"A must-listen indie podcast." - The Guardian"A beautiful, kind, wonderful story." - BBC RadioWhen Gloria took a waitressing job at a diner outside of Phoenix, she didn't realize she was now an employee of Midnight Burger, a time-traveling, dimension-spanning diner. Every day Midnight Burger appears somewhere new in the cosmos along with it's staff: a galactic drifter, a rogue theoretical physicist, a sentient old-timey radio, and some guy named Caspar. No one knows who built Midnight Burger or how it works, but when it appears there's always someone around who could really use a cup of coffee. At the nexus of all things, there is a diner. Best Audio Drama since Wolf 359
I’d first fallen in love with this form of audio drama/sci-fi many years ago, and it’s rare to find this excellent a cast, narrative, and production. Thank you all!

Best, funniest, truthful, and most human Sci-fi show out there
I seriously am so saddened right now because I just listened to the last episode of season 4! Now I have to start it again and wait until next season! Actors are amazing! I love them all! Your distinct voices help me to imagine the characters in color. Writing is funny, uplifting and terrifying at the same time. The humanity in each episode gives us hope that we will all be okay. Thank you all so much for entertaining us and helping us through tough days when we know we can take a break and travel amongst the stars for a while. Cannot recommend this more highly!

    My favorite podcast!
I love this show so much! My best friend recommended it because they couldn’t stop listening and I’m so glad they did. This is my absolute favorite podcast and highly recommended to everyone!

I’ve heard the whole thing twice!
I think at the beginning it took me some time to understand the humor and what was going on. But by the middle of season 1 I couldn’t stop listening. I’ve literally heard seasons 1-4 twice.

    Lost steam
Series started very interesting but seems to have lost quite a bit of what made it unique and intriguing in the first few seasons. It’s a lot less creative and a lot more lecture(ish)? lately. It started out really well though! Best of luck in your future projects! :)

    Good stuff for free
Great show, production, actors, all of it. Thanks for putting it out for free for those who can’t afford to subscribe.

    Totally Addicted!
Stumbled across this when I was looking for a change of pace from true crime/spooky story shows. I absolutely LOVE the storyline, well developed characters and top shelf voice acting. I have blown through 3 ish seasons in about a month, I don’t want to be caught up!!!

    Best comedy podcast ever
Sweet baby Jesus this is the funniest story with amazing characters. Love love love. Big Day has me feeling emotions that I can’t explain. Tears fell but they were not sad tears nor joyful tears. What?

    Love the show but
I love the show and can’t get enough of it. I look forward to each and every new episode sadly the one thing that I hate most and can’t stand is the 20 plus minutes of thanking each and every supporter at the end of each episode and it’s always the same ones.

    Addictive. Hilarious. Kind.
Without hesitation, one of my top three favorite podcasts. It’s a wonderful and quirky journey across the universe(s?) with a transcendent messsge, all you need is love, and occasionally, arms that shoot missles. Okay, since you asked, the other three favorites are The Amelia Project, Desert Skies, and The Liminal Lands, and also Station 151. (Proofrock doesn’t math. Get over it.)

    Amazing
I don’t like sci fi much. I’ve never been into it. Until I found this podcast. I’ve listened to it twice all the way through and it’s helped me branch out and listen to more. This is the best audio drama podcast out there. Period.
  • this show is pathetic
    Top Tier Audio Drama
The replayability of this show is astounding. Mind-blowingly well made and well written.

    What a treat!
An incredibly thought provoking, fun, and ensnaring experience! I was hooked from the first episode and it’s been my go-to, feel good, stretch my brain or perspective show. I look forward to sitting in traffic and commuting solely because it means I can get lost in the story!

    Delightful
This weird heartfelt podcast is the perfect balm to my soul. Highly recommend.

