The K-8 Spanish TeacherLike listening to your teacher bestieI am so grateful for this podcast. I have learned so much from Annabelle’s blog, YouTube channel, presentations at conferences, the time I spent in her PLC La Familia Loca, and this podcast. Listening to this podcast is like listening to your teacher bestie. I love Annabelle’s authenticity, genuine excitement and enthusiasm, and all the fun and novel ideas shared. Her unconditional love and faith in her students inspires me and makes me want to be better. I so admire her relentless positivity. There is no one else in this field that does it like Annabelle. I am so glad that Annabelle is driven to work with teachers and share her God-given skills and talents. Thank you, Annabelle, for what you have done for me, countless other teachers and our students.

ChickatyAppreciation. Love you!OMG! I am not sure if to be happy or sad! I and 6 episodes away to catching up to your last recorded episode. I binge listen from the beginning episode since the beginning of the school year whenever I could in the car and in the house. It is a spark of ideas listening to you. I love this. I cannot wait to have time to binge watch all the Familia Loca portal that I have missed. Where have I been that I have been a member for more than two year but not used my benefits effectively? Thank you for all you do for foreign language learning advocacy. ❤️ Dr. Matus.

jkperrA MUST for every language teacher!I have followed Annabelle for years and she truly has transformed my teaching style. She brings incredibly practical tips I can use in my classroom that day. But perhaps my favorite part is her joy, her inspiring words who make me want to be better for my students and her emphasis on authenticity and caring for ourselves as teacher. Every teacher needs to listen to her to be encouraged and to find ways to connect with our students!

htrude07A Must Listen for All WL Teachers!Listening to Annabelle’s podcast is one of my favorite things to do! Each episode is filled with so much joy and authenticity! I always gain new insights and inspiration from Annabelle. She presents relevant topics and strategies for WL educators with tried and true examples from her own classroom. I love how real she is with her listeners. I am a better teacher and person because of the lessons I’ve learned from Annabelle and I know my students are also experiencing more joy in our classroom community as a result of Annabelle. I’m so thankful for her and all that she shares with the language community!

tbonesteakubosJoyful language teacher podcastAnnabelle not only provides amazing tips for language teachers who are interested in acquisition driven instruction, but she also is a therapist and friend building you up with her positive outlook on all things. An amazing podcast for all who need inspiration or a new thing to try to bolster student engagement. Listen for encouragement or to get a new brain break from the queen of them. Fantastic work!

ProfeVLa Maestra Loca is giving me joy for my classesI am grateful for this podcast and La Maestra Loca’s quirky, joyful authenticity. I find many of her ideas to be useful and fun in my classroom; and, she also speaks her truth about teaching. When listening to her thoughts on adult ADHD and imposter syndrome, I hoped others heard and really gained empathy for colleagues like me. I am glad to listen to each episode and find things to chew on as I reflect on my teaching. GRACIAS

Leodee29So gratefulI am so grateful: - for your sharing in episode 59 season 1, I was in tears because I could relate with so much of what you said, self doubt, ADHD diagnosis and love the tips, as always - that you took a break for you in the fall, and that you came back!! - that every single episode is so enjoyable to listen to and always gives me something new to try - you have empowered me to use Acquistion Driven Instruction, which is aligned with the way I intuitively believed we should be teaching languages but I needed more skills and knowledge on how to get there and this podcast is my favorite to get the ideas, strategies and support I need - for the connections you make to resources and other amazing practitioners in the field - for you! I could go on and on, but that might look a little weird if my review went on forever. :)

Joey roqsAnnabelle is your positive inspirational teacher buddyHey teacher, here’s something we all need: a bestie teacher friend who cares about being effective and innovative in the classroom, who understands the struggles that are part of being a teacher, who can relate to the ups and downs that are part of the teacher life. I appreciate the wealth of creative ideas Annabelle shares, the unrelenting positivity- not unrealistic toxic positivity that doesn’t acknowledge struggles or make one feel bad for having a hard time, but the deep to-the-core belief that it can and will be better and let’s pool our ideas and support one another. I love the actual immediately usable ideas that I glean from what Annabelle shares. Try out some of these ideas, you won’t regret it. Take a risk and do a brain break! Have fun, teacher. And leave work on time! You deserve it.

NxnxjnxnzFavorite podcastI started listening to Annabelle last summer and joined her Familia Loca. It changed EVERYTHING this 27-year teacher did in my classroom, and last year was the best of my career! The resources she provides are great, she is always available for advice, but the best part is that she “gets it”. One of the two podcasts I will NOT miss an episode of!

MJ 3105La Vida Loca to the Rescue! This podcast and accompanying materials has improved my life a number of times this school year. First off, Annabelle is (as a student pointed out) relentlessly cheerful, even if she’s going through difficult times. She doesn’t try to hide those, but her positive attitude makes anyone feel better and more able to cope. Two of the most recent times the podcast/blog connection have helped me lately were the Teacher Appreciation Week ideas…my colleagues were absolutely delighted, as well as being shocked that I wrote to each one of them. And now I have the perfect way to survey students of all levels to find out what I’m doing right. Every teacher should connect with Annabelle, language acquisition or astrophysics. She helps make joy an intrinsic part of the day.

Chiara Monticelli DabneyThe best podcast for active WL teachers!La maestra Loca, aka Annabelle, brightens up my day with her enthusiasm and authentic self. I listen to her any time I need a good idea or a pick-me-up. I recommend her podcast to all the WL - and as a matter of fact non WL teachers - that are and want a more energetic and fun classroom!
