Although I was sad to head that VA Club was going away, I’m so here for Blue Eyes Crying By The Chips. Great idea for a show and the first episode of this new era is proof!

I don’t get emotional catharsis from music personally so this is a perfect podcast for me to listen to. I get to hear a completely different experience of music and emotions from the ever talented and gracious host and her guests. The gentle pace is soothing to listen to and host and guests allow a lot of space for each other’s experiences. A top favorite already!

This podcast feels a little bit like microdosing therapy, especially for a stalwart non-cryer like myself. Went into it excited to hear Niko Stratis talk about music and came out of it thinking about my issues with vulnerability and the walls I build around loved ones... anyways, the music talk was also great (love Phoebe! Love boygenius!) I'm excited to hear more and broaden my musical and emotional perspective.

Niko is super funny, and being the same age I feel like the references are like a podcast done entirely in dog whistles.

This podcast seems to have been conceived specifically for me and I love it. Niko is a wonderful host, the guests are great, and listening to conversations about albums I owned in high school makes me want to make mix tapes for all the friends I used to obsess over liner notes with. Absolutely perfect.

I tuned in to as soon as I saw that Alex Steed was going to be on this pod. Previously listening to You Are Good‘s empire records episode and I liked how Niko vibed with Alex & Sarah. I love the idea of reviewing a soundtrack and reflecting on current events at the time of its release. It’s both nostalgic and informative! I would love to hear the breakdown of repo man and Valley girl soundtracks! I have never seen/heard Singles-lived the chicago version & so into the deep dive !! Whatever Niko covers ill be listening!

Niko is a great host! I’m looking forward to more episodes.
