone trying to understand the LDS LGBTQ experience, Ben and Charlieās vulnerability and courage to talk about this subject has really opened my mind to more understanding and my heart to more love. Thank you Ben and Charlie!!
-
kashfancesAmazing podcastAs a young person who has been coming to terms with my sexuality my therapist recommended me this podcast. And it has helped me so much even though I still donāt really believe in the church it has still helped me find my way and be able to see other perspectives on this stuff.
-
YoDanYoMighty Change of HeartMy heart and mind have completely changed. First, I feel closer to God and Jesus Christ as I understand and see others more completely. Second, my perception of LGBTQ was wrong. I was only paying attention to headlines where people with heightened emotion were condemning each other. Charle, Ben, Ty, Ryan, and others have helped me to see Godās love in a more expanded and Christ-centered perspective. Thank you for being a vehicle for the spirit to teach me. Dan

ChaelthysListen and take action! This is in my top three favorite podcasts. Every member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints needs to listen to these messages and ask the spirit what they need to do next. Not just listen but take action. This is Christ centered, life changing, rawness and vulnerability in its purest form. I LOVE this podcast. It balances the hard stuff and the hopeful stuff so well! Iām tired of being apart of an organization that isnāt living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Itās one thing to build our pristine perfect gold temples and itās another to kneel down in the dirt and do what Jesus did. These people are doing the work and need more people to join them.
-
coach JaredUplifting, Christ like, amazingIām a straight almost 50 year old guyā¦who was introduced to this podcast by my wife. This has become one of my favorite things to listen to. I feel like I have learned to see people more like Heavenly Father sees them, and I have learned more about becoming Christ like. I thought I knew the scriptures well, but there are so many insights that Iāve never considered before but have now learned from Ben, Charlie, and their guests. This is so uplifting, faith building, enlightening. I wish I had started listening way sooner. I am so impressed and admire so much the courage, resilience, faith, commitment, example and testimony of Ben, Charlie, and their guests. This just makes me feel so much more love for those around me. Thank you!

lauralkeithA window into the lives of our LGBTQ+ siblingsThis podcast has been game-changing for me in developing deeper compassion for all LGBTQ folks. Itās an incredible resource for anyone navigating this complicated space as members of Christās church and friends of the community. š³ļøāš

Dallen19!I wish everyone in the church would listen to this! This podcast has totally helped shift my prospective in such a positive way! Ben and Charlie are awesome and I love listening to them. They helped me be a better ally for the LGBTQ+ community. Awesome!

ljtrumEye opening, heart softeningI want to be a part of a church both of you are apart of. ā¤ļøyou are both so amazing. I just listened to the āCharlie falls in loveā episode, and it was so touching. Iāve loved watching your relationship with Ryan and loved hearing the origin story. Your story is beautiful. Enough random ramblings, these stories are so needed, and I am very grateful for your vulnerability.
-
janiebrainieKeep sharing.I love learning from these frank conversations

ShainiRaeHumblingGrowing up, I was taught that being homosexual was something you chose, and later when I deconstructed that belief still believed that celibacy was the only way to be ātruly happy.ā It makes me sad to think that people use Ben and Charlieās experiences to push that belief onto other people who need unconditional acceptance, love, and support. Fortunately, that hasnāt been my experience with the podcast at all. The first couple of times I listened, it was honestly scary, but I kept listening so I could know how to best support my queer loved ones, and I donāt regret it one bit, Iām hooked! I now have a much stronger relationship with a queer cousin which I had missed out on for years. I identify as a straight woman who has always been both and am pretty sure I will always be this way, but Iāve learned so much about my own sexuality and have learned to appreciate its unique jumble of ways I experience attraction, the spectrum of which those experiences occur, and itās fluidity through the years. Iāve been able to see things more clearly spiritually and have been able to find my own answers to difficult questions as a result of its open-ended-ness. Iām sure that as I continue to listen that I will learn and become so much more ā„ļø

chipilitasmomGreat podcastBen and Charlie do an amazing job at addressing these hard topics. I love listening to this podcast I have found so many answers here. Great guys!! Also, I LOVE Charlieās laugh, itās so contagious!
-
JenDilleIncredible guys!Ben and Charlie are trailblazers to carve a space for LGBTQ people in the LDS and have a graceful way of teaching everyone. Super appreciate all they do!
-
yoyoschmackDefinitely brings people to Christ!Ben and Charlie do an amazing job not only sharing their raw experiences on their journey with being outwardly gay but they are incredible living examples of 2 Nephi 25:26 āAnd we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.ā Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your stories. I sincerely looking for ways in which I can give space to those who feel different and alone, much like our Savior.

