Great vibe, love the energy - deffo have a listen!!

Whether you’re new to tabletop role playing games or a veteran player, this is the show you should be listening to. The setting is instantly engaging and Ron is a masterful game master, deftly juggling story, action, and a hilarious host of NPCs. As for the heroes of the story - Donaar, Fang, Kai, Spritz, Trax, and “The Tortle of many names” - the characters are fantastic and brilliantly played featuring a wonderful range of pitch-perfect voices and iconic characterizations. All-in-all this is easily one of the most entertaining and well-produced shows in the space. Long Live the Severed Sons!

I had started listening to the Severed Sons main campaign when one of my best friends Claire (aka the bear lady, but not that one) told me they were gonna be added to the main cast. I binge-listened to all of the Icewind Dale episodes within a couple weeks! I couldn’t stop! Such good RP with distinct and interesting characters and incredible chemistry! I found this podcast a few months ago based on a Twitter recommendation and it has been a true bright spot in my week. I don’t have a lot of time to listen to podcasts but I always make time to fit the Sons in. One of the best actual play podcasts I have listened to.

Love this podcast, I started listening a few months ago and have been waiting with bated breath for each new episode. They even throw in one shots from new WoTC books that are super fun and great for new players. I recommend it to everyone I know that loves dnd and needs a fix for some great improv role playing. Keep it up guys! Can’t wait for more!

In no time at all, I became incredibly invested in the characters in this podcast! The voices are super expressive, easy to distinguish, and fun to listen to. The story is interesting and fast paced, with nice character development added in. Love the fact that they play by the rolls!

This show has a great mix of RP and Combat

Great dedication to role play but with a side of comedy. These boys have great chemistry and the production quality is great from episode one. If you enjoy actual play pods with good pacing and character flavor you’ll dig this.

I am obsessed with this world and characters you have created. Honestly hooked right now very well done!

From the opening music to the well crafted gameplay, I feel like I am on this adventure along side the gang. Thrashmob, Shin and Finneas (don’t forget Jacobi) are really fun characters who fight bandits, introduce townsfolk to new musical genres, brood, and like belly rubs (Jacobi). The players’ quick wits keep me laughing with their zinging one liners. And as always, Ron Murphy is the guy who creates the scene and keeps it moving with his effortless DMing ability.
