nsivulaExcellent and laser-focused on an important topicAs a parent of teens this has been a great podcast for detailed and clear discussion on the topic of what and how to approach life after high school, their steps and model are refined and easy to grasp and to apply to any situation we are imagining, thanks for committing to this topic!

Sydney SkilesThought provokingI really enjoy listening to Ryan and Hannah’s point of view. They use real data and logic to debunk the idea that college is the only pathway to success. As someone who went through the institution and has 2 degrees, so many of the points they address are my reality. I have thought for a long time that college is soon going to stop being the norm, considering the debt vs salary ratio simply doesn’t add up. They make it all make sense. I am thankful they are doing this work to educate people on vocational creativity and hopeful that the next generation of young people will see they have options and don’t have to go into debt.

HeartandsoulfamilyfarmSo refreshing!Thank u for speaking out about all the possibilities for young adults besides just a college degree! I’m so thankful I have this to share with my kids.

S MaynorEssential content for parents of teens!THANK YOU. Someone needed to say this. I first heard Hannah on the 1000 Hours Outside podcast and have ben following ever since. I was born in ‘81 and college was considered mandatory. By the time I graduated, however, I knew I would probably never work in my field of study. Thankfully I did not take on debt to secure that fancy paper, but it is HARD to stand against the tide of prevailing attitudes toward them! I have 8 kids and my oldest is 19. Your content could not have come at a better time. Thanks for empowering us to say yes to ongoing education and being *truly* free!

BWood83Thinking outside the boxI love that this podcast is rethinking the idea that college is the only route to success. As a millennial, I was told go to college and you will be successful. Now as someone in my 40s, I know that is completely false and there are so many different ways to have a successful career and this podcast is discussing all the alternatives.

Goofball #1Heard you on 1KHO…My husband retired from the military in 2021. We are in the small business/entrepreneur realm now, with several kids in the about-to-launch range. I’m excited to broaden their possibilities - and find myself wishing you had something similar for us mid-lifers too! Thank you for changing the conversation about the necessity and the true cost of pursuing college degrees. My younger sister is over her head in college-related debt and will never be free of it - and like so many, she’s not even working in her field of study. I wish someone had been saying these things 25 years ago!

sarah3187Life changing! This podcast has been so helpful in changing our mindset and seeing so many possibilities we never even knew existed! Thank you for all your hard work making this show!

WhoPlayDatLegitThey aren’t trying to sell you anything. At least not from any of the episodes I’ve listened to so far. I get so tired of listening to podcasts with one goal, to sell you something. But honestly if they were selling something, I’d probably buy it because they are so authentic. They talk candidly about their experiences in different businesses they’ve tried, what has worked, what hasn’t, and give a lot of valuable advice. It’s priceless. Highly recommend. The only change I would make, is that at times Ryan seems to behave as though he’s superior to Hannah, he kind of overrides her sentences or subtly dismisses her input at times.

ozbirnMy only podcastI Found Ryan and Hannah on tik tok and became curious so I started searching for them on social media and found the podcast. As of 1/25/2024 this is the only show I’m listening to. My reason, at 38 years old I am looking for a career change and have been looking at going back to school but the more I looked at going back to school the more discouraged I became. I listened to a lot of podcast about different things but personally did not find much helpful information on my personal needs/ wants, and When I found you guys on here it gave me a new breath on how to look for career change. I could go on forever but highly recommend this podcast. Thank you guys so much.

VicbphotoI have a bachelors in my field, this is still helpful.I’m a 33 year old millenial mom. I work in my field. I did go into a high end studio in photography out of university, HOWEVER, 12 years into my career, and I have to say, this podcast helps a lot. It gives me options so, should anything happen, I can pivot and change, as I am looking to do this year. This podcast is helpful in interviews, job searching, being seen, weighing your options, changing fields if for some reason you need to move location and leave your job, and it’s saving some people from crippling debt. This show is SO RELEVANT! AAAAAALSO, these guys listen to their audience. I’ve sent my younger Gen Z sister a handful of episodes from this show. She kept thinking she needs a degree, and now a days, I can’t advocate for it for a lot of things. There’s a lot in this show that can help her have the confidence she should have from the work she HAS ALREADY BEEN DOING for the past 8 years. Gah! Additionally, I’m setting up my daughter’s brokerage accounts for when she is older with maybe buying a house in mind over going to university, should she choose not to go. I’m working with my financial advisor on it soon. All that aside. These guys help with getting careers started and empower especially young and mid-career people in having the confidence to advocate for their futures! This helps my family, and informs a portion of things I do for myself. I have no regrets for myself, but I wish there were resources like this when I was younger. Thank you guys for the great work. Aloha, a millenial.

buddytheelfssugarbabytoo much emphasis on tech career pathsI feel like every other episode is how to break into ____ in the tech world. Or tech certifications. Let’s be real, the market is saturated for a lot of these roles, there have been lots of layoffs, etc. A lot of the advice isn’t even realistic or helpful anymore in our current job market/landscape. It’s a lot harder now to land some of these jobs that the guests/hosts did years ago. It’s really not as easy as just getting a cert and landing a job. There’s also the simple fact that not everyone wants to go into tech. Broaden the career path topics a bit more please.

Sjl0526They Really Care About HelpingI found Hannah and Ryan on TikTok months ago and had one of their viral videos saved and didn’t really do anything. I’m 34, college graduate and recently realized that my career is at a dead end and I need to change. I started going through the episode archives and am trying to learn and internalize their wisdom. I know they’re adjusting their target audience but I’m grateful for all the useful information they give out!

Chanie V.Should be required listening for anyone graduating high school.I have sent this podcast to my 16 year old sister and 60 year old mother, both of which found tremendously helpful! I always learn something new, and as a multi passionate individual, I appreciate getting professional advice that acknowledges the worthlessness of degrees. I’ve been binging and am so inspired!

Gateway drug to better mindsetSolid advise, but needs an editor.TL;DR: Great content that gets buried in tangents and illustrations that go on forever. Solid 1.5x listen rate. I hope as they continue they will hire an editor and maybe disclose their epidode sponsor ahead of giving a glowing review of branded certs is Salesforce, as it seemed like a conflict. Despite all above 5 stars.
