Save My Thyroid

72

If you have hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease, toxic multinodular goiter, etc.) or Hashimoto's thyroiditis and are looking to do everything to save your thyroid gland, then the Save My Thyroid podcast is for you! Dr. Eric Osansky DC, IFMCP is the host, as he personally was diagnosed with Graves' disease in 2008 and was able to get into remission taking a natural approach. He created this podcast to help others with hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's save their thyroid and regain their health. If you have hyperthyroidism then pretty much all of the episodes will benefit you, and if you have Hashimoto's you'll benefit from most of the guest expert episodes, as well as some of the "solo" episodes. The reason there is more of a focus on hyperthyroidism is because all of the other thyroid-related podcasts focus mostly on hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's, and since Dr. Eric personally dealt with Graves' disease he wanted this podcast to focus more on hyperthyroidism, although it will still offer plenty of value to those with hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's. Dr. Eric Osansky lives in Matthews NC with his wife, 2 daughters, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 guinea pigs! He has been a practitioner for 20+ years, and has focused on helping people with thyroid and autoimmune thyroid conditions since 2009.

    You gave me hope!
Thank you, Dr. Eric! When I was diagnosed with Graves in 2018, you were one of the first (and by far, the best) resources I found, and you gave me hope! I immediately altered my diet and within a year, I was off meds and in remission. I remain in remission today and continue to be vigilant about my lifestyle and diet. In a word with so few valuable resources regarding hyperthyroidism and Graves, you’re testimony and information is priceless!

    Living Encyclopedia
I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. I had zero knowledge about this condition. After following Dr. Eric Osansky for a short time, I learned so much. Dr. Osansky is a living encyclopedia on Hyperthyroidism and Hypothyroidism. He is very generous in sharing his knowledge and educating patients about this disease. He is very passionate in helping patients and saving their thyroid. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Osansky! I also love his bootcamps and live Zoom calls. - Seema Singh

    This podcast gave me hope!
I binge listened to Dr. Eric’s podcasts after being diagnosed by my primary care physician with Graves’ disease in 2022. His first solution was radiation to destroy my thyroid and his second solution was medication. I knew I didn’t want rather of these choices but I didn’t know where to go to find the information I needed. After a brief search I came across Dr. Eric’s podcasts. The information was incredibly valuable to me and I was able to make an informed decision about natural treatment options even after being told over and over again by my PCP that there was no natural treatment for Graves. I am beyond grateful that my T4,T3, and TSH levels are now all in normal range! I am so thankful for this free information that gave me hope and the determination to get my Graves into remission! Thank you! Thank you!

    Guest speakers, subject matter, content
Hi everyone 😉 I found this podcast thru Dr O Facebook group. He has had multiple challenges to help us find our way with this subject matter. I have listened to several of the episodes. If I have a question about the episode I’ve reached out via the FB group and he has gotten back with myself. He wants to learn and wants to share what he learns. Take care ❤️

    Great information from Cecilia Harris
Dr Osansky's podcast is a ray of light and hope for all those who are suffering from hyperthyroidism and want alternatives that help solve the root of the problem and not just treat the symptoms.

    A wealth of knowledge!
I’ve been suffering with Graves’ disease for 5 years to the point where I’m now housebound. The endocrinologists I’ve seen seem to be completely oblivious to the fact that autoimmune issues are caused by something and not just chance. Most don’t know of other ways to heal this condition except through radiation or thyroid removal. Since it’s not a common condition, Graves’ disease isn’t often talked about and this information is hard to come by. I’m so grateful to Dr. Eric for being a voice for those of us suffering from this condition. I’m excited to learn more from him and take control of what many doctors have failed to cure. Please never stop making these podcasts Dr. Eric!!!!

    Very informative!
Dr. Eric is very informative! I turned to his knowledge when I was first dealing with thyroid issues and he was a light at the end of a dark tunnel that gave me hope. I continue to listen to his podcasts because he comes out with newer information all the time that even my own endocrinologist doesn’t have the answers to.

    Very Helpful
Traditional doctors typically don’t discuss natural ways to help treat thyroid conditions. Mine told me diet has zero relation to my Graves’ disease! I was so thankful when I found this podcast because he gives so much useful information about natural, alternative ways to get your thyroid under control. I’ve learned so much after just 1 month!

    So helpful!
Dr. Eric Osanskys podcasts provide a wealth of information for the hyperthyroidism Novice. I was diagnosed this past summer and knew absolutely nothing about Graves' disease. I've been following him for a couple of months now and he has been so generous with providing a ton of information and educating so many of us that don't know much about this disease. If you're new to this disease or just want to learn more please tune in!

    A Beacon of Hope
My endocrinologist offered me 3 choices. Drugs, surgery or radiation. After discovering Dr Eric Osansky I learned that there is hope for complete healing through diet, using herbs and supplements. I appreciate his approach of addressing the underlying cause of my Graves' and not just managing my symptoms. I now have hope that my health can be restored.

