DMVFootballMonst3rMailbag: PWOs as spring portal backfills?Great show, always. Haven’t missed an episode in years. Q: do you think that as a result of spring portal shakeups that underrecruited 2025 PWOs (like ODU PWO commit Gavin Harrison) will get revisited by P4 schools looking to backfill because they are not locked in with Financial Aid Agreements?

ryanfromchicagoMailbag QuestionHey guys, how do you think Kyle Flood At Texas is doing on the recruiting trail? 2022 was an incredible class for him, 2023-2025 hasn’t produced anyone noteworthy yet… but in my opinion it’s a great sign they’ve been able to retain most of these guys despite starting 4/5 of the same guys since 2022. Also, if you could talk about some 2026 guys Felix Ojo & John Turntine III, will Turntine slide inside in CFB or go somewhere where he can play tackle? Is Ojo a RT or LT? Thanks guys, this podcast is the reason I defer to 247sports for my recruiting rankings, love the transparency! Hook’Em

The JuiceJBringing that “New-New”!Love the format, Oyster Boys! The in-depth analysis is unparalleled. Heck, the vastness of players name-bank you boys have remains untouchable by the forgotten competition. Thank you for the opportunity everyone @247 provide. - Cooper, you attack FSU more than any other ‘flat-lined’ program out there, in your history on the airwaves. Get the personal vendetta out of your head. Be better.

JJDino52Great job as always. Jason Taylor talk?!Love the freshman snaps podcast update, I’ve been curious how productive or active some of these guys have been, after all the Cormani talk. I thought K.Keeley would have seen more snaps at Bama by now, similar to Dallas Turner as a freshman. This is the second pod where you two have mentioned Jason Taylor to LSU, but you haven’t given much of a reason for this type of lateral move outside of well… his son Mason Taylor plays at LSU. It seems odd, it’s just tossed out there as if Taylor is at FIU where jumping to LSU would be a huge step-up. He’s at Miami, a P5 school, in the city where he played his entire NFL career and has established himself in the fabric of that city. • If his goal is to become a DC somewhere else in the future, he could achieve that in Miami just like LSU. He’s already recruiting Edge at an elite level and seeing production on field as well. • Mason will be a Junior next year, if one of Jason’s goals was to coach where his son plays, then I’m sure he could have easily got on LSU staff last year as an assistant similar to what he did at Miami. **Here’s an idea, Mason should transfer to Miami, he has more production this year than Miami’s entire tightend room, he’d actually play because he embraces run-blocking too. • I don’t think money would be a deciding factor for JT. I say this because rumors were he turned down an opportunity with Dolphins this past offseason, before being promoted to D-Line coach. A move to the NFL would have been much simpler for him, most likely would have paid more than his current salary with none of the headaches of year round recruiting. I just like more substance in this.

Volhalla24Love the Show!Love how calm the shows demeanor is!! Could you discuss a prospects official trip schedule, do they get there and do tours, film study? Then do they stay with players or hotels to go experience “campus lifestyle” at night? Also how much of a plus is it for Colorado recruiting to have guys like Michael Irvin on the sideline?
-
Bobby Zins5 star Info, 1/2 star energyThis has the opportunity to be the premiere recruiting show but it’s a massive disappointment. The information is unparalleled, top notch but the delivery and energy puts me to sleep and makes me on the verge of crashing my car. Great soothing monotonous rhythm if anyone needs a way to put their kid to sleep. Had so much potential
-
BbbbbpOu lands David stone nothing but crickets …Every other 5 star gets an emergency pod. Doesn’t Stone deserve one?
-
MarshJD10MailbagWould OU landing Nwaneri, Stone & McKinley change the national perspective on OU being setup for better success than Texas or is it always going be Texas just has the “leg up” on OU every year? Love the show, helps me get through my 9-5 job
-
Dominick PDominick PetrilloGreat information mail bag questionCooper and Andrew both do a wonderful job. And they give great information. Simple question. We always hear Florida, Texas, Georgia, California, and perhaps Louisiana and now Arizona has the best states for recruiting. I’m assuming Alaska would be the worst. But what are some of the other states that produce less than their fair share of recruits?

