One thing I love about this podcast is the comparisons between the Japanese version and the English dub. I have watched Beastars multiple times and have read the entirety of the manga (that is out), and I love learning new things about Japanese culture that went over my head in the manga/anime. I don’t always agree with everything they say, but I do love how they are breaking down and analyzing the world itself. I wish they were a little more understanding about the character actions though, because they’re supposed to be dramatic teenagers in love. Instead, they’ll call out how “ridiculous” something is. We know it’s ridiculous/dramatic, that’s what makes it a great story in my opinion because you would never go that far/be that dramatic in real life.
