10/10 absolutely amazing, total perfection, one might even say mediocre!
Loving this podcast so much! I really like how all of the characters work together and even if they fight, the players know the reasoning behind it. I love their party dynamic and how Tic was worked in with Fenrir, instead of just randomly showing up with total confusion. Can’t wait to see the new character! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ oh and obviously the family friendly part is a huge plus!

    A Boudiful show
This show is one of my favorite shows. It’s tied for first with another dnd podcast I listen to. I like it so much that I binge listen to the show and got all caught up in 2-3 weeks. It’s a really good family friendly dnd podcast that is also really entertaining. Ps-Boudreaux is one of my favorite characters so pun was definitely intended in the title-.

    Best of the best!
You all are ✨AMAZING✨ at the voices, the character development, and the over all planning of it all! This has inspired me to write my own Dungeons and Dragons story and has cheered me up on the worst of days. Thanks for making such a wonderful impact on so many young listener’s lives.

    THE LIGHT OF MY DAY!!!
This podcast is the BEST podcast I’ve listened to… EVER. Every time I’ve had a tough day (or really any day) I can always look forward to laughing and forgetting about the day while I listen to this! All the characters are so detailed and amazing their backstory’s intertwined with the campaign! That’s a hard thing to achieve! And speaking of the campaign it’s almost like a literal book all of the twists and turns and cliffhangers leave me dying to know what’s next. I’m always making references to the things that the characters do and telling almost everyone I know to listen to it!

    Our family’s favorite podcast
5 stars from the Flowers Family! The whole fam- parents, 9yo, 5yo, and 1yo love to listen to this adventure, and we are so grateful it is appropriate for their little ears. Our 9yo and 5yo have learned so much about how to create their own characters and play DnD with our family and friends. We hope there are many more episodes to come!

The D&D Musical You Didn’t Know You Needed
Tomes of the Chaos Bard is a fantastic actual play D&D podcast. From riveting original music to a fun cast, it has everything you need for cozy adventure, with high stakes and drama mixed in. There’s always a sense of bigger world events happening around the main story with in-depth lore and more plot-hooks cast then the party has time to grasp. Yet even while the world seems to be spinning to the whims of a mischievous chaos bard, there’s always a sense that all the stories will weave together in the end. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what DM Dave and the crew of Tomes of the Chaos Bard have in store for us as the story continues. Thank you for the hours of entertainment!

This is one of the best dnd podcasts that I have ever heard. It is up there with titans of all’terra andI cast fireball.

    This podcast is really good
I really like Boudreaux’s funny accent. The action is amazing! I really love how the story is told, and the names of the villages are AMAZING! I think that this is the best dnd podcast that I have ever listened to. In fact, I think it is the best podcast I’ve listened to in general! The acting is really good, and I like all of the suspense! I like that Saulum guy too.

    An amazing podcast
Everything about this podcast is incredible from the magical world to how the character’s interact within it. It has a little bit for everyone who loves the wonderful world of DnD (even if you don’t play it).

    Great Listen With the Kids
I’ve had a wonderful time enjoying this actual play with my young-ish kids. I really appreciate the clean language as this can be challenging to find in this type of podcast genre. The story is enjoyable and the world is as colorful and vivid as the cast of characters inhabiting it!

    Excellent family friendly D&D podcast!
It’s not too late to start this wonderful podcast. I started listening a few months ago and love every minute of it. The cast and DM focus in on the role play aspect which makes for a heartwarming, tearful, exciting, emotional roller coaster storyline. It is well worth it to hang on through the first few episodes and the audio issues. But I do wonder if Saulum could help them out with his magic on those episodes. Or is there some force out there trying to stop Saulum and crew from fulfilling the quest of a making a family friendly D&D podcast? Thanks for the great content! -Robert

A fantastic story with fantastic people
Adventure, fantasy, and more all provided by a fantastic group of people! The voices/ acting are incredible, and the story is even better! I highly highly recommend 10/10

It could save you a lot of torches if you read my review.
I really like the podcast, but you’re forgetting about a key item. If I remember correctly, the adventuring rings they got from Swindle’s first tier gives them dark vision. I hope this helps the party.

    I love it 🤩

    Great group and fun!
I really enjoy this group. I’m 4 episodes in and am enjoying the story and the characters. There’s a good mix of humor while staying in character and not detailing the story. Excited to listen to more. There are a lot of episodes to catch up on!

    Family friendly, THANK YOU!!!
A lot of “family friendly” podcasts you find still swear in some way or another. I am SOOOO grateful this is not one of them. Always clean. Very funny. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

    Great Podcast!
Hi! Sent an email a while back in June and I couldn’t help but give a review. Good DM that has an immersive world to play in, great players and characters that RP well together, and just a family friendly show. They are active and mingle with fans, and are an overall great podcast. I would give more stars if I could.

    Great podcast
They have done a great job making a family friendly dnd podcast. My favorite character is definitely Fenrir, or Rosco. Thx again, for doing this podcast. Unlike a lot of clean rated podcast on apple podcast, they are actually clean, and don’t cuss at all, they stay in a positive mindset the whole time, and they are worthhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh listening to. Thanks again, as you unroll the scroll to tell the tale.

    Podcast for literally anyone
Thanks you guys so much for creating a clean family friendly dnd podcast. I love dnd and love listening to dnd podcasts but unforntunatley there are just so many with sexual and explicit content i was thinking about not listening to any dnd podcast and even took a break from them for a while. Then I found a few including tomes of the chaos bard that i really enjoyed and felt happy listening too. Keep con creating awesome content!

    Volume and depth
By “family friendly,” they don’t mean that people aren’t horribly dismembered or eaten by giant bugs; there just aren’t any F-Bombs as they do. This is a unique and charming home brew world. I especially like that the characters act like people. They aren’t trying to act (3/4 of them anyhow) and they do have emotional depth as they face a complex story plot. One warning…. If you’re listening on headphones, skip the intro. They tend to blow out the volume in the beginning.

    Fun at the Table
I'm new to this group's work, but it's been a fun ride so far. The players interact well together, the characters are engaging and entertaining to get to know, and the DM has a knack for setting situations and letting the story develop around them. The emphasis on quality sound and clean content is refreshing, and I'll be following with keen attention. Way to go, everyone!

    Wonderful Podcast! Absolutely recommend
This is a wonderful family-friendly DnD podcast! It’s clear the players have good grasps of their characters and DnD so the story flows smoothly and beautifully. Can’t wait to binge the rest of the episodes and catch up!

    D&D for the family
It's so hard to find good family-friendly D&D podcasts! I listen to this with my daughter, Sophie. She really enjoys Boudreaux's voice and she loves the theme song. Keep up the good work.

This is a great narrative for a roll playing game! I love the world and enjoy hearing the variety of characters involved in the game. I am very excited to hear more from this group!