RickyLyn48An answer to prayer.Sooo many times the conversation between Ben and Charlie has been an answer to prayer. I am grateful they have been willing to be so open and share the deepest yearnings of their hearts. šš¼

okay, it's...okay.I just love this podcastI have learned so much about different wonderful beautiful members of the LGBTQ community from this podcast. I feel like Ben and Charlie have put themselves out there in a really vulnerable way, and I appreciate the bridge that theyāve made between The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the LGBTQ I a community. I know itās got to be hard for them sometimes, so I love every episode that we get! The conversations are so beautiful and honest and vulnerable, I always appreciate the questions, and itās great that it comes from two qualified therapists! I love them so much.

ToromuGood queer Latter-day Saint talkThere is still a lot of pain at the intersection of the LGBTQIA experience and the beliefs and cultural customs of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ben and Charlie do a good job at probing that intersecting space, in a way that is supportive and nonjudgmental for the variety of voices surrounding that intersection that they invite onto the show.
-
Jessy RoseThese guys are the bestI love Ben and Charlie! I have learned so much from them. I feel like they are my friends.
-
E. MadsIncredibleThis podcast does an excellent job navigating the painful and vulnerable experiences of a diverse group of Godās children. Ben and Charlie ask thoughtful questions and offer thought provoking insights all while weaving their experiences and testimonies in throughout. Really touching.

ĆozExactly what I needAs a bisexual member of the Church, Iāve struggled for years to find a space where I can feel comfortable. This podcast is that space. For a while I lurked online in a few places to see what kinds of conversations I could join, but I ended up finding a lot of negativity against the Church that really weighed on me and didnāt feel helpful to me in my journey. I longed to find people that would affirm to my identity both as an LGBTQ person and as a disciple of Jesus Christ and a committed member of the Church. And thatās what this podcast does! It has exactly the level of nuance and balance Iāve been looking for. I am incredibly grateful to Ben and Charlie for being willing to be vulnerable and share their stories and go out of their way to elevate other peopleās voices too. I appreciate how they are completely honest about the difficulties of their situation while also offering a perspective that feels hopeful and inspiring. They donāt sugar-coat the issues, ignore hurtful comments, or pretend like things are better than they are. But they also donāt focus on the negative so much that it weighs you down instead of lifting you up. Listening to this podcast makes me feel validated and supported in the things that are most important to me. It challenges my perspective in the best ways. It fills me with peace. Honestly, I think it makes me a better person. Iāve been binge listening for the last few weeks, and even in that short time I think my capacity to love others has increased because of the stories Iāve heard from people who are alike and different from me. It has helped me feel closer to God, and it makes me look forward with faith and hope for a better future for all of us. Thanks so much, Ben and Charlieāand every guest whoās been so brave and open about their experience.
-
Jiffers1234SO WONDERFULThis is my favorite podcast. Each question is so powerful and thought provoking. Ben and Charlie are funny and easy to listen to. I am grateful to have such an incredible podcast to listen to each week!
-
ben-jammin-645Life changingAbsolutely incredible podcast! Itās remarkably difficult to find perspectives on the relationship between the LGBTQ+ community and the church, and sometimes I feel helpless when trying to find answers or enact change. This podcast has brought so much peace as Iāve tried to understand Godās love and His plan for all His children. Itās made me a better ally, a better member of the church and a better person. Thank you Ben and Charlie!!!

sghoesIām Demi romantic!!!!You go girl!!! Love this pod.
