DuckyEkinsExcellent Episode 83 with MKHLoved the insight on UFC (I’m not a watcher). Mary Katherine Ham presented the sport and the fans in an enlightening way. I still probably won’t watch, but I do appreciate masculine men and their place in our world.
-
Mike5591637Who was the strange voice? It was disconcerting.
-
nduwhsuehwjsixyebsidfk?Love the show!Smart people talking about things…and Dominic Pino arguing in for the arbitrary strike zone in baseball.
-
kmj sarasotafabulous land management epCharles is great and his programming is a great break from current election hysteria.
-
BoilingrugLast man on earthLots of good ideas here…I’m curious why no one considers military bases as post-apocalypse shelters (very self sufficient) or railways as a means to move to various locations.
-
Greta🍄Your road tripReally enjoyed this episode. Road trips are the best.
-
Walter's PersonWhizzbang!Great fun! Possibly the 'First Annual"?

FanabcListening to understandDavid French was, as always, so wise, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. I appreciate Charlie giving him the opportunity to express himself, even as he respectfully disagreed with some points. I learn so much from a podcast like this, and even though I agreed mostly with David, we should all be willing to listen to more than one side before making a decision.
-
Ryan NotiI’m with David FrenchI thought it was bizarre and ridiculous that Charlie kept insisting French make a case for backing Kamala Harris WITHOUT invoking Donald Trump as a reason. That’s like asking someone to make a persuasive argument for taking several rounds of chemotherapy without mentioning a cancer diagnosis. Obviously David French wouldn’t be endorsing a Democrat were it not for our desperate collective need to survive the cancer that is Trumpism. In this conversation, French was the obvious healthy conservative, while Charlie sounded a lot more like a nakedly partisan Republican.
-
SafaviehExcellentCharlie is a great intellect and communicator. On David French: he so obviously wants to punish Trump that he will create any excuse, ie, sliding scales of disqualifications (?) to cast a vote for Harris who makes no bones about her great love of Equity.
-
NHTKOGreat Podcast, but…….Charlie is unreasonably British in his sense of humor and it makes me ashamed each time I laugh as hard as I do as an American. Also he gives great interviews and political insights I suppose.
-
101732David French discussionThanks for having David French on to provide an opposing viewpoint. It was courageous on your part as well as informative to the listeners. Too many media platforms are averse to giving voice to differing opinions.
-
bose 901David is so infected with TDSThank you Charles C W Cooke for allowing David to expose his disease. The Biden/Harris administration allowed the invasion of Ukraine and October 7. I contend that neither would have happened under DJT. Since David is hanging his hat on that one issue he’s proven himself to be misguided. Great interview
-
Darren ByeOsmosisThank you for Osmosis show with Wilfred Reilly. Spot on. He is good. As is your show.
-
Anna_B_NanaA must listenCharles is brilliant and absolutely hilarious. His most recent episode (at this point #64), The Saga of Boiling Rug, was the perfect combination of delightfully rediculous and thought provoking. I listened twice, something I rarely do for any other show.
-
LonePunditMore Troll Owning!I was absolutely delighted by Charlie's superb masterpiece of an opera that he wrote to local Apple Podcasts reviewer, Boiling Rug. This bit had me laughing out loud! It was soooo good. Sometimes Charlie just jumps right into the show with his guests, but we need more of these kind of introductions. I am all for Charlie owning some more trolls. Only God knows (because I'm assuming he has no friends) how Boiling Rug is taking in this epic owning. Thank you Charlie!

Rrrexorcist16 starsIf I could go higher I would. Had me at “boiling rug opera.”
-
zwallenBest Conservative Voice of Our DayIn my book, Cooke is best conservative mind and commentator of our day. I listen to a lot of podcasts, but Cooke’s show and The Editors top my must-listen list. His analyses are always dead-on, beautifully articulated, informative, and also entertaining. I also enjoy following Boilingrug’s crybaby and illiterate reviews of this show.
-
pdl2015CharlesLove this podcast. It’s great to hear different perspectives.
-
Captrags80Stimulates my brainCharlie Cooke is a smart and righteous dude. Great guests and topics.
-
TomS NorfolkPeter RobinsonMr. Robinson is breath of fresh air in his remembrance of some real adults in the room! Love the Peter Jennings fade-out as a tribute to a watershed moment. Well done!
-
nkay33476I was born in 1959What a fantastic interview. I pray for that America again.
-
jewls317Peter RobinsonThat was such a wonderful historical trip down memory lane! I too could have listened to more. Thank you!
-
dailyklOral historyThe episode with Peter Robinson is one of the best oral histories I have heard. His historical accounts, mixed with my childhood memories of televisions broadcasts and adults talking, took me back to a time I witnessed but didn’t appreciate or understand until now.
-
A Wyoming FriendEpisode 60, Write and RonOutstanding!! I’m a Wyoming listener and enjoyed this so much! Everyone: you must listen to this one. Thank you, Mr. Cooke!