    Perfection
I rate but never review podcasts. But I truly love Midnight Burger so much that I had to leave a review. The comedic use of theoretical physics is perfect for someone like me who loves hard sci-fi and shows like Futurama!
  • Suzy345
    Great story
The writing and acting are superb, pacing is perfect. The use of sound effects is excellent - authentic sounds and a great use of them to move the story along without having to over narrate. There is not a single thing I would improve.

    Sci Fi Fun!
I’m loving midnight burger. It’s fun and philosophical with enough physics to elevate it. A sci fi gem that makes my commute more enjoyable.

    Is a hotdog a sandwich?
Feel good comedy gold. Always puts me in a wonderful headspace I wish I could just live in . Has helped my anxiety and improved my mood hundreds of times over and not because it’s unlocked some unknown philosophical truths I’d never thought of but by just making me happy I highly recommend and gladly throw my 5$ at them every month to keep the good times going and hey it’s cheaper than a therapist lol.

    Irreverently Delicious
Dr Who meets Bob’s Burgers. An absolute delight. Cozy spacetime travel at its best. I like the pace at 1.25x speed.

    Entertaining and thought provoking
For a fictional podcast, this Sci-Fi series has amazing, thought provoking content. I have enjoyed every single episode. I highly recommend listening!

    I’m Hooked
I’ve liked the show since episode 1 even though I was a little leery of whether or not I’d warm up to the radio hosts (I did). The show gets better and better. Season 2, Episode 2 was hilariously well written and acted. I haven’t laughed that much during a podcast.. ever. Thanks for the entertainment!

    THIS IS A MUST LISTEN!!
I have listened to this in its entirety a few times over waiting for new episodes and I NEVER get tired of listening to the gang at Midnight Burger! Keep up the good work Joe and Finlay❤️❤️❤️❤️

    Bourbon and Trailblazers
I’ve loved this show since the first episode, but as an Oregonian who’s lived next to Mt, Hood their whole life I am smitten with the mini-series! Couldn’t not cackle at the “my favorite pastime: drinking bourbon and complaining about the Trailblazers.” I’m devastated it’s going to end soon! Thank you so much!

    Listening for the third time
I love this. This is the best way to connect with creators. Truly immersive, imaginative… immaculate even, storytelling. I’ve been trying to hack time for a very long time myself so I love the little metaphysics lessons intertwined (which is the very best way to teach and learn!!). My only complaint is that I want a new episode every day!

    Simply the best
Just the best piece of fiction ever created, IMO. Please keep 'em coming folks! It's literally the only thing holding me together some days down here on Earth.

One of the Best Audiodramas Ever
Listen folks, I consume a lot of audiodrama content. This is, by far, one of the best out there. Heartfelt, hilarious, great world building, fantastic character development, and truly touching. Honestly one of my favorite things I’ve ever listened to.
  • makeda42
    Slow start, fantastic show
This was recommended to me somewhere. I included as a short podcast between longer news oriented podcasts. Then its maniac energy and stories grew on me. It got longer and the stories took philosophical turns at times. Some aspects remind me of “The Good Life”. I just listened to a season end story that was over an hour long and it was engaging the entire time.

    Amazing
I’ve listened to this at work over the past week. It’s a great story that gets you sucked into it. The writing is good, and good voice acting. The background effects are superb. In every episode there’s a storyline that related to the entirety, but in its own stands well. I do however think the buffed the muckleberry’s as they seem to have less control in the recent episodes than when first introduced. Keep up the good work! I loved the 3 part bonus, space series that seems to be a previously done audio drama, under the same name with different actors but I loved it.
  • Deputysmith
    Not bad
It’s not a bad show. Kinda crazy storyline to follow. However I’m here to listen to a podcast not political views of people during this free preview. You got me for a couple seasons but I won’t finish it now.
  • Tfvogt
    Was great then it wasn’t
Great opening story line and then it went ideological . I guess everyone has a perspective but I would have preferred they stuck to the original story thread. It just became too preachy.