DGDZACKUGA WeaponsI think I speak for many UGA fans when I say when we landed Dylan Raiola I was beyond excited especially because of the playmakers we would attract. I’m no worried about UGA (obviously) but I’m a little underwhelmed by UGA’s WR haul this off-season. For a team who only has 1 1,000 yd receiver in program history I thought Dylan might be the high profile QB commit who would finally attract elite 5-star receivers to UGA. Are you guys surprised that some of the elite receivers in this class (Smith,Wingo, Matthews) etc. didn’t choose UGA even after Raiola’s commitment? Thanks guys love the show! -Zack

AG0997Charles LesterOf his top schools (Alabama, Georgia, FSU, and Colorado), which program/scheme do you think Lester fits best at? Not necessarily where he will choose, but which school is the best fit?
-
SAmm2433Aaron Scott Jr.What are your guys thoughts on Aaron Scott Jr? A big time recruit IMO that’s not talked about. You think he goes to Michigan or Ohio St, Commitment coming soon

MattRNich02Mailbag QuestionWhat’s up guys? This question is a follow-up to one that was asked in the last mailbag. Which G5 coaches are the best recruiters/closers? Who in particular do you guys see recruiting at a high level if/when they get brought on at a P5 school? Lastly, what attributes are necessary to successfully recruit at a G5 school? Thanks guys, big fan of the Oyster Boys!

Irish Fan 22Episode Ideas/Mailbag TopicsOne of the best pods in the business. Crucial for hardcore recruitnicks. 2 potential mailbag/episode idea suggestions: 1) Would love to get Gabe Brooks on to discuss how the different Track and Field metrics translate to Saturdays. I.E. what do discuss #’s tell us vs shotput #’s? What are the 100M, 200M, jump # cutoffs we should be eyeing for different positions? 2) War room regional comparisons. How do you compare a Mater Dei kid against a Dematha kid against a Buford kid against a Moeller kid before you have the All American circuit. Especially if a kid is injured and not able to participate in the Future 50. Would love to hear a Biggins vs Dohn vs Trieu debate for example.
-
ahhhh73Big pictureGreat content. Would like if they discussed overall strategy more. Similar to how NFL draft commentators discuss needs and fit. For example it’s great Ohio State got another 5 star WR but how much do these additional WRs move the ball forward. Are any of them going to stop Michigans run game? An interesting topic for instance, would love to hear about Georgia’s strategy. Georgia wants to own the lines and doesn’t seem to focus on having 15 5 star WRs. Another topic would be what is Michigan seeing when they identify DLine talent that otters don’t. They have so many NFL dlineman it’s crazy that aren’t 5 stars.

bbmarzGreatGreat podcast.

5_0_35* podOne of the pods I’ll go out of my way to make sure I listen to each episodes. Andrew and Cooper are both very informed and knowledgeable about the entire recruiting process and behind the scenes stuff. Would recommend to all CFB and recruiting fans. Great stuff

Alex and LilyLOVE THS SHOWI am in so many deep Devy and C2C leagues and love how you both not just talk about guys coming out now but also 2024 and 2025 class. I am amazed how you have so much info each show. If you are into recruiting and trying to better your teams for the future in fantasy this show is a MUST listen. Thanks again for so much info. I really appreciate all you guys do.
-
Kelly hochstetlerGreat insight!Love hearing about future stars and these guys give all the details on the process!

Just_25Abt time Pategna got a podcastThis channel was such a waste until this revamp. An in-depth, KNOWLEDGEABLE recruiting pod was badly needed by 247
-
lil Bill 7WiltfongJust listened to him talk up Michigan's 17th ranked class. Shameful. No mention of how disappointing it was
-
Land-ThiefTrashIf your an Oklahoma just keep on scrolling. These people will not talk about the Sooners in a good light at all!

Stevie674West coast recruiting questionI’m genuinely confused as to why Arch Mannning is ranked #1, looking at his high school tape most of his competition he plays versus look like JV teams, and he didn’t attitude any national or regional events this year, lost respect for a lot recruiting analyst. #MalachiNelson #NicholausIamaleava
-
jacobRedd go gatorsReally goodReally good podcast. Helps me keep up with recruiting for all college teams. My only problem is they talk about the west coast teams a lot. I wanna see more national coverage.

hmn1101KnowledgeableReally enjoy the recruit interviews like Singletary from a few weeks ago! Definitely would love to hear more!

dnaaggieTexas A&M?Where’s the pod letting everyone know what type of class the Ags are building? Bryce Anderson, Smoke Bouie in back to back Fridays, Aggies are building a monster on the defensive line: Ags in great shape with Walter Nolen, Bear Alexander, Omari Abor, Shemar Stewart, Ernest Cooper… am I missing anyone? Probably! Look at what they already have in the defensive backfield and in great shape with Jacoby Mathews (Friday commit coming?), Julian Humphrey and Jalen Guilbeau! Great shape with Chris Marshall, Brenen Thompson, Harold Perkins, Kam Dewberry, etc. Hard to see how they finish under 300 pts with their best class ever, possibly to 315+ and a top 3 finish, maybe #1 or 2? Sleep on Jimbo if you will, but he’s building an EPIC class!