-
OldinSFPeter Robinson episodeA terrific behind the scenes look at the Reagan administration.
-
Tim8557The Wall SpeechI could have listened for another hour of the interview with Peter Robinson, both he and Charles were entertaining. Hopefully you have him back on.
-
Harryschill25Perspective on modern America with a long historical viewCharles Cooke is very witty and dry about absurd claims made by the left, but also open to discussing real divides in conservative philosophy. Great variety of guests, including Sonny Bunch- great cultural critic!
-
Ben ConnellyLuther Abel Deserves a Medal for Being the Butt of Charlie’s JokesI love the bizarre opening of each show, and have now figured out that each one will end with some joke at Luther Abel’s expense. If Mad Dogs and Englishmen had to go, this is a good replacement. Where else can you listen to two former Englishmen talk for an hour about how much they love America?
-
Lookingfortruth, notspinDefinitely a 5 star podcast!Episode 56 may well be the best discussion to which I have ever listened. Thank you, Charlie!
-
KleegrubaughEpisodes 55 & 56 were superb!I always listen. Every episode is excellent. These two were exceptional.
-
Alexandria BillEpisode 56This episode was terrific. A different focus from the usual political fare, but it was great to hear a thoughtful, respectful discussion of religion between two intelligent people with different perspectives but a commitment to understanding each other’s thinking.
-
KatieMaygalaxyEpisode 51I have no interest in sports, but episode 51 helped me to understand—a bit—those who do. I felt sympathy for their disappointments where before I would have only felt that they were very silly indeed.
-
Christopher McCallCharles C. W. CookeEpisode 50 was absolutely brilliant and hilarious!!! If you haven’t already listened please do so especially if your sports team has failed you in the past and you felt pain and heartbreak!
-
LFox12SuggestionLong time listener and admirer here. Today I listened to “Charles GPT” - your guest spoke SO fast and SO mumbly that 80% of his commentary was incomprehensible. Sounded like he was speaking through helium at 2.5 x speed with marbles in his mouth. PLEASE coach your guests ahead of time about the important of speaking clearly, slowly, and articulately. This is usually not a problem with your guests, but today’s show was awful to listen to.
-
Silly LeslieAn exemplary AmericanLove the podcast. Love Charlie (the ,rueful podcast on sports disappointments being a uniquely creative episode). *But* his rant on politics being boring under Trump was, unfortunately, as boring, and as trite, as the subject.
-
No Not this TimeGreat PodcastVery well produced and interesting. I appreciate hearing Charles' discussion of serious topics and his humorful approach to the less-than serious.
-
GaPeach83One of my favorite podcastsI’m a conservative and Charles Cooke is among my favorite writers. This podcast is informative, funny and timely.
-
Dave in NBI learn a lot each showCharlie is smarter than you and me. Most of his guests are too. You’ll leave each show smarter.
-
Walker1961Refreshing and honestCharlie Cooke’s guests are far outside the usual political podcast guests and offer truthful, refreshing perspectives that voters simply need to hear. More of this please!
-
EkmcguirElegantBest right-leaning podcast in terms of being entertaining and well-produced. Don’t always agree with Charlie, but he is always fun to listen to and brings generally solid and mature arguments to the table.
-
Bob F7Big Fan of Clare’s CW CookeI love this podcast and his writing. My only complaint is there’s not a podcast every week.
-
Bouncy egg rollAdulationGreatest podcast ever , I would definitely subscribe to a Charles Cooke Radio Play (CCRP) Podcast.
-
Love4LolaUnbound intelligenceI love this podcast. Mr Cooke is so insightful, intelligent, curious, unafraid and also very funny. I admire his love of America and his remarkable understanding of and demand for adherence to the Constitution. His guests are invariably extremely interesting and I learn so much while enjoying the host and guests. Keep up the great work.
-
meb1124Real Nebraska listener 😡NR podcast line up keeping me sane in these times. Thank you Charles & Co.
-
DudeoflifeCCW Cooke really delivers!Excellent podcast with interesting guests from the '70s Sports Guy to a fascinating American professor of Economics in Israel. Absolute must-listen podcast for me.
-
HunnidewCharles CW Cooke is a national treasureThoughtful, well reasoned and articulate. One of very few voices that are actually worth listening to on politics.
-
Falcons Rule!!!!!!5 stars - great insights, topics & guestsI don’t agree with everything Charlie says, but I think he is one of the deepest & most interesting thinkers in the political/philosophical space today. He also introduces the audience to all sorts of interesting guests. Worth the listen!
-
173gmoneyWisdomThis guy always delivers wise thoughts on relevent topics. Top notch podcast
-
AlamolawbAs Charles requested:The only thing keeping me from descending into hourly panic attacks and a generalized sense of existential dread is this very podcast — and its wonderful guests.