    Everything and more
This podcast is exactly what I’ve been searching for since my first podcast that got me obsessed with podcasts. Complex story lines, amazing and complicated characters. Written in a way that feels like you’re listening to real people with real problems but really they’re in a inter dimensional diner lol it’s just awesome you won’t regret listening and if you do you’re the problem lol
  • motzalotz
One of the best out there
I have listened to a truly excessive amount of scripted podcasts and this is hands down one of the best. It is funny, cozy, poignant, exciting, thoughtful… somehow it balances all of these feelings with extreme finesse. It takes the best of the sci fi genre and brings it to the next level! Excellent plot, quality voice acting, wonderful character development. I could go on and on, just give it a listen!

    Best Podcast Ever
One of the first podcast I had to binge when I found it. Now I compare all others to. Great story, great characters that you come to love, fantastic actors & sound design. Just on another level.

    The best
This podcast means more to me than a podcast’s supposed to. Love it, love the characters, love the stories, love the voice actors!

    Comfy Booth, Good Times
The wonderful cast and the amazing community that have sprung up around this amazing podcast keep me enthralled - not entertained, mind you, ENTHRALLED - with every episode. Shift Notes becomes a lovely additive if you choose to support this worthy endeavor, and the side stories with Young Leif and the Horizon Hotel are the side stories that show the immense depth of this podcast. Joe (the writer) found the most amazing people to bring this to life. Here’s a fun drinking game for the first couple seasons: finish your beer if Ian is doing another voice!

Best Podcast I’ve ever listened to
There are only a handful of podcasts I find worthy of listening to and this show tops them all! Incredible concept with a truly outstanding cast. When I listen to this podcast I am completely immersed in the story and feel like I’m there in the diner traveling through space and time with the crew. I would give 10 ⭐️ if I could.

    What a show!
I LOVE every episode! When they end, I get sad but excited because I know a new one is coming! The characters and the storyline is so intriguing and entertaining! I recommend this to everyone!
  • Ynottt
Everything about this is great, kinda
I finally caught up after finding the show quite a while after it had started. One thing that strikes me is just how much the creators seem to care about their audience. No crazy subscriptions, countless ads, and they never seem to call in an episode. Each one is really high quality. On top of that the spin offs like Young Lief are there while we wait for the next episode. I wish more podcasts were made this well. Edit: this current season is a little rough. A lot of dead air, noises without dialogue, and the plot is completely different than what it used to be. The story just got silly without any real meaning or events to move it forward. Flooding, race cars, and zebras just as a filler episode…why? Hopefully it gets better to what it was.
  • aklap1
    Used to be great
The show has lost its greatness. It used to be absolutely ridiculously hilarious and the show has kinda just slowly become less funny and is no longer as easy to follow
  • faulguy
    Great entertainment!
Such a fun and creative storyline, the characters have depth, humor, compassion just a pleasure.

    Favorite Audio drama out there
This show is so many things to me: a place to be safe, a place to escape when things get hard, a story that shows us both the best and worst parts of humanity in equal parts…. It is a beautiful piece of art made by passionate artists, writers, actors and voice talents who really dedicate their energy and passion to the material to make it come alive for the audience. I have been devouring everything I can from these creators, from their miniseries in the show to their deep-dive subscribers only podcasts “Shift Notes.” And personally, that has made my experience with the show that much richer! Bravo, Midnight Burger ❤️ I’m out here, somewhere - Looking for ya. And I will always be there when the doors open, at 6 ❤️

    Fantastic.
The writing and story telling is fantastic!!! It hit me like a ton of bricks. Every season the cast gels more, the writing and story telling gets better. I love all the science, engineering, theoretical physics……. Season 3 was exceptionally good. I listen to this podcast to make my life better during boring life draining monotonous tasks like making dinner, dishes, yard work blah blah you know the tasks. The story arc is amazing you get to season 3 and it’s sooo good, I cannot express how much I enjoyed season 3. Keep it coming guys. Leif is my favorite, keep blowing Sh…. UP.
