Episode 134 - One of the Best
This has been on of my favorite episodes! So helpful in making connections in authorial intent from Moses to Elijah/Elisja to Jesus, continuity/discontinuity of OC and NC, and even missions. I really appreciate the discussions, brothers!

    Great Biblical Resource
I have really enjoyed this podcast , the wealth of biblical knowledge is so helpful in studying God’s word. The only thing I wish they would bring back is the original opening music, i miss hearing the piano intro and outro music on every episode. But over all this is a fantastic listen!

    Helpful supplement to Bible reading
I have loved following along as I go through these books and it’s incredible how much they show me I can miss in the text!

Bibke Talks is worth listening to!

    Listen and read along
I’m on my third time through. If you delight in God’s Word, you’ll love hearing these men delight in it too. If you have trouble reading or understanding the Bible this is a helpful supplement alongside the regular preaching of a healthy church

    SAHM and disciple maker
My husband is a youth pastor, as build leaders for the student ministry, we are equipping them in Biblical Theology as we read through the Bible annually with our team and students. Bible Talk is an excellent resource to help us diligently walk through the scriptures on our own and with those that we lead. I'm a SAHM and daily, I'm challenged and encouraged in my thinking of the scriptures. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Such a helpful addition to my devotional time
I’m a stay at home mother, and I just started listening to Bible Talk as I caught up with Priscilla talk, and what a helpful resource! Right now in the stage of life with little people around and not as much time or energy to devote to deep Bible study, I’ve found it so helpful to be listening to the podcasts alongside my Bible reading. I hope to read through the whole Old and New Testaments again this year, and this podcast has been a bolster/prod to do exactly that and glean even more from my daily readings. Thank you all so much for the careful work that you do in showing themes through the whole narrative of Scripture and not being afraid to tackle harder theological questions.

A great supplement resource to listen alongside my new year Bible reading plan in Genesis
I started a new Bible reading plan and this podcast has helped me think through some questions I’ve had as I’ve been working my way through Genesis. I grew up learning about stories in the Bible, but I was never taught the Bible as “one book” with continuous themes from the Old and New Testaments. Really looking forward to getting your helpful insights as I go. Thank you!

    Wholesome Biblical Content
In a day when podcasts are as prevalent as gas stations, it is often hard to find a consistent source of solid biblical content. This podcast is a refreshing example of clear, systematic dialogue about Scripture from scholars who love the Scripture and the people of God. One unique feature of this podcast is the emphasis on the discipline of biblical theology. The hosts labor to show how each part of the Scripture touches, exposits, and recapitulates other sections. Highly recommended for Bible teachers and preachers!

    Really encouraging and insightful
Thank you guys for this podcast. This has been a really good listening supplement to my Old Testament reading. Makes me think more deeply about the text and I learn a lot from you guys. You guys do well at interpreting scripture with scripture. You guys also do well at connecting different text in the Bible to help understand the text you are reading. Keep up the good work. Glory to God for His Word and for teachers to help explain His Word!

    Signing off
*sigh* I SO wanted to love this podcast. And I legitimately love most episodes. Good production value. Lively, in-depth discussion. A nice, slow, deep walk through scripture. But it’s 3 strikes. I’m out. 1. They insisted that Genesis 1 be read as historical narrative, when it is literally a poem. Not the end of the world, but odd coming from guys continuously stating that we need to read scripture on its terms and be aware of the authors’ intents. 2. They insisted that anyone agreeing to a 66-book canon has to be a cessationist. This was in the context of bringing up a Bethel flier advertising a dream interpretation school. VERY out of character for the show, and not much to do with biblical theology. And an absurd demand to place on people. 3. They did some weird mental gymnastics to defend the enslavement of Egyptians in order to save their lives during a famine, while making thinly veiled jabs at communism and welfare. This one did it for me. Again, veering far from biblical theology, and making some leaps in order to present all of Joseph’s actions, including enslavement, appear godly, despite scripture having plentiful examples of imperfect “chosen” people. These things make me question their goals and their intellectual honesty. I’m all for listening to stuff you disagree with, which is why I listened to so many episodes. But I only have so much headphone time.

    Who’s who?
I really enjoy the content. Helpful. Encouraging. You three gentlemen are indistinguishable in your voices. It can be disorienting from time to time. Other than that, great stuff!