    Thank you Dr. Osansky!!!
So glad I didn’t have my thyroid radiated over 20 years ago when I was first diagnosed. But, being on PTU for over 20 years is not ideal either. So happy to be trying a more natural and healthier approach to try to get back to my normal. It’s so nice to hear Dr. Osansky provide a different aspect that is more healthy for the entire body.

    Finally information on hyperthyroidism
It seems like everyone talks about hypothyroidism and Hashimotos, so it's great to have this podcast all about Graves Disease. I have been managing this condition for 3 or 4 years now, and Dr. Osansky is a great source of practical information about ways to adjust diet and lifestyle. He is also living with this condition himself, and in remission, so he really knows what he is talking about. I also love that each session is on the short side, so you don't have to devote half a day to listening. I highly recommend listening to this podcast if you have hyperthyroidism or Graves.

    Hyperthyroidism/Graves disease
In 2017 I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism/ Graves’ disease. I have been taking 2.5mg of methimazole most days. Seems like every time I see the endocrinologist, my dosage is “tweaked “. I subscribed to this podcast to see if there are things I can do on my own to help this go into remission. Dr. Osansky said his went into remission in a year, how long do I have to wait? It’s been 4 1/2 years and my t3/4 numbers are getting better but it’s been such a long process. When I was diagnosed, I had no symptoms other then blood work results. I was put on medication and gained about 25 pounds in 3 months. I am 57 now and had never been overweight until this. I don’t feel like me anymore. I feel fat and tired all the time. I am really wondering what brought this on. Could stress have triggered this? I am looking for to listening to these podcasts to learn more about this condition.

fix the cause- not jiust mute the symptoms
After being diagnosed with Graves my endocrinologist offered three solutions: surgical removal, radioactive iodine or medicine (methimazole.) There was no discussion of what caused it - only help in managing symptoms. I rejected all three options. Doing my own research I found Dr. Eric’s site and read about his approach and decided to seek his help. Fortunately, my endocrinologist continued working with me knowing I was consulting with a natural practitioner and for now rejecting her advice. That way i was able to get both points of view. I found Dr. Eric’s protocols and approach most valuable and followed them to get past Graves and back to good health. These podcasts are a superb reference. Listen to them and, if you can, seek Dr. Eric’s help to get individual consultation, testing and specific recommendations to help you find what caused the Graves disease and then to remove the cause.

    Straight Forward and Knowledgeable
Doctor Osansky understanding of the Thyroid is pronominal, straight forward and easy to understand. His podcasts are so helpful that even my husband who does not have a Thyroid issues listens along with me. Most of us with Thyroid issues feel alone, not so if you follow Dr Osansky! I’m so glad his podcast and blogs are available. I now feel so much more informed when it comes to understanding my thyroid and Graves Disease.

All you’ll ever need to know about hyperthyroid
I am always impressed by Dr. Osansky’s knowledge and willingness to explain everything clearly and concisely. I was diagnosed with graves years ago and am so grateful that I found Dr. Osansky. He has made this often times scary disease more tolerable and provided me with so much knowledge about this disease that I can apply his principles with confidence, and also be able to speak to my drs. and ask the right questions. Dr. Osansky has great presence across several media platforms and guests as a leading expert frequently. His recent appearance with Dr Childs on you tube was very informative. Now that he has this podcast, I can listen and learn any time I need too. Thank you Dr. Osansky

Info from someone who has lived it
I have Graves Disease and still have my thyroid. I was weaned off of methimazole in Sept 2016 and my blood labs continue to be normal. I know I need to be diligent in self-care, and I am happy to hear from someone who has successfully treated his Graves naturally so if something flares up, I have someplace to look for natural solutions.

A rare source of comprehensive info on Graves disease
When I began my Graves/hyperthyroid journey two years ago, Dr Osansky’s blog was one of the most comprehensive, complete and understandable sources i found to educate myself about Graves. Now his podcast is providing much of the same valuable information in a listening format. I have no doubt this is going to help MANY people with Graves to become empowered and knowledgeable all their options. I am a good researcher and advocate, but reliable information on Graves disease is actually difficult to come by (there’s so much more on hypothyroid and Hashimotos) and it was so helpful to find almost every relevant aspect of the condition (triggers, natural and conventional treatments, testing, etc) covered in one place. It helps that Dr Osansky himself had Graves (and is in remission) and as an herbalist I appreciate his knowledge about natural remedies as well as his respect for many different experiences and paths. Although I have gained tremendous knowledge about Graves and rarely encounter new info any more, I still learn some new tidbit from his depth of knowledge every time i hear him speak. I wish everyone healing on their journeys.

    Super helpful
I am new to the discovery process of trying to understand what is going on with my thyroid. Dr. Eric has walked in our shoes and therefore has a different angle. I love that his goal is to get to the underlying root, not just take a bunch of drugs. So glad for this new resource.

    Excellent info on hyperthyroidism!
Finally a place for finding expertise on hyperthyroidism! Loads of useful, relevant information for people who have hyperthyroidism. Dr. Eric Osansky had Graves’ disease himself, so he gets it personally and then professionally through his practice. He has helped many people manage their symptoms naturally, and find and heal core health issues that lead to autoimmune diseases. (And he’s not opposed to traditional meds either.)
