    Solid dude
Jay is a solid, well meaning guy who stands by his product and also is not afraid to have his mind changed with new information. Great podcast, great reviews, awesome platform on the subscriber side.

    Good stuff.
Honestly the only gear reviewer I actually trust, he’s as non biased as possible. Dude gets after it with hunting too, is talented as a story teller, and asks good thought provoking questions when he has guest. 10/10 would recommend.

    Aptly Titled
Jay’s podcast captures all the details of everything that goes into enjoying hunting—from the gear, to the tactics, to the mindset. Hunters of all skill levels will appreciate his “mindful” approach to the pursuit.

    Trending down
Has turned into an infomercial. Not what hunting is all about.

    Mindful Hunter Podcast Review
I’ve had the pleasure to share hunting camp together with Jay. Always admired how much thought and detail go into his hunts and planing. Jay definitely takes it to the next level. It’s great to listen to and learn from.

Jay does a really great job breaking down hunts, gear & mindset. I listen to a bunch of hunting focused podcasts but look forward to The Mindful Hunter most.

    A real experience podcast!
I have really enjoyed listening and getting a real life experience on the different topics mentioned. You can tell how much dedication and love for the industry there is! Look forward to the future episodes. I have loved using the products from wilderness athlete and a giveaway from them would be great!

    Great Information
I really enjoy podcasts that talk about hunting gear, tactics, experiences etc. but most of them are essentially 1 hour advertisements for brands. This show is very honest and void of corny marketing. Very refreshing to see this option within the hunting industry. Highly recommend.

    Binge Listening
Came across this podcast recently and thoroughly enjoy it. A lot of good details and explanations with various guests. He is also personally very responsive. Great listen overall

    Love this podcast
He’s brutally honest, hard headed and likes to do hard things because they are hard. So much respect! Keep up the great work!

    Iron Sharpens Iron
I cannot say enough good things about this podcast. Jay is a real, honest, and authentic dude who just wants to share with the world his knowledge and experiences. The problem with society today is that there’s too few people willing to do that for their fellow man. Like Jay I’m a high performing entrepreneur and although I do not know Jay personally, I feel connected to him in a professional way due to the similarities that from my prospective appear to exist between us. He’s driven, intelligent, has a great work ethic, analytical, isn’t fooled by hype or fancy marketing, and an explorer of data. I make a conscious effort to only surround myself with other high achievers because Iron Sharpens Iron. Jay certainly fits that bill. Thank you J for all that you do! Awesome
Awesome content. Jay dose the work when it comes to gear and knowledge about hunts. Personally I skip a lot of the personal updates on his workout progress cause I just don’t care. But if he gives you a review on gear, type of hunt, equipment etc. Its awesome info and real. Can’t wait on the next podcast every week.

    Appreciative
I grew up wanting to get into hunting but didn’t have a mentor to provide guidance through the process. So, I did what proactive people do and researched my curiosity. YouTube channel searching led me to Jay’s work. I appreciate his effort to providing gear details regarding his hunt(s). His pursuit to having the viewer/listener connect to his play by play of a kill. And how his podcasts reflect the same quality. Thank you Jay. I appreciate your work as it has guided a novice hunter to the discipline of hunting as I hunt for my first kill. Can’t wait to share it with you. - Quentin Hick @qhick10 @talkswithq

A New Take on the Hunting Podcast
I’ve known Jay for a few years, and benefitted from his insights long before he had this podcast. Jay approaches and comments on hunting from the perspective of a hunter-athlete with a family and a full time job—not a celebrity who “hunts” for a living. On this podcast, you’ll get no-nonsense assessments of gear, training and hunting scenarios, and advice on how to balance adventure with real life. I highly suggest you tuning in.

    No Bullsh** approach & reviews
I enjoy Jay’s no bull approach and reviews. He’s not held to any certain brand, he likes what works best for him in his experiences it seems. Will definitely listen in again.

    Hard to listen to
This guy does some interesting things, but he’s so self absorbed that he’s honestly hard to listen to. Not keeping this one in my podcast rotation.
