You saved my life. I found this podcast today and decided to listen to the Susan Powell case because I was living about 10 minutes from her house when she was killed. I was devastated by this story and have listened to, read and watched EVERYTHING I can find about it. I was listening to it on my way to therapy (45 min. drive) and while I waited for my appointment. I spent the session reliving one of the times I was raped by my father as a 12 year old and I didn’t handle it well. Upon leaving the session, I was a mess. I felt shaky, nauseous, and terrified. I sat in my car thinking about how much I was hurting, how my life has been so painful, empty, and hopeless, and wondering if I would be better off ****. I’ve suffered with severe mental health issues all my life due to the many years of sexual abuse as a child and sexual assaults as a teen and adult. I felt like I couldn’t take it anymore. Then, I started hearing Lauren talk about Josh Powell and her rage cracked the walls of the helpless terror that had surrounded me. I felt like I wasn’t alone in the world in that moment. God, you women are so amazing and you never know what kind of an impact your words can have. Letting that anger flow gave me peace enough to keep going. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Not sure why it took me so long to find this great podcast but so glad I did - so many laughs along with gasps of horror. These two have fun chemistry and give great in depth histories of crime - plus crazy hockey team mania, slushee straws and 90s obsessions. I love this podcast!

Love the podcast. It’s great. Truly is! But I recently just finished their last episode “till murder do us part” and Lauren Ash made a theory at the end that the mother with AB blood and the father with A blood could not have a child with B blood. But that isn’t true!!! I know it’s unrealistic for me to expect her to know about blood types since it’s been years since she had to learn it, but as someone who’s taken a class that has talked about genetics for 4 years in a row, let me give a science lesson. Blood types are slightly more complicated than normal Mendelian genetics. There are 3 alleles in blood type genetics. A, B, and i. AB blood has the A and B allele. Type O blood has 2 i alleles. But type A blood could have AA or Ai alleles. Type B blood could have BB or Bi alleles. Lauren assumed that the father had AA blood, in which case he would not be able to have a child with type B blood. But if he had Ai alleles then the mother could give a B allele and the father could give an i allele, leading to a child with Bi alleles aka type B blood. I know I shouldn’t be this bothered by it but I am. Still 5 stars though!!!

Hilarious, passionate research!! I feel like I am in the room laughing with both of them. Love the long episodes. These ladies make me laugh, teach me, and keep me company!!! 10/10 recommend. Christy's research is amazing and then Lauren comes in with takes that you could never even think of!! They kill it everytime

This podcast has always been woke but now it’s super woke. They did a hit piece on Elon and then in this last episode tried to imply that Trump killed his ex wife. Why are you alienating 50 percent of your listeners?

As I’m sure a lot of listeners are, I’m a huge fan of Lauren and all of her work. And now, of course, I’m also a huge fan of Christy 💛 This is one of my top go-to podcasts whenever I need a pick me up (which comes mainly from the half hour or so of banter in the beginning lol). I love these women and their relationship and hope this podcast goes on for years to come!

This podcast feels like getting a hug from a friend or your mom. I mean. Besides the murder stuff and true crime of course. But anyway. I love both you ladies and you make me laugh and feel a sense of safety in a really scary world.

Every week feels like I get to attend a cocktail party in my jammies with my two favorite cousins, where we play cards, quote OVERBOARD, and talk true crime.

Idk what people are talking about when they say it’s political… they are just talking about human rights. That isn’t political unless you hate human rights? I truly love this podcast and these fun “aunts” are my comfort podcast.

These two delightful humans never fail to make me laugh hysterically. Came for the true crime, stayed for the banter!

I used to enjoy this podcast and look forward to Tuesday’s new release. The content used to be awesome. Christy and Lauren work very hard on content and tell great stories. But when excellent podcasters begin bringing their political views in to their commentary, I can’t hang around anymore.

Love this podcast. Been listening since the beginning. I enjoy the catchup before the story, makes the podcasters seem more real and down to earth. The stories they share are entertaining which is a nice calm before the storm of a story that you know is coming. Christy always does unparalleled research. I really wanted to like this podcast. I like the two hosts, but they spent the first 40 minutes talking about TV shows and food. I found it really frustrating that I had to skip ahead.

Found this podcast in 2021 and it’s truly the best research I’ve seen on any true crime podcast! So good and I’m always interested to hear the theories on the unsolved cases. Please cover the Gypsy Rose Blanchard case because my goodness I feel you ladies would have so much to say and I would love to hear your thoughts on all of it! Love that you can see how close they are and how fun their dynamic is! Love that they take the time to really learn about the cases presented and take notes while listening to each other’s researched content! I’m late discovering this gem of a podcast, but I’m so glad I found these ladies. It feels like we could be friends. This has quickly become my go to podcast

Christy and her bestie Lauren Ash of Superstore and Not Dead Yet kill it with off the rails banter. It’s perfect for true crime fans who also love a great 20-30 minute banter intro :) I’ve literally laughed out loud at Christie’s hot crushes on the non-human McDonalds character Grimace and her many adventures to 7-eleven for the perfect Slurpee.

Love the podcast. The banter between the 2 is unmatched! It’s amazing listening to them just being themselves! But most importantly they pick good cases and give the people a lot of information! Sincerely a big fan!

These ladies are great! The research is unmatched and I truly appreciate the work put in. It helps that both of their personalities are wonderful and they feel like friends. Love these two, and for the haters who want them to get straight to the true crime, I often only listen to the banter in the beginning because true crime scares me and you don’t deserve their brilliance. I tried. I really tried. Too much talk about nothing. Seriously over 15 minutes of trying to guess who she saw at the award show. 30 seconds would’ve been suffice. It took them over 45 minutes to get into the story. At that point, I had enough.

Lauren and Christy are my absolute “non-guilty pleasure”. I tell everyone about this podcast and how it is my favorite. Their voices are a perfect-temp chamomile tea and their reporting is TOP NOTCH. They go above and beyond in their research and cover their cases with dignity and grace. “Fan” seems too distant; I admire their relationship and their sense-of-selves. I laugh, I cry, I listen with every inch of my being. Never change because you two are appreciated and loved.

I enjoy crime podcasts but this one takes the subject to an all new level. Who knew horrible crimes could be so entertaining? These podcasts are not only entertaining but thoroughly researched, so it’s not just fluff. The humor helps the listener to digest some truly horrifying stories. This is by far and away my all-time favorite podcast! I have been listening to the genre for years and there have been a few repeat cases and every. single. time. they bring information I’ve never heard. I appreciate the levity they bring to the genre.
