giraffe428Sound too lowThe content is great, but the sound volume is lower than other podcasts, and when I turn it up for this one, the autoplay for the next one is so jarring. Can you adjust your volume to be like other podcasts?

Choster momVolume issuesFor the high quality production, work on the volume. It’s horrendous trying to hear the episode on the death doula

Van Ness ASimon and Trevor are my spirit animalsI can’t get over how I felt seen while listening to the « Trevor Hurts My Brain » episode. The bit on finding a corner or a buffet is exactly what I do. Reading books??? I used to buy haven’t in years. Small talk? I struggle and seek deep conversations but after hearing this episode, it has made me think differently of how I will use it to interact with the world around me. Thank you!

LouiseSunshineCure for loneliness (01/07/25)This podcast irritated me more than anything. It’s two men sharing that “service” is a cure. One big problem with this, personally I’m done giving people my time. I’ve been taken advantage of from so many people I will no longer give others my service. A large boundary has been placed in myself on this topic, supported by my therapist by the way. Any loneliness I’m dealing with is from a lack of community not service.

Nancy AEFInterview with Mel RobbinsI appreciate Mel Robbin’s wisdom. I have followed her off and on for quite a while. Simon, I love the way you hear, absorb, and allow the person talking to communicate with just one or two words from you to continue. You are such a nice man. Thank you for the podcast.

Sbm70Good, but…I like Simon. I like what he stands for, that he’s a big thinker, that he brings some different ideas into the conversation. But, I think that this podcast is mis-named, and I find myself challenged to listen to it. Simon is a little *too* energetic at times, and he’s prone to tangents, and mostly what I come away from this show feeling is that we have many answers to making the world better but continue to make stupid choices.

Aaron BZListenI generally enjoy this podcast and I have never written a podcast review but felt compelled after the episode with Dr. Mark Hyman. I was excited to hear Dr. Hyman speak but Simon talked over him the entire interview. Dr. Hyman tried several times to interject and get the conversation back on track and Simon kept interrupting, talking over him and going on rants. Incredibly frustrating and disappointing. A host should guide the conversation and let the guest be the voice of the episode.

CnalohaCaptivatingHis humanity and passion stands out. He’s remarkable.
-
WYOAreeNot only inspirational… but aspirationalSimon and his guests bring forth so many ideas that we as humans need these days. Not just as a light in the darkness, but as something to move towards and to be able to take action on in order to grow that light.

PastorSquidThought-provoking and important conversations! This is such important content for our world today. Thank you, Simon for your gift that you share in such a positive and intentional way. I consider you to be a conversation partner, through this medium, in my life journey. I would love to discuss these kind of ideas over a bourbon with you some time.

bcramer292Always a joy and constantly intriguedLove tuning into this podcast. I’m a newcomer to Simon and his work, but already a huge fan!

bchavardA recipe for human kindI came across this particular podcast, A bit of Optimism, in my early stages of “kicking the tires” on the whole podcast thing. What I instantly took away was a bit of optimism wasn’t all sunshines and rainbows, but the process, the recipe for finding the light in a dim, dismal, complex scenario. When life is lifing this podcast helped me have handlebars for how to approach those experiences. Through seeing the journey others went through it gave me perspective on how and why things might pivot and cause me to do so. When you gain perspective you gain a way to see why more grace, patience, listening, stepping back and leaning in are all part of the flow of understanding others, therefor understanding yourself more. I highly recommend this podcast in a world that can be so focused on just the muck and mud and not the strengths that come from that.

DocmyronChallenging thinkingEach guest challenges my thinking in so many ways. I recommend this podcast often to fellow workers, and many of our graduate students. Thanks for choosing these wonderful guests.

German GirlWisdom for Today’s World of PainGreat guests. Great conversations. My only criticism is that Simon interrupts his guests too often while they are in the middle of sharing their perspective and wisdom. Often, it feels like he needs to insert his two cents out of some type of inferior complex. It is rude and disrespectful to his guests and his listeners.

kdayracingPossibly my favorite human…Let me clarify… my wife and kids are at the top of my favorite humans list, but Simon is right up there with them. i’ve been a long time fan of Simon‘s work, both written and audio. The content he puts out with clever insight, simple instruction, and the optimism this world needs; is brilliant.