Dark MamaElite 11My son, Evan Leggett is a QB from Washington State and was at Elite 11 LA regionals this last weekend and enjoyed being able to participate in such a great camp and was blessed to be invited to tryout. A Healthy FitThe Super Senior ConundrumHow great is the Cover 3 Podcast? If you consider that a life long Miami Hurricanes fan (we’re talking over 4 decades of attending/watching the Canes) believes that a Podcast with TWO ‘Noles on it is the finest, must listen to College football podcast in the game...well, I’d say pretty darn great. Cerebral and funny - that rare combination that never fails to educate me and make me laugh at the same time. Thanks guys you have made a tough year a little easier to bear. My question is would you drill down a little more into the future Super Seniors (players that were underclass men last year). Bud has stated that these future Super Seniors will have the extra year of eligibility- but it has not been decided by the NCAA if these future players will count against the 85 scholarship cap ( this year they do not). My guy Bud (I followed him here from B & B) also stated that G5 schools may not have the money to cover these player’s scholarships if they are exempt from the 85 cap (placing these schools at an even greater disadvantage to P5 schools that can carry greater than 85 with no problem). Also, if all schools are required to carry only 85 scholarship players the G5 could see some improved talent falling to them as HS players need somewhere to play and the P5 schools don’t have the space. Therefore, is it truly in the G5, and possibly lower tier P5 schools best interest to vote against future Super Seniors being exempt from the 85 scholarship cap? If so, do these schools have enough votes to pull it off?

InformededucatorToo much SECAlthough I do like this podcast, I find it very SEC bias. As a midwestern living on the West Coast I would like to see a little more geographically diversity.

Con ShauneryBring back the Notorious B1G podcast!!I like this pod of course, but I miss the big ten/Midwest specific recruiting news from Allen and Steve on the Notorious B1G pod! Bring it back!!! Con Shaunery
-
HenryHaddonLindAlways Love the Show!!!Could you talk briefly about all of the 5-Stars (according to 247Sports Composite) and where you think they are headed? And maybe go more in-depth on Clemson and all of their interests? Go Tigers!!! Thanks!
-
dakingofswing69Blair’s crystal ballCan you speak on your crystal ball on Cyrus moss to Oregon??
-
Gunnar955Mailbag for Andrew IvinsCan you talk about the recruitment of the four defensive stars on American Heritage: Richard Thomas, Jacolby Spells, Earl Little Jr, and Marvin Jones Jr and if your is the mood you can touch on American Heritages top RB in the 2023 class Mark Flecher.
-
mickdawg79Quinn EwersWhat are the real chances that Sark can flip Ewers back to Texas? If they can how many other top 10 Texas recruits does Sark need to win back the Home state?
-
ILbuckFantastic recruiting podcastWhat do you find nonsensical with recruiting and what are a couple suggestions you would propose to NCAA with regards to recruiting? With regards to recruiting violations, do you think the “penalty” should be stronger and rest on individual or program? Thanks guys - keep up the fantastic work Derek
-
hi025Great showHow do you see some of the QB dominoes fall out west in the next few classes with guys like Dart, Duffy, Rashada and Nelson? Is ASU an actual contender for Foreman? Love the show!
-
Diehard is a christmas movieMichiganHi Blair, was wondering if you could go over Michigans class, and dissect who is solid, who is on decommit watch, and also go over the few remaining targets, and where Michigan stands with them. Also, what effects did the recruiting weekend have on 2021 and 2022 targets? Thanks so much, and love the show
-
Kp2004More BigginsThis pod would get 5 stars if it has more Biggins with his Lakers and Angels takes

BumsbergUSC recruiting updatesDo you guys think the self recruit visit that USC just hosted made any impacts with some of the recruits that were there? Like a Korey Foreman, Ceyair Wright, Trigg etc.
-
JeffSavageIVArkansas some loveLove the podcast! As an Arkansas fan it’s been tough on the field since Petrino left, however we’ve recruited pretty well and don’t seem to get much national love. What are some guys in the class maybe a sleeper or two for Arkansas that y’all like? Who would be the best finish for this class? And lastly what’s the recipe for Coach Pittman to recruit his way above the Mississippi schools and compete more in the division.
-
moldrem21Great pod!Love how Blair incorporates analysts from all around the country! My question is how big is momentum in recruiting once you land a 5 Star QB or the top QB in the class? You’ve seen Oklahoma surge in recruiting once Caleb Williams committed and also Texas has some momentum with Quinn Ewers. Thanks
-
statedept1515Love itGreat podcast and deserving of all 5 stars, but I would love a change to the format. Right now it feels too close to the College Football Daily, but like an extended version. CFD zips to one, maybe two brief interviews which is fine. This show essentially follows that same format, but with 2 or 3 more “zoom ins” on regional stories. Just my constructive, but unsolicited opinion. Full table discussions that are lengthy (40-60 minutes) between at least 3, but ideally 4 participants and aren’t spliced together will always stay unbeaten. Thanks for the podcasts!
