Mostly a Prem show with some USMNT and a tiny amount of MLS. One host is a proper football man who seems to cringe at any change to the game. The other host would probably be happier doing a Philadelphia Eagles podcast. Not sure why he watches soccer since he states most games are bad.

JJ can’t keep his head out of politics. He’s all soccer bud, talk soccer.

The opening for the podcast about the US, losing to Mexico, stunned me in its vulgarity. Or maybe it was an advertisement I don’t know, but I unfollowed immediately.

I don’t hate you JJ

JJ especially is blinded by his disdain towards Manchester United. It’s a mixture of pre-solidified dislike and his generic stubbornness that makes him infuriatingly biased.

Andrew is fine. The Sligo fool is a narcissist of the highest order. He is unlistenable, and overuses the word fulsome. No original thought, parrots better journalists’ and podcasters’ opinions. Occasionally giving them credit. But more often not. Thick as a brick. Also, can’t pronounce Antipodes. “”Anti-podes. Dense muck savage.

Always look for new episodes, and is the first one I listen to.

Great podcast. Appointment listening for any American football fan.

American Here. Didn’t grow up following soccer, on the contrary always viewed it as that weird boring sport. That all changed in 2014. Got swept up in World Cup fever, and listening to these guys truly gave me the love of the beautiful game to this day. Clear and humble analysis, Andy and JJ are as authentic as they come. I've been listening to Caught Offside since 2018, and it's one of my favorite podcasts. Andrew and JJ provide great insights on soccer, covering the USMNT, Barclays Premier League, and more. Their fun banter and strong community engagement make each episode a joy. Just a heads-up: JJ can belittle people on X for having different views, especially political. While this doesn’t affect the podcast itself, it can be off-putting. Despite this, the podcast remains fantastic and highly recommended for any soccer fan. I always look forward to the PODs

Love listening to Andrew and JJ. Always provide balanced reviews of USMNT performances, keep me up to date on EPL happenings, while always touching on various European leagues and international tournaments. It’s not just informative but enjoyable banter.

I love the banter between the boys. This pod is a lovely blend of friendly fodder and statistics/analyses. I’m starting following other soccer leagues because of this podcast. I also appreciate how they include the women’s game as well. Highly recommended for all your soccer needs.

Used to love this show and wouldn't miss one since the first year it started. Over time, the hosts have been flanderized and it's personally tough to listen to not being a Liverpool supporter. Will definitely still listen to some US and other coverage from time to time and definitely appreciate you boys and how you helped me love the sport even more.

Love this podcast—found it two years ago and have listened to every episode since. Andrew and JJ’s love and enthusiasm for the game has actually driven me to be an even bigger fan of football around the world. They provide insightful analysis for the game and do it in an accessible and entertaining way. Listening to them makes me feel like I’m with close friends discussing sports. Andrew is really good. JJ is downright miserable and often can ruin an entire podcast just to be a grumpy contrarian. The last straw was how disrespectful he is to Andrew, by purposely spoiling games and not just saying sorry I won’t do it again.

I have listened to this podcast for eight years or so, and I can say that there have been a lot of good pods that have provided me with a different perspective. However, recently I have become jaded with their bias.

Hourly breakdown of the show: 23 mins - Liverpool 7 mins - Spurs (Andrew seems conscious of not wanting to derail the show with his Spurs fandom, and that effort is appreciated) 30 mins - Every other topic in world soccer

Unless your a Tottenham or Liverpool fan, this podcast can be annoying.

These guys live in a different universe from mine but I love to listen to them and learn about their world

I have been listening to JJ and Andrew for the last 6 years. It is now the only podcast I listen to religiously. I have an hour commute each way to work and I love the long podcasts, they help me get through my drive. Keep making great content!

Started listening a few years ago when some of the World Cup qualifiers were at my hometown and haven’t stopped since. These guys are super passionate and fun. I didn’t watch much EPL before listening but I watch it a good bit now. I usually listen on the way to class and is a great way to start the day. Highly recommend.

If you’re a US National Team fan, Premiere League or just plane bore your friends about the romance of the beautiful game - these 2 blokes are your people. Trust me - you will never be disappointed.

Always a great podcast and coverage of the game. Really a standout in covering the women’s World Cup.

Fast turning into my favourite football (soccer) podcast. The interaction of the two of them, the humour and the plain sense is a wonderful listen.

As opposed to a bad political one. Used to look forward to the show, now I struggle to get through many episodes.

I’m always looking for good football/soccer material to listen to, however, a decade ago there was a dearth of palatable American podcasts to choose from in this vein. Finding Caught Offside—just a few months old at the time—was a pleasant surprise. JJ and Andrew are great and easy to listen to, and this has become my favorite football podcast. Keep up the great work guys!

Such an amazing football podcast! Andrew and JJ are the perfect pair! Hilarious, great takes/banter and know exactly how to keep you hooked the whole time. Been an animal for 4 years now and will continue to always be.

Pod Good

Andrew and JJ have the best soccer podcast out there. They focus on EPL, but cover the big stories across the entire soccer universe. Their deep dive section “In the Club” is one of my favorite recurring features. The guests they get are well versed and offer fantastic information. They’re great friends but get into some fantastically entertaining disagreements. Together they produce some hilarious moments. Dive in to this podcast and then join the animals on their Reddit. CaughtOffside is the the best soccer community their is.

I consume soccer in every media format, and by and large, this is the best and most entertaining podcast. The recent 2hr show after JJ’s baby (congrats) flew by and left me wanting it to go on for another 2hrs. Keep up the great work.

What I want in a futbol (soccer) podcast: 1) Not over produced (aka ‘broken’ mics but still recording) 2) Real time response to key events (aka Emergency Pods) 3) Family friendly (aka my futbol playing boys can listen and laugh with me 14-11yo) 4) A consumer review of futbol (aka not tactic on tactic) 5) Enjoyable consistency (aka the humor and puns you expect but in a good way) Thanks guys!

Been listening since the early days in 2014. Although their content is slanted toward Spurs and Liverpool (as is understandable given the boys’ allegiances), they run through all Premier league highlights, have excellent USMNT coverage, produce wonderful World Cup lead in and commentary, and have just a great banter between them. I did a “help-a-fan” submission back early in and was given Newcastle as my team. I followed the team down to the Championship and now look forward to what is to come for the club!
