Animus JunkeeGreat podcast for gamers by gamersGreat podcast for people that loved this HZD and HFW! Love the way you guys cover aspects of gameplay and a little bit of lore and point out little stuff you might miss while playing. Can’t wait for Horizon to make a new game so we can get another season of the podcast.

Sarah ManxFun and NostalgicThis podcast has been a great way to revisit the games and experience the story and gameplay from other perspectives. The two hosts have different play styles, and it's fun to hear them debate (I disagree with some of these other reviews—I hear playful banter). The accompanying Discord channel is also such a welcoming and respectful community of gamers (which is honestly pretty rare). Thank you for adding so much to the experience of my favorite game series!

CerebelleumMansplaining, no fact checkingI want to start off by saying this is my favorite game, so I was excited to find a long podcast to binge through. Now, I love Poptart/Christina. She’s got some great takes, I like her input, etc. She is one of the only reasons I could keep listening to more episodes. But the male podcaster Jaa is really rude, he constantly talks over and negates what she has to say, and gives out a lot of misinformation. He constantly talks down to her and speaks like the way she plays the game is wrong, or like the way he plays is the only right way. When she has a good take, or says something about the story, I feel like Jaa always has a “but…” following everything she says. He really seems to have an ego that overshadows the podcast. Don’t listen to this if you want an accurate and fun conversation about the games. It’s mostly him complaining about everything in the game, and incorrectly explaining the story. A fact checker wouldn’t hurt…

El nacho cheeseThere is no “correct” way to enjoy a video gameSo I really have been getting into the Horizon series lately and wanted something to listen to when I was unable to actually be playing the game. At first I liked how Jaa and Christina both had different playstyles than I did so I felt like I could experience things differently. But early on I felt like there were tons of times where Jaa would imply or downright state that the way Christina was playing the game wasn’t valid. It was a minor annoyance at first, but once I noticed it, I found myself being more and more annoyed with every passing episode. I made it until episode 13 before I felt like it had just straight up turned into “Mansplaining: the podcast” with the comments moving from subtly condescending to openly snide. The final straw for me was when Christina had said something and Jaa said he wouldn’t make fun of her too much even though she had given perfectly valid reasons for why she did that. I will miss hearing Christina’s thoughts on the game and I was enjoying hearing the bits of lore that I didn’t manage to catch on my play through. But it’s not worth being enraged 3-4 times per episode, and in an increasing amount, just to hear the things I do like. Christina, you deserve better, and I sincerely hope you’ve moved on to bigger and better things since recording this.

Meme Jr.Poptart the geniusThis podcast is amazing. Poptart? Go back and watch episode twelve, and see how amazingly close your theory was to the truth. I don’t know if you heard it somewhere, or if you are just a genius!