DudebistroAmenI just listened to the April 9th podcast “We cannot Heal Alone” and OMG! Simon, I loved your interpretation on service and how to show up. There is so many gems in this podcast and I plan to listen to it multiple times. I have been trying to figure out how to demonstrate that the lonely is being seen and walked away with so many ideas. You shined bright today. I hope you will consider having Rabbi Brous on again. There was great synergy between the two of you.

With his trademark wisdom and empathy, Simon engages in meaningful conversations with incredibly inspiring individuals. azxdfretbnj12A bit of optimism is so much more.Simon and team, thank you. I listen to your podcast every morning on my walk. You transport me to places and touch on ideas that are fuel for my mind and soul. I learn something everyday. From the last podcast, the concept of Delta. Seeing how far you have come. Your podcast reminds me of the Anne Murray song. A little good news. We all need a bit more optimism in our lives and you all deliver it. Thank you!

Bluecanary84Interesting conversation w/walmartThe CEO from Walmart maybe a bit naive. Or maybe this is intentional PR move. The Walton family has not ever struck me as caring two craps about the towns they destroyed along the way. So all that fluff wry stuff y’all talked about sounds kinda dumb when they devastated so much of our economy and moved it to China almost single-handed

elizabethc04No longer listeningI have been a huge fan for many years and was excited to find the podcast at the beginning of 2022. I’m unfollowing and no longer weekly listening, because of the amount of ads. This show used to have 0 ads and now its pushing product and companies during some very important conversations. If an interview comes out that I’m interested in, I’ll search it independently.

NamunksThought Provoking, Enlightening and UpliftingNever thought I would do a podcast review but here I am doing one. Simon’s podcast has become a part of my daily exercise routine. I literally look forward to listen while I ride. They are so enlightening and thought provoking that in a way it is as if you are in a personal development class! Most of all it is the positive effect it has on my mindset to that appreciate. I find myself looking forward to the question you ask each person to tell a happy story as you so succinctly sum how their story reflect their views point and approach to life. Thanks Simon for making my day and life better.

curiousbssAmazing DiscussionThe 2 part conversation with Brené Brown and Adam Grant was awesome on so many levels. It is my new favorite podcast episode of all the different thought leaders that I listen to and I look forward to hearing more. There are so many insights into the way each person thinks and how the group reconciles what they hear. Thank you for putting this together Simon Sinek!

R. (Aguila Blanca) C.Pure “Oxygenated Flow” of the Topic!I was recently turned on to Simon and his Podcast. It was such a great topic, that for sure a lot of People could definitely have benefited from, in past Relationships, and certainly could do the same for future ones as well. The topic itself was great, but even better is the relationship between Simon and the married couple that participated in it with him. Great Synergy between these three Loving Individuals. As I listened, the overall visual that I got went and clicked on multiple nerves that I can only describe as, “Pure Oxygenated Flow” of Genuine Humanity” I highly recommend this podcast to anyone interested in real tips on becoming a better… Husband, Wife, Friend, Lover and “Human Being” Thanks to all three. 👏👏👏❤️☮️🙂🤗👽😂 R. LHGilley“Music” to my earsI listen to a fair number of podcasts but I only follow and actively search for interviews of and with the following podcasters: Simon Sinek, Brené Brown, John Meecham. I wish there were more conversations on which we can be invited to “eavesdrop”. Simon, you embody inspiration! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Here’s to you!

Christa ArmyTerrible messaging by Phoebe RobinsonSuch a great podcast I’ve learned so much and went through so many episodes and bought many book rec’s … The one episode that stands out as probably the worst is the one with Phoebe Robinson. She is a bit cringy.
-
Jacob HaysThank you Simon Sinek!I never truly found joy in my work or stepped up to the level of excellence needed in my job until I found Simon Sinek’s books. His books, speaking engagements, and this podcast have truly changed my life, the way I approach difficult hot button topics, and the way I function in my job for the better. Seriously, thank you and keep doing what you are doing!