    Absolute Gold!
If you want to get a digest of all the best insight from the best commentaries available this is a great tool. It has helped me prepare for teaching Sunday School lessons while I have it playing while I work or on my headphones while I workout. So many times these guys share exactly what I have been reading as I have been studying the best commentaries available combined, plus additional insights from each of the host. This is absolute gold! Thank you!

    Everywhere are chiasms…
Chiasms are everywhere, from scriptural old, In Bible's verses, their tales are told. Thoughts mirrored in patterns, a wisdom to unfold, In sacred passages, their beauty is bold. In speeches, in nature, and stories we share, Chiasms weave connections with a poetic flair. From ancient scrolls to the present's aware, Everywhere are chiasms, a pattern so rare.

    Very Useful
This podcast strikes the balance between technical exposition and congregational application. It is an extremely useful tool for teacher and listener alike. I use it to supplement other work I’ve done by listening to it on drives and workouts. More than once, I’ve had to pause it and grab a notebook. We’ll done, gentlemen. Thank you!

    One major complaint!
Love this podcast, but went back in time to get caught up on older episodes and discovered that the old intro music is way better! Bring it back!!
  • Aknoxb
Hands down the best Bible Podcast available
This podcast is designed to be listened to with your Bible open. It doesn’t just discuss major themes and takeaways from each passage, but helps you understand the the text itself as you read it - and then draw those takeaways from a careful close understanding of the text both individually and in the context of the whole book and whole message of Scripture. This podcast is like getting to sit in on the best Old Testament class in seminary - only better.

    Love the insight
I love the insight. I’ve enjoyed the podcast so much. I would love to be able to use it as a supplement to a reading plan at my church. I would love to see a published weekly reading plan that follows the podcast from start to finish.

    The Blessing of Bible Talk
“Alex and his two friends” diligently walk through some of the deepest and most complex passages in scripture and bring the truth to light in such an approachable way. They also dissect some of the passages that we are prone to overlook and skim past without much thought to bring out some incredible revelations that are buried in the Word. Practical. Engaging. Christ-Centered. And such a blessing. You will not look at the Bible the same after going through an entire book with these 3 men.

Amazing resource for growing biblical theology
This is by far the most helpful biblical theology resource I have come across, as it is accessible, edifying, entertaining, and provides such depth and color to the Bible. I hope that this podcast continues through the entire Bible, as I believe that so many people have and will continue to benefit from the biblical richness and clarity of this show.

    Super helpful!
Their summaries are deep, easy to listen to, and incredibly helpful for understanding the flow of the book. My husband and I were reading through the Bible this year, and listened to the podcasts as we went along. It was enjoyable, helpful and created some fun discussion.

Growing my love for the OT
This July, I'm endeavoring to listen to as many of these episodes as I can. These conversations explore the meaning, connections, and beauty of the Old Testament writings. One of the voices, Jim Hamilton, was a prof of mine at SBTS. I'm loving it because it makes me want to know my OT better than I do. I'm seeing so many new connections within the OT and pointers to the savior!
  • Joy in Glory

Helpful to the Saint and Honoring to the LORD
I’m very thankful for this podcast. The discussion within have fanned the flames, and often served to help rekindle a love of the Word. Their knowledge and skill in rightly dividing the word of truth does nothing but encourage the listener to study God’s word more diligently and experience the joy of knowing our good and gracias Father through the revelation of the Word. I often recommend this podcast to the members of my church. It is worth your time!

    I love BT!!!
As a stay-at-home mom of littles, I am so thankful for this podcast!! This is a season of life where I do not have the time/energy to study the scriptures deeply on my own. I love that I can listen to this on a walk with my kiddos or while I’m doing the dishes and BE ENCOURAGED by God, who is the ultimate “literary genius.”
  • WillDole
Pondered by all who delight in them
Love the podcast, incredibly helpful meditations and insights on the Bible, and contra an earlier reviewer, I’m thankful for banter. It provides enough mental breathing space to grasp the deeper insights.
  • RyanL24
Great exposition of Scripture if you can make it through the machismo
A wonderful exposition of the Scripture but uses too many analogies that are often centered on male interests, forgetting their Christian sisters. It’s a constant switch between godly teaching and sounding like three teenage boys finding themselves hilarious. Hopefully future podcasts will focus on just Scripture not making flabby and cheap punchlines. Please stop the cultural references and just focus on the Bible! People are listening for that not for your “humor” or entertainment.
